RassleNews reports that rumour and speculation are abundant about the future of Julius Farquhar following the Quintessentially Englishman’s absence this week from an APW promotional show in London.
APW are touring England ahead of the Survive & Conquer pay-per-view, which will be hosted by London’s Wembley Stadium, and the event was first of many this month to promote APW and its shows. Julius Farquhar was a strong part of the event’s promotion and was advertised to be in attendance, but the ten fans that turned up to see their hero were left disappointed by his absence.
It is unclear why Farquhar missed the event, and Asylum General Manager Reginald Schmidt was terse when questioned about the “Quintessentially English” Megastar. Our sources have suggested Farquhar is furious with losing the APW TapOut Championship at Christmas Chaos, and was involved in a 'heated verbal altercation' with Schmidt following his match at Christmas Chaos, but he was expected to participate in the event.
The speculation has been fueled further by the surprising absence of Farquhar from the first Asylum card of 2013 (due to take place in Manchester on 6th January); furthermore, the former TapOut Champion is not being advertised to appear at the Asylum show.
More to follow.
