The scene opens up in the garden area of a hotel, the weather is turning cold but still people are trying to spend as much time outside in the fresh air and any sun that decides to show. Among these people laying face down across a wooden bench is Dita Morgan.
She rests her chin on her hands and watches the people going by, she’s dressed in cut off shorts with fishnets underneath, Converse knee high boxing boots, a black vest top and a fluffy short brown and white coat is next to her, her brown hair is messy and falls into her eyes, her make up is last nights and the black polish on her nails is chipping off.
Her eyes scan the gardens and she swings her legs as she looks around. She winces at the lingering pain from her last match, there are bruises remaining on her arms. She knows she could have done better, much better but she is still pleased she made it into a PPV match. but she can’t dwell on her disappointment, she has to think about Meltdown. She sits up and watches the sunset, pulling her coat around her tighter, stifling a yawn. Her eyes look at the last remaining people walking around before she heads inside the hotel.
While walking towards the lift she hears her name called, she turns to see a someone she hasn’t seen since her ECFW days four years ago; Layla Monroe. The girl exchange a hug before Layla lawnches in to her normal bubbly mode
Layla Monroe: Oh My God! What are you doing here? How long has been? Look look great by the way, I heard you cleaned up but you look fantastic!
Dita laughs and holds up her hand to stop her talking
Dita Morgan: Its been a very long time, are you free for a bit? We could catch up?
Layla nods and the girls walk towards the hotel bar, the grab a table in the corner, after the waiter takes their order they continue their conversation.
Dita Morgan: It’s been about four years, yes rehab got me sorted, and I’m now signed with APW. We have a show in town this week, you totally should come along.
Layla Monroe: Is it a good female division? You know I am thinking of getting back in the ring.
Dita Morgan: Well they have some great female wrestlers, but its totally mixed, I fight along side the guys most of the time.
Layla Monroe: OMG! I totally couldn’t do that, plus Matt would freak.
Dita Morgan: You two still together?
As the waiter returns with their drinks Layla holds up her left hand to show a very large shiny diamond on her ring finger.
Dita Morgan: The boy did good!
Layla Monroe: That he did! I’ll have to tell him I bumped into you, he’s around the hotel somewhere, he’ll go all misty eyed and think about getting back in the ring. So you said you go up against guys now? Who are you wrestling this week?
Dita Morgan: "The Soul of Philly" TJ, He’s just come off a debut win and dude is tall, and kinda big.
Layla Monroe: You’re going to get squished. I seriously would worry about getting in the ring against guys each week. On off matches are fine but all the time?
Dita Morgan: It just makes me work harder, I’ve had my fair share of bumps and bruises but this week I really have to get my head back in the game. Compared to me this guy is huge. I mean huge. But the bigger they are the harder they fall, since being a part of the roster I’ve gone head to head with guys each week and its taught me a lot, I’m slowly getting more confidence in the fact that I can do this and want to be here. I just have to start pulling in those wins again - And I wont be backing down from any match.
Layla Monroe: Stubbern as always.
Dita Morgan: Thats never going to change, do you want to grab food? I need to hear all about those wedding plans.
The girls continue to gossip as the scene fades out.
