A recap of last weeks overdrive is shown then the recap cuts to the Overdrive intro video



Pyro shoots from the stage as the fans jump to their feet in cheers as the cameras pan through the crowd before stopping on Darren Harvey and Johnny Chase.

Chase: Welcome everyone to Wednesday Night Overdrive!

Harvey: Tonight is the last stop before Test for the Best.

Chase: What an event its shaping up for me. It was announced 2 weeks ago by Max Carter that Level One and Pence will fight for the World Title. Shadow will defend his Overdrive title against Mr. Strange. Chris Cyrus will defend the Xtreme Title against Assassin.

Harvey: And the Test for the Best tournament, where the winner will be guaranteed a world title shot at Shockwave. The competitors, Slade Craven, Biggs, John Green, Johnny Hardcore, Jason Royce, Jesse Nunez, Streets Wilson and a mystery competitor.

Chase: I’m curious to find out about this mysterious competitor.

Harvey: A well kept secret it has been

The Lights suddenly dim

Chase: What’s going on?
A video package of the man known as Death Wish plays on the tron. Covering the events that have transpired since this mans arrival to the APW. The fans are buzzing from the piece as it ends. Suddenly a man screaming and grunting is heard as a gunshot rings out. The words Death Wish appear on the tron above the entrance stage. People jump to their feet in anticipation for the arrival of this man for the first time in the arena. As suspenseful music begins to play the fans look toward the ramp way.

Chase: We are finally going to see this man live in the arena.

Harvey: It looks that way.

Suddenly the tron comes to life showing the back of the arena which sends the fans into disappointment.

A loud and dusty Harley Davidson motorcycle rumbles on camera. It pulls into a spot as the camera sees nothing but the back of this mysterious person. Long curly jet black hair covers what looks like a bandanna and rests nicely on the top of a leather Sons of Carthage jacket. A Singapore cane sticks out of the top of the jacket almost as a ninja carries his sword this man carries his trusty and famous cane. The bikes engine then dies out as a few drops of oil puddle on the ground below it. It's been a long hard ride to the arena. The man who has yet to be identified reaches into his pocket pulling out a zippo lighter. The man then grabs what looks to be a neatly rolled joint from his ear, apparently the safest place to store your pot when cruising on a bike. It is then placed in his mouth, as the zippo is lit. Smoke begins to dance in the air as the man stands with his back still facing the camera. His arms outstretch forming a crucifix pose. Inside the arena as the fans look on to this wondrous sight outside they begin to boo and shower the air with their distaste for the sight that stands before them.

Harvey: NO...

Chase: It can't be...here..now!!!

The man then turns around wearing the skull mask that has become the identity thus far of Death Wish. He throws the joint to the ground, steps on it, and pulls out his cane. His grasp tightly wraps around the tapped off portion which seems to make the handle grip causing his knuckles to turn a tinge of white. One would think he is one a mission, and has a target just from what has went down and his body language alone. Whomever the target is, they had better prepare for a nasty cane shot upside the head.

As the scene fades it then reappears inside the offices of President Jeff. He stands there looking down at the monitor. He shakes his head in disgust for what he just saw. The president then takes out his cell phone.

Jeff: Yes...this is Jeff. I need you all to be on your toes. He looks as if he is entering the building. Yeah I know who it is. Yeah well you better find him, and find him fast. When you do, throw him out before I have to press charges against him for trespassing. I will not expect anything less then his Blackwell ass cuffed and stuffed in the back of a cop car tonight.

Jeff then hangs up the phone and slides it back into his pocket.

Jeff: The past never stays in the past

We then go back to ringside.

Chase: I’m in Shock

Harvey: Death Wish is….

Chase: Trevor Blackwell

Harvey: A crazy way to kick of Overdrive, but lets go to our opening match.

Chris Cyrus Vs Johnny Hardcore

The bell rings and the two go to lock up, but Chris is quick to boot Johnny in the stomach and grab his head, smashing it into the turnbuckle. Two chops later, Chris sends Johnny to the opposite corner and Chris charges at him, but gets a boot to the face and Johnny charges out and takes the Xtreme Champ down with a clothesline. Johnny picks Chris up and slams him to the mat and bounces off the ropes and drops a knee drop on Chris and hooks the leg for a 2 count. Johnny pulls Chris up and Chris is quick to rake Johnny’s eyes and then tosses him outside the ring through the ropes. Chris goes on the ring apron and as Johnny gets up, Chris jumps off with a double Axe angle between the shoulder blades. The crowd boo’s him and Chris tells the fans to shut up and he’s picking Johnny up. Chris goes to the ring steps and goes to slam Johnny’s head in it, but Johnny blocks it with his foot and slams Chris’s head into the steps then rolls him into the ring. The ref is at a count of 4 when Johnny gets into the ring.

Chase: Taking the action to the outside kinda back fired here on Chris Cyrus.

Chris backs up to the corner and as Johnny approaches him, Chris kicks Johnny and takes him down with a European uppercut. Chris throws Johnny into the ropes and hit’s a spinning heel kick and goes for a cover. 1...2...kick out. Chris then gives Johnny a suplex and then goes for another cover, but Johnny kicks out at 2 again. Chris beginning to get frustrated, picks Johnny up and knocks him down with a back breaker and then goes over to the corner and takes the padding off.

Harvey: What is he doing.

