I agree that the laugh-track can be the worst thing ever (See: Whitney), but while watching some shows I can ignore it. I understand the hate on Big Bang Theory, but it's a show that tries to tailor itself towards people that don't like being tailored to. Geeks by nature I think want to find their own passions and own interests. Did anyone expect Firefly to become a Geek cult show? I know it was a Joss Whedon sci-fi, but no one knew it would be as cult-ish as it was.
Big Bang Theory is a way to bring the "geek" style into a mainstream audience. As much as it's based around four "geeks", I don't really think the show is for them. I can't picture any of the characters liking this show (save for Penny). So, I guess my point is, it's the most watched comedy on Thursday nights, so they probably don't give a shit if you don't like their laugh track.

Another show I find myself liking is Level Up on Cartoon Network. No idea why I like it but I do.

Red Dwarf. Now that's a show with a laugh track I appreciate.

I don't know what I'm gonna do after this thursday as Suits' summer season ends thursday and HIMYM doesn't start until the 10th. And Sally, I don't really think it's repeating itself only because that's the point of the show: It's Future Ted telling his kids, and us, how he their mother. Thus the trails and errors of his journey. The last two seasons have ended similarly because of they had to.
Plus, the whole show is because Ted's mom and dad told him a lame "How we met" story. "We met at a bar." "That's it?" "It was an Irish bar, i think."
