APW JUNKIE BLOG
APW has under gone quite the surge in the last month, in this process Megastars were drafted to various shows as a wave of new talent inked contracts with wrestling's most elite company, Action Packed Wrestling.
A card was released this past weekend for Overdrive. I was shocked when I read over the line up to see a name missing. Former North American champion Michael Lively who was just drafted to the show. This got my attention as well as other around the rumor mill of wrestling. I placed a call with Michael Lively's camp and the man himself I am told declined speaking with any one.
Briefly after my attempt I received a call back from Michael Lively's agent Aaron Roberts. He had this to say.
"I'm sure you have a lot of questions as do we. I do not have a lot of answers for you at the moment, but I can give you a brief insight as to what is going on to the best of my knowledge. My client, APW Hall of Fame Honoree Michael Lively feels taken advantage of. According to my client he has held up his end of his contractual obligations while APW recently overstepped some boundaries on their side. Lively's legal team is looking into this matter as we speak and are set to meet with those in APW Lively feels are responsible."
I asked Mr. Roberts if he could elaborate on what this dispute was about and he was very vague in response but did drop a little bit of a bomb shell.
"I can't get into the dispute but I can say from our side of the fence we all feel there is strong validity in Lively's claims. The only thing I am at liberty to discuss with you at Michael Lively's request is that he will not be appearing at Overdrive."
This generally threw me for a loop and I tried to get my information. Michael Lively's agent simply thanked me and hung up. Was that a Michael Lively will never appear on Overdrive, or is it only till the dispute is finished? I seem to have more questions then I did prior to the brief enlightenment by Aaron Roberts, Michael Lively's agent. If any more news on this matter breaks I will be sure to share.