Chris grabs Johnny and goes to slam his face into the exposed steel, but Johnny blocks it and fight back and the two fight towards the middle of the ring. Johnny gets behind Chris and goes for a German suplex, but counts by going behind Johnny and hit’s a diving inverted DDT. Chris signals for the end as he begins climbing to the top rope, but Johnny gets up in time and cuts Chris off hitting Chris foot, causing him to land crotch first on the turn buckle. Johnny climbs up and hooks Chris up for a super plex, but Chris fights out of it and pushes Johnny off the top rope and he lands on his back. Chris stands on the top rope and comes off with a Frog Splash and at the last second, Johnny gets his knee’s up. Chris grabs his stomach and pulls himself up in the corner. Johnny is up and runs at Chris, who moves and Johnny runs right into the exposed Turn Buckle. Johnny staggers out of the corner, Chris grabs him and gives him the Straight to Hell and hooks the leg. 1.…..2.…..3.

Winner: Chris Cyrus

Chase: Chris Cyrus goes into Test for the Best in good shape as he defends the Xtreme Title against Assassin.

Harvey: I’m interested to see how that will work out as Chris Cyrus doesn’t want to do down the Hardcore Route anymore

Chase: Hold on a second, Chris Cyrus has a mic

Chris: Johnny, I told you I could hurt you without Weapons, and Assassin, I hope your watching because I’m about you show you that I wasn’t lying!

Chris drops the mic and locks in the crippler crossface. Johnny screams in pain as the bell is ringing.

Chase: This is uncalled for. He already won the match.

Harvey: He’s trying to tare out Johnny’s shoulder.

The fans are booing, the bell is ringing and Chris Cyrus isn’t letting go. Just then the fans cheer as Assassin runs down the aisle and Chris see’s him and gets out of the ring as Assassin slides in. Chris and Assassin stare down as we go to commercial.

[President Jeff]

A video appears on the big screen. It's dusk at the Mexico-United States border, and Biggs is clad in a red, white, and blue windbreaker over his wrestling gear. The crowd's boos from the arena can be heard loudly. He's standing on the Mexican side of the fence. There are border patrol agents on the other side of the fence.

Biggs: I am standing here at the Mexican-American border, doing my part to help with the security of Mexico from illegal immigrants.

The crowd boos even louder as a smirk flashes across Biggs' face.

Biggs: You see, everyday, countless people attempt to dodge border security the same way Shadow has been dodging my challenge! Shadow, I can understand why you're hesitant to fight me, considering the huge roll I've been on lately, but the fact remains that you are avoiding me just like many immigrants avoid doing things the legal way!

Border Patrol Worker: Hey, what are you doing over there?

Biggs: I'm helping you guys by patrolling the Mexican side of the border!

Border Patrol Worker: Y'know that that's not really necessary. I mean, we don't really get anybody sneaking into Mexico!

Biggs: I was thinking that this job was way too easy. Since I'm not really needed, I can go now, right?

Border Patrol Worker: Yeah, go for it.

Biggs: Thanks for the heads up!

Biggs waves to the Border Patrolman before turning back to the camera and speaking.

Biggs: So Shadow, you're lucky that you're already booked for a match this week, because otherwise, I'd be taking you out, and I don't mean for a steak dinner! Watching this side of the border is harder than it will be for me to beat you when we finally meet! Well, I'm going to hop onto my private jet and make my way down to the arena!

As Biggs heads off camera, a sneaky looking man crawls under the fence and makes his way into Mexico and we go back to the arena for the next match

John Green vs. Carl Cruz

The bell sounds as both wrestlers stare at each other from opposite sides of the ring. Both men go at each other locking up in the center and holding each other in a test of strength, neither man backing down or giving an inch. Finally the bigger man in John Green pushes Carl into the corner forcing the referee to separate the two of them, John backs off only to receive a punch to the gut from Carl and then a punch upside the head. Carl continues this strategy by punching his opponent and punching him until finally he is backed into another corner, the referree has began counting to break them up which Carl does at 4 and then taunts the fans, who gives him a large sign of their dissatisfaction through the boos. Carl goes at Green running forward ready to dig his shoulder into Green's stomach, but John side steps. Carl catches himself before he goes tumbling into the steal pole and turns around to receive a heavy hit to the face from John Green. John pulls Carl out of the corner and wails on him with strong lefts until finally Cruz catches John's fist in mid punch and drags him towards him for a belly to belly suplex. Carl gets up first shortly after John gets up as well and both men run at each other colliding in the middle of the ring at the same time. Both men fall to the mat and the ref makes sure if both of them are still conscious and begins to count.

Carl and John get up about the same time and look at each other with looks of anger, Carl and John lock up one more time in the center as anxiety fills the fans. John once again gains the advantage over the smaller Carl and pushes him into the ropes, Carl hits the other side and John who is still looking to hit him is caught by surprise by a crossbody from Carl. Carl goes for the pin quickly.

John powers out and gets to his feet quickly and as Carl comes running at him delivers a Spine Buster. John sees his opening with Carl right in the middle of the ring and forces the Tap Out on him with authority. Carl screams in pain as John holds on tightly putting as much pressure as he possibly can on him. Carl begins to crawl towards the bottom rope and reaches it, forcing John to break the hold and relinquish the advantage he had. John waits for Carl to get up and once he does he begins to try to use the Head Splitter, but Carl counters by spinning out and delivering a neck breaker to John who falls on his back. Carl takes advantage of that and puts his opponent into the Ego Sensation and holds it as John screams in pain. John reaches for the bottom rope but Carl pulls him away from the ropes all the while he is yelling at John to tap. John uses all the strength in him to reach the bottom rope and succeeds on his second attempt. Carl turns around to look at his opponent and begins to stomp on him with authority. Carl signals for the end and goes to the top turn buckle, but as he is preparing for the Ego Flip, John grabs him off the top turn buckle and delivers a superplex that the crowd all stands up and applauds for. John goes for the pin.

