Sometimes opportunity just walks into your life when you least expect it. You are not even aware that change is necessary because are so comfortable right where you are….all your needs are being met and well you are content. Well life just isn’t that simple. You get curves when you know you should get a fast ball…those are the times when you make adjustments..slow down your swing and go opposite field. So when you are you are at the crossroads; have no fear because sometimes…just sometimes…you should go left instead of right. Opportunities Abound!!
I took some time to take in Youngstown..I mean being on the Meltdown roster has taken me to some veryyyyy interesting places so far. Tokyo I can dig...Chicago is my kinda town...but Peroria..and now Youngstown, but I digress I did find somewhere to enhance my calm. There are times when you need to get away from life and find some peace and solitude. Enjoy the finer things in life, art, music, theater, fine dining. Work can be consuming and I find it refreshing to just bask in the presence of imagination and pure creativity…after a visit to the Butler Institute of Art I the “The Smooth One” is anxious to get to business. I have had some strong performances since my debut in APW and well the next page in the Smooth Journal is about to be written.
Backstage Hannah Storm is getting prepared for Meltdown when The Smooth One: Mr. William D. Williams Jr. strolls into her office looking well like a Megastar in the making. He is wearing a perfectly tailored Navy blue Prada suit and black calf skin shoes, Louis Vuitton belt and MoMo sunglasses..HE IS JUST SO SMOOTH

The Smooth One: Hello Ms. Storm
Hannah Storm: Hello Mr. Williams. What are you doing here so early? Are you trying to get a head start on the competition?
The Smooth One: I just like to get to the show early to get a feel for things. I don’t think I’ve had the pleasure it; it is very nice to meet you. How are things with the baby?
Hannah Storm: Things are well…keeping me busy..But a girls gotta work right? *grinning* It is very sweet of you though… thanks for asking. Well.. aren’t you looking mighty dapper! You know I heard you were a pretty sharp dresser and you don’t disappoint. I’ve been watching you Mister…...you held your own in the Japanese Battle Royale Death Match and the week before with Streets, Lively and Shadow!!.
The Smooth One: *smiling* Well I do what I can, and thank you for the compliment. Yeah I managed not to get banged up too bad in the battle royal, although I'm not exactly satisfied with the performance I gave, and I still gained quite a bit of knowledge from the match. I learned a lot in the 3 man tag too... I am getting better, and it's only a matter of time until I make the "Smooth Transition" into a champion. Get it..Smooth Transition...LOL..Honestly, I’ve got a long way to go before I can really be the best in the business. On a more serious note I did want to have a word with you about why I am here..
Hannah Storm: Well please ..indulge me
The Smooth One: Of course... I have done so much in my life, but this was one area in my life that was unfulfilled. I have found success in business and in Hollywood and now I want to prove myself in the squared circle. I want to show the world that I'm not just some sort of joke who couldn't make it in the world that lies beyond the confines of the set of a movie or in a courtroom balancing the scales of justice. So with a word from Young Mannie; I made the decision to follow my passion. I‘ve been trained by one of the finest wrestlers to ever lace up a pair of wrestling boots; I learned everything from power moves to submissions and I have even amassed a capable aerial attack, and that man is the one to thank for it all. Now, I know he may not have garnered the successes of some of the wrestlers that have made a name for themselves in wrestling, but when he got in the ring with someone, they knew they were in with one of the best, and he was a wrestler of immense talent and his ability demanded respect. I want that type of respect and admiration, and if I keep training and working, I'll find myself on top. I know it’s going to be a slow grind, but I have what it takes, and I'm certain of it. The matches I’ve had so far are just the tip of the iceberg, and I know it'll only get tougher the farther I go in wrestling... I can do it though, and what I've done so far... I can do better... I can do much better, and I’ll prove that to the Meltdown roster and to each and every one of the APW fans here and all around the world.
Hannah Storm: Well now you sound awful intense, but it sounds like you have the right stuff
The Smooth One: I do have the right stuff; I truly believe that, and I know it's the truth. I feel like it’s time for a new blood to rise up; it's time for there to become a new face of APW, and I think... No, I know that I can be the face of the company now and for years to come. I am a true technician in the ring, and I can succeed where others fail. Every I move I make is one of true skill in the ring, and my abilities and moves are surgical in their precision and perfection. I can handle the push to that only a select few will ever earn, and I can shoulder the load of being one of the best wrestlers in Meltdown’s. The Smooth One is here to stay, and this is going to be the match where I take it to the next level and make every wrestler on the roster take notice.
Hannah Storm: Are you ready for your next Meltdown match?
Yes I am, and I am excited!! My next match is tag team contest against Comikazee with Roy Speede, "The Silver Lining". He’s a young guy, and he's making his debut with the company, but from what I've heard, he’s a capable and experienced tag team competitor and I can learn a lot from him in this sort of match. He’s a high flyer and a former tag champion on the Indy circuit. I think the fans in APW will enjoy his style of wrestling and I believe working together, our opponents don't stand a chance. You know just being around this young gun has brought something different out in me? It might be the two beautiful ladies that accompany him?? You know the ladies love me..right?..(smiling)
Hannah Storm: Yeah I've heard...(LOL) Well we’ll see about the chemistry between you and Speede. You two are going to have your hands full with Comikazee
The Smooth One: They are a very talented team from what I've seen, and they’ve been together a long time. They are a little undersized, but they are quick and athletic and they come to fight so we won’t overlook them While they are experienced our combination of speed, power and pure wrestling ability that they won't be any match for my tag partner and I... and besides I told Speede when we win he can have one of them to keep as a souvenir. It’s funny... I am not normally the power player in my matches, but I have to use that to my advantage, and that's exactly what I plan to do. You know, if this works out you may see more of Speede and Smooth??
