Last weeks win in the triple threat match with the silly, Mr.Dangerous, and the fellow newcomer Mike Knoxx ended in a win going Dante's way. This was a big starting point and the emo looking fellow was going to try and keep this momentum going. Tonight's matchup was going to be against, "The Soul of Philly", TJ. That was cool. He knew this was not going to be a walk in the park. TJ was a strong competitor and he would not need to do his homework on him to see what he was up against. His reputation was enough. However, instead of looking at this from such an underdog point of view, Dante was going to instead focus on the opportunity this match presented. As he and fellow Meltdown members were all aware, The Soul of Philly was going to be moving to Asylum. so, this was going to be his last match as a Meltdown competitor. And who was his last match going to be against. Thats correct...Dante. A win here would send TJ to Asylum carrying a loss and more importantly improve his status as an in ring competitor. A win here would show everyone in the back that this kid has arrived. Dante knew this was a big opportunity. It would be better to seize the opportunity be the throat rather than let it slip by. Also, a win against TJ would also show Dante himself that he could fight toe to toe with the best of them. There was alot to gain from this matchup and nothing to lose pretty much. His momentum would take a blow but that wasn't something that could not be regained as time went on. Dante liked his chances. He liked this opportunity. But he loved the fact that he was going to go out there and give it his all. His resolve demanded him to do anything to win in this match. He was going to go out there and put it all on the line. He was going to go out there and lay his body on the line for this one. Coming out on top was a definate must for Dante tonight.
To pull out this win, Dante would need to be resilient. Tj was going to come hard and fast. He knew that. So he was going to be faster and quicker. He was going to pull out everything in his arsenal. He believed that he could do this. He was determined to do this. He was going to do this. Dante had been in the lockeroom for awhile now. He was clearing his mind. He was getting focused. This was a perfect opportunity and he was not going to blow it because he slipped up. Coming up short was not an option. He was going to send this off knowing he was going to accrue another loss at the hands of an recent addition to Meltdown. It was at this time, he decided to make his intentions known. This was a good time to do it. Standing up, he moved the chair that he had sat in back in the corner. He was ready to go. He would step out of the lockeroom and search for a cameraman. It would take no time at all. After a minute of walking around, he found what he was looking for. Once the two locked eyes, Dante would signal for the man to come to him. When he did, Dante informed him of his intentions. With a nod, the cameraman would hoist the camera up and ontop of his shoulder. With a signal, he would tell Dante when it was go time. A second later, he signaled to start.
"Tonight I have a match against the Soul of Philly. From what I hear, it seems he is leaving Meltdown and is going to go to Asylum. So, as his final opponent on Meltdown, I'm going to give him a little going away gift."
He pauses for a little bit and then starts again.
"Tj, I understand that you believe this is going to be a walk in he park. I've been hearing this and that about how I'm going to lose. It seems popular vote is going your way. I'm not one to hate, and I clearly understand the reasoning behind that. You, a rising star being promoted squaring off against a newcomer with one match under his belt. That sounds like one that is going to be pretty easy huh. BUT...you couldn't be more wrong. You see, this newcome is one who refuses to be looked down upon. I'm not one to accept or lay down because popular vote has me losing. NO! I am going to prove to you and the rest of that lockeroom that I deserve to be here. I am going to show you that I have arrived."
He pauses again, starts again.
"You see TJ, this newcomer isn't going to lay down for you. I am going to fight you tooth and nail.I am going to stand up and show you how tough I am. I am going to take whatever you throw, and still get back up and stand. I am willing to go to whatever lengths it takes to win. I am even willing to put my own body on the line for this win tonight. Bummer huh. Yeah, bummer for you maybe. Not for me though. I plan to see you layed flat on the mat looking up at the lights. While you're on the ground laying there, I want you to see that this guy right here is for real. Your going to look up into the lights and think to yourself, "Dante is a hell of a competitor". Lastly, I want you to know that your going away match here on Meltdown ended in defeat at the hands of Dante. So, like you stated before, I guess it is a bummer."
After the sentence, Dante would just stand there looking into the camera as if it was TJ's eyes itself. He would stare at the camera for a few seconds before turning around and walking away as the scene fades to black.