Green Celebrates as we go to commercial

His face is contorted with frustration; as he takes a tug at the wheel of his chair. At first he isn’t sure where he’s going. On multiple occasions he decided he was going to leave and back out, he shouldn’t be here today. With nut cases like ‘’Death Wish’’ running around the back halls; and guys like Jesse Nunez who try beat up on the disabled, it wasn’t the safest environment for him to be here. Still, it wasn’t a surprise to anyone that he was here.

A warrior…
A champion…

He was everything you aspired to be; and hate yourself because you aren’t. Even though he was injured; barely able to stand with the help of the crutches the APW staff had him try a few minutes before arriving, he showed up. Even though it was recommended by doctors that he stay home, forget about the match, and heal properly; he showed up. Even though his body burnt internally; and the fires danced in the pit of his belly, he showed up…

…A legend.

Yet when he strolled up past Max Carter’s office; it had caught his eyes, grabbing his attention and never letting go. He knew how much trouble he could possibly be in tonight, having to wrestle a match when physically he has been deemed unfit. He contemplated strolling on by, not having to take the easy way out, but at this point the easy way seemed like the only way. He pushed the door open, and strolled inside Max Carter’s office.

Max Carter sat at his desk with his arms hunched over the table top. ‘’What are you doing here?’’ Max Carter asks; but it sounded more like a demand than a question.

‘’Look, I don’t know if you believe me or not, but I am injured. I can’t wrestle tonight, you are seriously going to make me go out there tonight a week before my title match?’’ Level-One asked his voice kicking up in octaves.

‘’Pence Weatherlight was attacked three weeks ago…’’ Max Carter points out glaring at Level-One. ‘’And I don’t care about what you have to say; I have enough evidence to believe you were behind it. You are the only one who can benefit from Pence Weatherlight being injured’’

‘’Bullshit’’ Level-One retorts. ‘’Last week Mr. Strange came running into the ring nailing Shadow and Pence Weatherlight in the face with a goddamn steel chair! I don’t know about you, but it’s quite obvious my tag team partner for the night is up to something’’

Max Carter looks up to Level-One, before breaking out a helpless sigh. ‘’I am sorry, but there is nothing I can do. The match is made, and it must happen’’

Level-One looks to Max Carter; never taking his eyes off of him, Level-One wheels up to his desk, leaning forward towards Max Carter. A single bead of sweat runs down the face of Max Carter whom quickly wipes it away with the sleeve of his shirt, even Level-One in a wheel chair was a viable threat, especially since he wasn’t buying what Level-One had been selling.

‘’No, see there is something you can do…’’ Level-One says, his face lighting up with hope, he had a brilliant option, a hail merry of sorts, one desperate throw to save himself the game. ‘’You can make this tag match a handicap match…’’

Max Carter laughs. ‘’I guess it technically is a hand cap match…’’ Max Carter taps Level-One playfully on his shoulder, before pointing out the wheel chair Level-One had been seated in. Receiving a death glare from the grizzled Canadian, Max Carters smile fades, and his eyes are drawn towards a stack of scattered papers that lie on his office desk.

‘’You think this is a joke, Max?’’ Level-One asks.

Max Carter is quick to follow up on his words, stumbling over the syllables as he issues them. ‘’N-no-no, continue’’

‘’You take me out of this match, and you allow Mr. Strange to take on both Pence Weatherlight and Shadow tonight. It was he who nailed them with steel chairs; and I can’t imagine them wanting anything to do with me. This is right and just, Max’’ Level-One lays the issues out onto the table. It seemed like a lifetime before Max Carter offered back his reply.

‘’No, you go out there and prove why you’re the number 1 contender…’’ Max Carter says, sticking to his guns; even as he closes his eyes expecting a clench fist from Level-One, but none came, as Max Carter lifted his head; looking Level-One right in his eyes, which nearly broke his soul.

‘’The blood is going to be on your hands, Max. I hope your ratings fix are enough to clean the guts, and grime off of it. I thought there was something in you, I thought you were more than just a business man, more than just a bred earner; but that’s all you are’’

‘’Get out of my…’’

‘’Shut up’’ Level-One interrupts. ‘’You can go to hell, and take your damn show with you. I will win that APW world championship Max; and you’ll soon find the power that I will hold around here once again’’ Level-One runs his thumb across his throat; before pushing his wheel chair back in reverse, never taking his eyes off the overdrive general manager...

We fade out abruptly, we are the safest this way.


President Jeff stands in the hall sipping a cup of coffee looking over a few papers. He nods in approval and hands them back to one of his assistants.

Jeff: They look good, get over to the lawyers and they'll know what to do

Jeff then walks off down the hall. He comes to his office and pauses briefly. He then begins sniffing around as if he smells something. He holds the coffee to his nose, and realizes it's not his cup of joe and then looks toward the bottom of his office door. Smoke seems to be billowing out from underneath it. Although this is not your average "there is a fire" smoke, no this is the smoke of some purple crush, blow your mind to retardation weed. Only one person can smoke that kind of weed and still stand, well maybe two if you count Kid Cannabis, but how can you make a retard any more retarded. Back to the point Jeff has a serious thought of who this Death Wish is, and why he holds a grudge. The man then grabs his cell phone quickly dialing Streets Wilson.

Jeff: Streets...he is in my office. NO...I will not wait...I'm going in to confront him. The games are over. Doctor Phate, Kenny Lambardo, I know it's him...and he's going to pay right here, and right now

He then throws his coffee and cell phone asides rolling up his sleeves.

Jeff: You want a War...I'll give you a WAR!!!"

