----Day Of The Match----
The scene opening to noise of a slamming door. There was the notorious rookie as he stood in front of his small apartment where he lived. His signature toothy grin upon his visage, the usual over confidence of Krunk. Not one who usually trained before a match, thinking of himself as a man that never required preparation.
Each step he took closer to the arena where he first match would take place. Taking himself first to a restaurant near the actual arena, he had to have a meal of his favorite foods, chicken & waffles. Taking a quick shortcut to the actual restaurant where he was meeting with his mother.
Taking a seat at the table with an elderly woman, his mother. As they ate, his mother began conversing with her son. Asking questions similar to an interviewer.
"Tyler, well it looks like today is your day, don't you feel nervous?"
"Momma, I ain't nervous, there's no reason for there to be. It might be my first match, but I'll have to haul ass in there and whoop both of there asses in a jiffy. They don't phase me, I just gotta keep going with I do, how I roll! Right now I feel as if I could fight the whole roster. Well I could but you now I'm just a rookie in the business. Most of the big guys won't actually see me, so I'll have to take action."
"Boy it looks like your so damn sure that your actually gonna win this thing. Same damn trait your father had, but it brought so many problems. Don't you remember how it affected him, he thought he could do EVERYTHING, but then leaving us due to the cancer he had. You positive you got this in the bag, Tyler?"
"Momma, I'mma go in there with all I got. I ain't scared neither am I nervous. I just gotta keep going with what I got at the moment. I will kick every single ass I have to momma. Its how this game works, and to the other two, they might be thinkin' the same thing. They both assume they'll be leaving with me even bringing a fight. Well you all ready know that's not the true ending, and we'll see what happens tonight."
Continuing to take bites of his chicken & waffles on his plate as he poured more syrup from the cone shaped container onto his waffles, waiting for his mom to soak in what he just said. Tilting her head to face Krunk before speaking.
"Aye boy! You acting as if your special! What makes you think you can beat those other men! I even heard that one of them has been in the business longer then you! Boy your acting just like your father now! Who ever told you that you were special?"
The instant she completed her last sentence was the sudden moment he stopped chewing. A dramatic pause as his eyes attempted eye contact with her. Dropping his fork against the plate as it made the sharp noise.
"Momma, YOU WERE THE ONE THAT TOLD ME I WAS SPECIAL! Every time I walked back from school to home, right when I came through that door, you would tell me I was special. Now you assuming that I ain't gonna make it? I'm not one of the guys who gives the people the "I must win, I cannot lose" bullshit. I'm just gonna go in with all I got. We'll see how it goes later tonight if I can go for the gold."
"Better show em whatchu you got then boy!"
Krunk didn't need to speak. Getting up as he stepped towards the door. Before even opening the door he would nod back at his mother. A nod assuring her that he would succeed. Sprinting towards the arena as the scene slowly turned to black.
After an hour had passed, only one man was walking through the hallway. He had one more interview to go before the actual match itself would begin. With a single push of a door he entered the locker room, as he began putting on knee bracers that he needed to wear, ordered by his doctor due to his football history as a running back. He sat on the bench changing into his wrestling attire, awaiting Larry any moment now before rushing out to the ring.
Noticing the blonde interviewer as he took a seat right next to Krunk.
"So you ready for the match, Krunk?"
"Man Larry you already know it."
"I don't get how you aren't nervous or anything, you seem like your use to the feeling. Your debuting and opening for Meltdown! You gonna get the crowd roaring with it."
"Man I'm just gotta go and get through with it! Its already amazing that I got to be on here but I get a chance. I'm gonna go in, and I'm going to leave, hopefully happy. My main goal is to whoop some ass."
"Well it seems as if the John Combe won the hearts of the fans over with his speech. How important do you think the crowd is when it comes to this match."
"Being an actual football player myself back in my High School days, I say cheers are important and also help with performance. Yet its bad to change yourself just for the crowd. If the crowd on't like me that sucks, but I ain't gonna change for just the crowd, and hopefully they like me for being myself."
"Well thats nice. No one has made any contact with Mr. Dangerous, one of the opponents you'll be facing soon. Well they did with the other, John Combe. Well he said he has to win. He also said that your just a punk based on our earlier interview and he's willing to pin you or Mr. Dangerous tonight! How do you feel about this?"
From a calm and serious face, it slowly changed into his toothy grin as he chuckled a bit.
"Thanks for telling me that Larry. It seems like this man, another rookie like myself is talking loud before the match actually happened. Its as if this guy thinks he is actually gonna pin me, then he gotta another thing coming. Now I'll show him how its done and everyone will witness. The true outcome of this match tonight!"
He responded with a toothy grin before walking with his arrogant swagger towards the ring, awaiting once more for his music and cue to move to the ring.
