A lot was racing through the mind of John Combe, last weeks match was a huge let down for him, even though he never got pinned, he still felt disappointed in himself, he said to the fans he would win this match without a doubt and now he couldn't help but feel embarrassed. He was punishing himself, training extra hard, trying to build himself up, prepare himself for the upcoming match, he didn't know the opponent yet but he was sure to find out when he arrived at the arena, he was just hoping it would be a one on one match so he has a true chance to prove himself the fans of Meltdown. He drops the dung bells he was lifting on the floor and walks to the gym showers. The fans words to him after the match insulting him about his loss echo'd in his head. He got changed in the gym locker rooms and left the gym. As he exited the front doors he had a look around the street, run-down neighbourhood, he looked on and saw his black BMW, he felt out of place, he got in the car and set off for the arena.

scene two; backstage corridor

John Combe barely stepped in the arena and already Hannah Storm had approached him, he looked on at her as she looks into the camera and begins to speak.
Hannah Storm: "Ladies and gentlemen, I am standing here now with the man who claims he will be the next big thing in the world of APW, John Combe! Mr. Combe, the question everyone wants to ask you, how are you feeling after last weeks defeat?"
John Combe: "You know Hannah, last week did not go as I had planned, but everyone loses, and to be fair, I didn't even get pinned, I was barely out the ring 5 seconds and Shadow had Benny in the pin. It's not gonna put me down a few pegs, I'm going to continue like I have been since I got here, confidence is the key, nothing is impossible."
Hannah Storm: "There's been a few rumours roaming around the backstage area that you and Krunk don't particularly like each other, do you care to elaborate on this?"
John Combe: "Krunk, the guy's all talk, on my debut I showed him and Mr. Dangerous how to wrestle, and the guy got embarrassed that and underdog like me pulled a victory over him, yeah I didn't pin him, but my arm got raised at the end of the match-up."
Hannah Storm: "I've been asked to inform you of your opponent tonight, you will be facing off in singles action, against Jayden Carmichael."
John Combe: "A chick? I'm fighting a girl? What the hell is going on, you know what Hannah, I'm going to make the general manager regret this decision, I'm going to put this girl in a world of pain that she didn't even know existed, I have no problem in stepping in the ring with a girl."
Hannah Storm: "Unfortunately that's all we have time for Mr. Combe, so until next time, and good luck in your match tonight."
Hannah walks away from John, as he chuckles to himself with an evil grin on his face, as if he needed luck, he was gonna make an impact tonight, make people hate him even more, and he loved the idea of it. The scene slowly fades black before going to commercial.

'Rockstar' by Dappy hits the arena sound system as the fans begin to heavily boo, some fans chant 'You suck' and different insults, John emerges from the curtain with his head down, he doesn't pay any attention to fans and walks straight down the ramp and rolls into the ring, he asks for a microphone and receives one, he immediately begins to speak.
John Combe: "Cut the music, cut it right now!"
The music slowly dies down as the fans continue to boo, Combe shouts over them.
John Combe: "Alright just shut up, I'm not in any type of mood to be listening to you scum bags! Last week, I got screwed, I left the ring and straight away Horrowitz got pinned, the lack of talent in this business is unreal! I have still not been pinned, and I don't plan to be any time soon, I have just been informed that tonight, I have my first ever singles match! This is my chance to show you fans that I'm the best god damn superstar this business has to offer! The only thing is.. my opponent, Jayden Carmichael, the GM thought it would be funny to schedule me in a match against a girl. This is not going to be funny for anyone except me, cause when that bell rings, I ain't gonna take it easy on her, I'm going to hurt her, I'm gonna make her wish she never became a wrestler, tonight they will talk about this beating for years to come, this will be displayed all over the world, me, John Combe taking all his anger from last week out on the one victim. Jayden, all I'm gonna say to you is, you better come ready, cause when you get stretchered out the arena, don't expect any sympathy from me, I'm not going to help you up, I'm not going to shake your hand, I'm not going to be a gentleman. I'm going to do my job, and put you through un-imaginable pain. Tonight is about me having my fun, and you, your just a little toy. I'll see you tonight Jayden."
Combe looks straight into the camera and gives a wink before rolling out the ring, his theme music hits again and he walks up the stage with a swagger as the fans boo, he was a wide grin on his face, he stands on the stage and takes a look back before the scene fades to a commercial.