Jeff kicks the office door open. He then begins coughing from the room being all hot boxed. There at his desk is a Singapore cane leaning against it, a joint burning in the ash tray, and the Sons of Carthage leather jacket draped over Jeff's expensive office chair. President Jeff looks frustrated as he throws the jacket off his chair. He then plops down in his seat. Underneath a file on his desk is the skull mask. Jeff grabs the mask with fury in his eyes. He glares at it's empty eye holes as if looking at the man underneath it earlier. There is a defiant hate between Jeff and Death Wish, and the masked mans games seem to be getting under the presidents skin. The file it was under falls on the ground as it's contents spill out for all to see. The profile is that of none other the Career Killer Trevor Blackwell.

The commotion of Streets Wilson and a few other hired body guards arrive on scene.

Security: Did you get him

President Jeff shakes his head no as he picks up the profile of Trevor Blackwell. He tosses the mask to Streets.

Jeff: He's running around here without his mask, but I think that’s what he wanted.

Both men sit in silence for a second as Jeff's frustration then boils over.

Jeff: GO FIND HIM, I can't have him in the arena, or on camera...GO!!!"

Streets then gives an order to the rest of the security team and leave Jeff in his office alone and we go back to the ring

Harvey: Jeff is flipping out now.

Chase: The mind games that is being played, Hell is going to break loose.

Harvey: Lets go to the ring for our next match

Jason Royce Vs Assassin

Nicky Paige: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!

The arena lights dim as "Down Again," by Chamaira, begins to play over the PA as the song continues to play the arena lights start flashing off and on before finally flashing on as we see Assassin walk down the ramp. The fans cheer him as he makes his way towards the ring.

Nicky Paige: Making his way to the ring, from Dallas, Texas, weighing in at 265 pounds, Assassin!

Assassin reaches the bottom of the ramp as he walk around the ring shaking hands with several of the fans before finally jumping on the apron as he steps into the ring. Assassin enters the ring and walks towards the other side of the ring folding his arms over his chest as his music comes to an end.

Harvey: Assassin hopes to gain some momentum tonight heading into his APW Extreme Championship match with Chris Cyrus at Test for the Best!

Papa Roach's “Scars” hits the speakers as Jason Royce comes out through the curtains to a mixed reaction and poses as pyro goes off and the lights flash like camera flashes are going off and he flexes then heads to the ring.

Nicky Paige: And his opponent, from Chicago, Illinois, weighing in at 222 pounds, “The Iceman” Jason Royce!

Chase: Royce is trying to get some momentum heading into Test for the Best himself, as he is entered in the Eight Man Tournament to determine the #1 Contender for the APW Heavyweight Championship! You can bet Royce wants another shot at the belt after Mayhem!

Harvey: Don't forget, he didn't even get a chance to fight last week, as Death Wish took him out before the match could even begin!

Royce reaches the ring, and the ref calls for the bell. DING! DING! DING!

Assassin vs. The Iceman Jason Royce

Assassin and Jason Royce tie up in the middle of the ring! Assassin gets the advantage and lifts Royce up for a Belly-to-Belly Suplex! Assassin goes to pull Royce back up, but on the way up, Royce gives him a Punch to the gut, and then once he's up, delivers a Spinning Backhand Punch to the chin of Assassin! As Assassin stumbles back, Jason Royce gives him a Running Dropkick that sends Assassin down to the mat!
Jason Royce follows up by grabbing a hold of Assassin's arm and bending it back into a Key Lock! Assassin pounds the mat with his fist before dragging himself and Royce over to the ropes to get the rope break! Royce releases the hold and gets to his feet, stalking Assassin. As Assassin gets up, Jason Royce goes for a Spinning Kick, but Assassin ducks under, and goes in to drill Royce with an STO! Assassin goes for a pin, 1...Royce kicks out!

Harvey: We've seen a fast paced match thus far, and neither man shows any signs of slowing down anytime soon!

Assassin pulls Royce up and whips him into the ropes, delivering a ring shaking Powerslam! Assassin goes for another cover, 1...2...Royce kicks out! Assassin gives Jason Royce a few punches to the side of the head before pulling him back up and hooking Royce's head in a DDT position. The Iceman counters by wriggling out and twisting Assassin's arm into a Hammerlock, and follows up by ramming Assassin chest first into the nearest turnbuckle, causing Assassin to fall down to the mat! Royce pulls him back up and whips him into the opposite turnbuckle, hitting with a Charging Body Splash! Royce then hangs Assassin up in the Tree of Woe, and delivers another Running Dropkick to the face of his hanged up opponent! Royce then yanks Assassin's legs out of the turnbuckle, sending Assassin crumbling to the mat. Royce goes up to the top rope and leaps off for a 450 Splash, but Assassin rolls out of the way just in the nick of time!

Chase: Had Jason Royce hit with that, this match would have been over!

As both men slowly get to their feet, the ref begins the 10 count. Assassin is the first up to his feet at 7, and he goes over to pull Royce up by the hair. Assassin then hoists Jason Royce up in a Powerbomb position, but as he has Royce lifted up, The Iceman delivers punch after punch to the face of Assassin, allowing him to slip out and fall to his feet! The Iceman Jason Royce then lifts Assassin up for the GTS, but as he's up, Assassin gives Royce a few elbows to the side of the head, forcing Royce to let him down! Assassin then gives Royce a kick to the gut, and hooks him up in the Double Underhook position to deliver the Chaos Theory! Assassin goes for the cover

The ref is pulled out of the ring by Chris Cyrus and gets punched out.

Harvey: Why is Chris Cyrus out here.

Chris is in the ring with Xtreme title in hand. Assassin gets up, not sure why the ref didn’t count the 3. Assassin turns and is met with a face full of Xtreme Title. Chris gets on top of Assassin and punches his head and blood is oozing out.

Chase: Cyrus is sending a message to Assassin

Chris gets up, grabs his title and stands over Assassin.

Harvey: These two meet at Test for the Best and I can rest a sure, Assassin isn’t going to let Chris Cyrus get away with this.

Chris Cyrus continues to pose

Winner: No Contest

As APW is about to go to commercial break, Biggs is seen entering the arena. Loud boos echo throughout the arena.

Chase: Biggs has been on a roll as of late heading into Test for the Best!

Harvey: When we come back, it'll be Streets Wilson taking on Biggs in one-on-one action!

APW goes to a commercial break.

Overdrive comes back on the air and backstage you see Johnny Hardcore heading towards the exit doors with Max Carter chasing after him

Max: What do you mean your not in the Test for the Best tournament anymore?

Johnny: I sold my spot.

Max: You sold your spot? How the hell do you sell your spot in a tournament

Johnny exit’s the arena.

Max: Great, just great.

Max turns around and standing behind him with a smirk on his face is Carl Cruz

Max: You Didn’t.

Carl: Everyone has a price Max. And Johnny, actually, wasn’t that much.

Max: You may have bought your way into the tournament, but your not going to buy your way to the finals, that’s for damn sure.

Carl: I won’t need to, because I’m winning this tournament and going to Shockwave

Max: We’ll see.

Max walks away as we go to ringside

Chase: I can’t believe Carl Cruz bought Johnny Hardcore’s spot in the Test for the Best tournament.

Harvey: Its going to be interesting to see how far Carl makes it in the tournament.

Chase: Lets go to our next match


Nicky Paige: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!

“Spaceman,” by The Killers, hits the speakers as the arena lights fade to a dim blue! Strobe lights flash about the arena as blue spotlights twirl around and blue laser lights shoot from the stage. Biggs enters the arena to a deafening chorus of boos from the crowd!

Nicky Paige: Making his way to ring, from Seattle, Washington, weighing in at 217 pounds, Biggs!

Harvey: Biggs is the self-proclaimed most hated wrestler in all of Mexico, and for once, I got to agree with him! Biggs has been doing everything in his power to draw the ire of these fans, and I must say that he's been successful at it!

Chase: Biggs has only been telling the truth! And hey, he's been doing them a service by speaking to them in their native tongue! Have any of our other wrestlers done this? Nope!

The fans are throwing garbage at Biggs as he makes his way down the aisle. Biggs takes it in stride, dodging the pelted trash, flashing his trademark smirk. Biggs reaches the ring, goes up the steps and slingshots himself over the ropes into the ring. Biggs hops up onto the turnbuckle, and raises both arms up, signaling that he's “#1” with both hands before popping down and grabbing a mic.

Biggs tosses down the mic as the Wu Tang Clan's “Hellz Wind Staff” hits the PA, and Streets Wilson emerges from the curtain smiling widely, twirling a switchblade in his hand. Parents are comforting their children as Streets makes his way down the ramp.

Nicky Paige: And his opponent, from Stamford, Connecticut, weighting in at 267 pounds, Streets Wilson!

Harvey: Streets Wilson is one of the competitors entered in the Test for the Best Tournament, and you've got to think he's got to be one of the favorites!

Chase: Well, actually, everyone in the tournament can conceivably win! This is shaping up to be one of the most competitive Test for the Best tourneys we've ever had!

Streets pompously struts past the screaming fans. As he steps into the ring, he forms an “S” shape with his hands towards the crowd, and then removes his trademark fedora, placing his blade in the hat and places the hat in the corner. Streets still has the sleazy smile across his face as the ref calls for the bell. DING! DING! DING!

Streets Wilson vs. Biggs

Biggs rushes towards Streets, but Streets takes him down with a Spinning Back Fist! Streets pulls Biggs back up and takes him down with a Short Arm Clothesline! As Biggs gets back up, Streets unloads with the Fury of the Streets combination, nailing Biggs with a series of quick and powerful blows to the body before delivering a knife edge chop across to the esophagus of Biggs! Biggs is coughing as Streets whips him into the ropes and nails him with a huge Powerslam! Streets goes for a cover, but Biggs kicks out before one! The crowd is behind Streets, albeit reluctantly, as he continues the attack on Biggs, giving Biggs several stomps to the chest before going for a Standing Moonsault Knee-Drop! Biggs rolls out of the way just in the nick of time, and quickly gets to his feet to give Streets a kick to the back of the head! As Streets is still on his knees, Biggs runs to the ropes and on the rebound, nails Streets Wilson with a Shining Wizard! Biggs goes for a quick cover, but Streets powers his way out before the ref counts one! Both men get to their feet, and Biggs gives Streets a couple of Kicks to the Calf before grabbing a hold of Streets' leg to pull off a Dragon Screw! Biggs immediately locks in a Grapevine Leg Lock to continue to work the leg of Streets Wilson! After a few moments, Biggs releases the hold and starts to stomp the knee of Streets! The crowd boos venomously as Biggs grabs a hold of Streets' leg, and gives him several more kicks to the calf!

Chase: Biggs is trying to ground the taller competitor, which is a great strategy when you're the smaller man in the match!

Streets kicks Biggs off with his other leg, sending Biggs flopping back to the mat! Streets has a slight limp as he gets to his feet, and gives Biggs a quick kick with his bad leg, sending Biggs crashing back first into the corner! Streets rubs his leg a bit before pulling Biggs out of the corner and locking in a Hammerlock, hoisting him up to deliver a Hammerlock Bodyslam! Streets then grabs Biggs' wrist and stomps on his opponent's elbow joint! Streets then follows up by locking in a Cross Armbreaker!

Harvey: Biggs is focusing on Streets' leg, while Streets is focusing on Biggs' arm! Both men are trying to put one of their opponent's limbs out of commission! Which will be more effective?

Biggs grits his teeth in pain Streets torques the arm! The fans are cheering loudly for Streets causing so much pain to Biggs! Streets sees that Biggs is showing no sign of giving up, so he releases the hold and pulls Biggs up to his feet! Streets whips Biggs towards the ropes, but rather than rebounding, Biggs jumps onto the center rope, flips back and grabs a hold of Streets' head to hit with a Springboard Flipping Reverse DDT! The fans start chanting “Biggs chupada! Biggs chupada!” which translates to “Biggs sucks!” as the arrogant superstar motions for Streets to get up! As Streets gets to his feet, Biggs gets a running start, and nails him in the face with a Running Knee Lift! Streets gets turned around by the impact, and Biggs grabs a hold of his head, runs up the ropes and flips back to hit with the Bigg Time! The crowd is enraged as Biggs jukes and jives a bit on his way to the top rope! Biggs arrogantly blows kisses to the crowd before leaping off for a UFO Frog Splash, but his taunting costs him, as Streets rolls out of the way!

Harvey: Serves Biggs right for getting cocky! I hope Streets can take him to the woodshed!

Chase: Not a good crash and burn for Biggs there! Streets is the kind of competitor who always capitalizes on the mistakes of his opponents!

As Biggs rolls around on the mat in pain, Streets gets to his feet! He's standing in a martial arts stance waiting for Biggs to get up. As Biggs slowly gets to his feet, Streets winds up for a Spinning Kick, but Biggs ducks under, and grabs Streets in a Urinagi position! Streets elbows his way out and hooks Biggs into a DDT position! As Biggs wriggles about, he gives Streets a kick to the bad knee, forcing Streets to release the hold! Biggs quickly steps in, hooking the Urinagi position again and hits The Starmaker! Biggs hooks the far leg, 1...2...3! DING! DING! DING!

Winner: Biggs

Chase: Woohoo! Biggs is victorious again tonight! This can only help Biggs heading into Test for the Best!

Harvey: As much as I can't stand him, I got to admit that after tonight's victory, Biggs further establishes himself as a threat in the tournament! However, you can't discount Streets Wilson, either, as Biggs had to exploit an injury to secure victory tonight!

“Spaceman” is blaring as the crowd spews insults and throws garbage towards Biggs! Biggs just laughs, and soaks in his victory and signals for a mic

Biggs: What I did to Streets Wilson is a preview of what’s to come at Test for the Best. One way or another, I’m winning the tournament this year and going to Shockwave…

Just then, Basic Thuganomics hit’s the PA and Jesse Nunez comes out and goes down to the ring and takes the mic from Biggs.

Jesse: You can talk all you want about winning this tournament, but there’s one man who has been flying under the radar and that’s me. I was the world Champion in what was once the greatest federation in the world, EWC and if anyone is winning this tournament, its me.

On that cue, this sends out Jason Royce. Royce comes down to the ring with the fans booing him and Royce gets in and takes the mic

Jason: Listen, I don’t care what you guys have to say because everyone know’s I’m winning the Test for the Best Tournament

And Biggs takes Jason down with a right hand and Jesse comes in on the attack. Just then Slade Craven, John Green and Carl Cruz all rush the ring and a brawl has broke out.

Chase: A preview to the Test for the Best tournament.

Harvey: There’s only 7 men in there. Who’s the 8th mystery competitor.

Just then the PA Blares with unfamiliar music

Harvey: The mystery guy?

Fans look at the entrance way waiting to see who is about to come out. The wrestlers in the ring look as well. The anticipation builds and a the lights go out and a shadow figure comes onto the stage. The lights come on and the mystery man has his back turns. And Slowly, then man turns around and smiles and the fans cheer its













Chase: JOEY ORSOME!

Harvey: JOEY ORSOME IS BACK AND IN APW!

Joey rushes down to the ring and slides in under the bottom rope. Royce charges at him and Joey tosses him over the top rope. Streets then runs at him and Orsome pulls down the ropes and Streets goes tumbling over. Carl Cruz runs at him and Orsome Spears him. Orsome is then cut off by Biggs.

Chase: Orsome was looking impressive till Biggs cut him off.

Harvey: Orsome was a big star in EWC at one point of his career.

Biggs punches Orsome and goes to throw Orsome into the ropes, but Orsome counters and Joey gets Biggs in a butterfly suplex and elevates him full vertical, Joey then drives the opponent down onto the back of his neck

Chase: He calls that the Impact Factor

Biggs rolls out of the ring and Both Green and Slade begin pounding on Orsome. They both throw Orsome into the ropes and Orsome comes back, countering with a Double DDT. Green and Slade get up and fall into the ropes where Orsome runs and clotheslines them both over and to the floor. Orsome celebrates as his music begins to play.

Harvey: Could Orsome win the Test for the Best tournament?

Chase: It would be a great way to make an impact. Win the tournament in your first night as a wrestler and then guarantee yourself a world title shot at Shockwave.

Chase: Its Main Event Time


Nicky Paige: The following contest is a tag match scheduled for one fall, and is the APW Overdrive Main Event!

Rammstein's “Feuer Frei” hits the speakers as Mr. Strange enters the arena to loud boos from the crowd. He makes his way down to the ring, paying no attention to the crowd at all.

Nicky Paige: Making his way to the ring, from parts unknown, weighing in at 175 pounds, Mr. Strange!

Chase: I was very impressed by the performance this man put on last week facing Pence in the main event! I wouldn't mind seeing Mr. Strange in the main event more often!

Harvey: I most certainly would! The only reason Mr. Strange fought in the main event last week was because he interrupted the prior week's main event!

The crowd boos even louder as Lupe Fiasco's “Get in the Game” hits the speakers and Level-One emerges from the back on crutches. He slowly makes his way down the ramp with a scowl across his face.

Nicky Paige: And his partner, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, weighing in at 273 pounds, he is the former APW Heavyweight Champion, Level-One!

Harvey: Well, I think it's probably safe to say that Mr. Strange will be carrying a majority of the workload for his team tonight as he is paired with the injured number one contender for Pence's APW Heavyweight Championship!

Chase: It's a travesty that Level-One is forced to compete tonight with his injuries! The fight doctor even said that Level-One should not compete until Test for the Best!

Harvey: Well, we all saw the stunt Level-One pulled last week, and I think it serves him right to have to compete again here tonight!

Level-One reaches the ring steps and takes them one at a time, not even bothering to enter the ring, but just standing in his teams corner, propping himself up on the turnbuckle pad. Level-One doesn't even acknowledge Mr. Strange's presence, instead looking up towards the ramp while grimacing in pain.

Chase: It's going to be interesting to see how Mr. Strange and Level-One will work together tonight!

Strobe lights begin to flash as Rob Zombie's “Never Gonna Stop” plays as Shadow steps from behind the curtain to be greeted by loud cheers from the fans. He has the Overdrive Championship slung over his shoulder.

Nicky Paige: And their opponents, first, from Dallas, Texas, weighing in tonight at 295 pounds, he is the APW Overdrive Champion, Shadow!

Chase: Tonight, Shadow's teaming with Pence, whom he got a DQ victory over a couple of weeks ago! How will that effect their chemistry as a team tonight?

Harvey: Well, both Shadow and Pence are professionals, so I think they'll do just fine teaming tonight!

Shadow makes his way down the ramp, slapping hands with the fans and stopping at the bottom of the ramp, awaiting the entrance of his partner. The lights start flicker red, white, and blue, the fans erupt in to chants and then the lights die out and then static appears on the screen in front of the entrance ramp. Miniature explosions explode all over the screen and then the lights start flashing red, white, and blue again as "Come to Life" by Alterbridge starts playing.

Nicky Paige: And his partner, from Hershey, Pennsylvania, weighing in at 250 pounds, he is the APW Heavyweight Champion of the World, Pence Weatherlight!

The fans start chanting as Pence emerges on the ramp! Pence is clutching his ribs and has his APW Championship clasped around his waist. A spot light shines down on him as he walks down to the ring. When he gets to the foot of the ramp, he takes off his vest and throws it into the crowd. He gives Shadow a high five, and the two enter the ring at the same time! Mr. Strange bails out of the ring while Level-One stays slumped over the turnbuckle, while Pence and Shadow go to opposite turnbuckles and strike their signature poses. The fans are chanting “Technicos! Technicos!” at the top of their lungs as Pence smiles. Mr. Strange slithers back into the ring as Pence and Shadow hand their belts to the ref. Pence goes to his teams corner as the ref hands the belts out of the ring and calls for the bell, DING! DING! DING!

Pence Weatherlight and Shadow vs. Level-One and Mr. Strange

Harvey: And this match is underway! It looks like we'll be getting a preview of this Sunday's Overdrive Title match from the get go as Mr. Strange and Shadow are starting out for their respective teams!

Shadow goes in to tie up with Mr. Strange, but Strange responds by rolling beneath his grasp and ends up behind Shadow, delivering multiple Kicks to the calf of Shadow in rapid succession! After a few kicks, Mr. Strange reaches up to grab Shadow in a Sleeper Hold, but Shadow wraps his arm around Mr. Strange's head and Snapmares him over into a seated position! Shadow yanks Mr. Strange back up to his feet, and lifts him up into a Gorilla Press position, but before he can do anything, Mr. Strange wriggles out and rolls behind him with a Sunset Flip pin,

Shadow kicks out! As Shadow gets to his feet, Strange runs to the ropes and rebounds, nailing Shadow right in the face with a Bakatare Sliding Kick right as Shadow is up! Shadow falls to the mat, rolling onto his belly, which allows Mr. Strange to try and go for the Dragon Clutch! Strange gets an arm around the head of Shadow, but can't get control of Shadow's arm, who pushes himself up and gets to his feet, and falls back first, smashing Mr. Strange into the mat!

Harvey: Can you believe the strength of Shadow, pressing his way out of the Dragon Clutch!

Chase: Well, he does outweigh Mr. Strange by 120 pounds, so it's not really that surprising! Still, kudos to Mr. Strange for having the guts to fight what is essentially a handicap match!

In the ring, Shadow yanks Mr. Strange up to a standing position, and whips him towards the ropes! Mr. Strange rebounds and as he's running back, he ducks the Big Boot from Shadow and slides out of the ring on under the opposite ropes! The fans boo Mr. Strange loudly for his tactics!

Harvey: We saw Mr. Strange do this last week when he lost control of the match with Pence, and while I don't like it, it is the smart move for him at this junction!

Mr. Strange tilts his head slightly, looking in Shadow's direction. The ref starts the 10 count, and Shadow walks towards the ropes, reaching over them to try and grab Strange by the head! Mr. Strange counters by popping up onto the apron, grabbing Shadow's head, and jumping down to the floor, jamming Shadow's neck right into the ropes! The fans boo in disgust as Mr. Strange gets up onto the apron and goes for the Ace of Spades! As he wraps his legs around Shadow's neck for the Frankensteiner portion of the move, Shadow counters with a thunderous Powerbomb! Shadow goes to one knee and rubs his throat as Mr. Strange is laid out on the mat.

Chase: Mr. Strange tried to end this one quickly, which probably is the best strategy for him, as Pence and Shadow can make fresh tags!

Harvey: C'mon, you're acting like Mr. Strange is a good guy that's getting screwed here! Don't you forget that he brought this upon himself for interfering in the main event a couple of weeks ago! Also, Level-One isn't the only one injured, as Pence has severely bruised ribs at least, if not flat out broken! And on the topic of Level-One's injuries, I don't think they're as serious as he makes them out to be after what he pulled with Nunez last week!

Chase: Have some sympathy for the man, for crying out loud! Level-One is a warrior for even being out here tonight!

Shadow tags in Pence, and the crowd roars with approval as Pence immediately goes to work on Mr. Strange, stomping the weird competitor a few times before pulling him up and delivering a Russian Leg Sweep! Mr. Strange tries to protect his face as the APW Champion mounts him and starts going to town with rights and lefts targeting Mr. Strange's masked face! Mr. Strange somehow manages to wriggle his way out of the predicament by slithering through Pence's legs, and gets up to nail Pence with a stiff Kick to the back of the head! As Pence holds the back of his head, Mr. Strange scurries over to his corner and tags Level-One in! Level-One curses at Strange as he gingerly steps between the ropes. Pence has gotten to his feet by this point, and he and Level-One begin to stare each other down! The crowd is going wild at this point, as both men just glare at each other!

Harvey: This is what the fans want to see, injured or not, Pence and Level-One facing off before their title match at Test for the Best!

Chase: You could cut the tension with a knife! These people want to see these two go at it!

The stare down goes for about a minute before Level-One turns back and nonchalantly tags Mr. Strange back in, eliciting loud boos from the crowd! Pence rushes Mr. Strange and smashes him into the corner! Pence then turns to Level-One and punches him on the face, knocking him off the apron and to the floor! Level-One clutches his leg as he lays outside the ring, cursing at the top of his lungs! As Pence and the ref have their attention turned towards Level-One, Mr. Strange quickly gets behind Pence and gives him a Forearm Smash Low Blow from behind! The ref doesn't see it at all, and turns around to see Mr. Strange deliver a few stomps followed by a Short Dropkick to the midsection of Pence! Mr. Strange goes for a cover, but doesn't even get a one count! As he pulls Pence up, he whips Pence towards the ropes, but Pence counters, sending Strange to the ropes instead! On the rebound, Pence hoists Strange up into a Gorilla Press Slam, and walks towards Strange's corner, tossing him over the ropes and onto Level-One! The fans cheer loudly as Pence stands in the ring, smiling!

Harvey: Pence and Shadow are on a roll! Will they continue with this momentum, we'll find out after our final commercial break of the evening!

APW comes back from commercial with Pence and Mr. Strange in the ring. Mr.Strange has a Sleeper Hold on Pence, who is seated in the center of the ring! Level-One is back in his corner, but looks to be in tremendous pain while Shadow leads the crowd in cheering Pence on!

Harvey: Folks, welcome back to APW Overdrive! We apologize for that commercial break, but it is the last of the evening! During the break, Pence was mostly in control until Level-One got back upon the apron, and distracted Pence, allowing Strange to hit with the Gamengiri!

Chase: I got to say that Mr. Strange has really impressed me once again tonight!

Harvey: I've got to give the devil his due, he's been hanging with the champ thus far, but only because he's used some shortcuts along the way!

Pence appears to be fading as Mr. Strange has the Sleeper Hold in deep! Pence's arms eventually fall to his side, prompting the ref to check for the mandatory three count! The ref raises Pence's arm once, it falls back down limply!
“1!” The fans cheers grow even louder, trying to will Pence on, but again on the second arm check, his arm falls limply to his side once more! “2!”

Chase: We could be seeing the upset of the century here if Pence's arm goes down for a third time!

Harvey: You could be right!

The ref pulls Pence's arm up once more, and let's go, but this time, it stays up! The fans are going wild as Pence is able to will his way to a vertical base, while Strange maintains the hold. Once to their feet, Pence gives Mr. Strange a few elbows to the gut, and shoves him off straight into the ropes! On the rebound, Pence hoists Mr. Strange up for the Battle Testimony! Pence goes for a cover,

Chase: Mr. Strange kicked out of the Battle Testimony!

Harvey: I don't believe it! I don't want to believe it!

Pence can't believe it either, and pulls Mr. Strange back up, dragging him to Pence's corner and tagging in Shadow! The fans cheer loudly as Pence sits Mr. Strange up on the top turnbuckle, and both Pence and Shadow go up to the top rope, and deliver a Double Superplex on Mr. Strange! Level-One pounds his fist on the turnbuckle in frustration as Shadow reaches down to pull Mr. Strange up to his feet! Shadow whips Mr. Strange into the ropes, and lifts the strange one up into a Bear Hug! As he has the hug on tight, Mr. Strange boxes the ears of Shadow, and whips him into Strange and Level-One's corner! As Mr. Strange distracts the ref, Level-One takes the tag rope and chokes Shadow with it! The fans are booing loudly as Mr. Strange continues to distract the ref, allowing Level-One to keep on choking Shadow! Pence is trying to tell the ref about the funny business, and as the ref turns around, Level-One releases the choke before he is caught! The ref turns back towards Shadow, who's telling the ref that his mask is loose, and that he needs to adjust it, allowing Level-One to get back to the choke! Pence steps into the ring to try and tell the ref about the foul play, but all that does is draw the ref over try and hold back Pence! The allows Mr. Strange to head over to his corner and kick Shadow in the gut repeatedly as Level-One maintains the choke! Once Pence steps out of the ring, the ref turns back towards the action, catching Level-One and Mr. Strange in the act of cheating, and begins the 5 count! Level-One lets go of the choke on four, and Mr. Strange steps back. Shadow falls down to a seated position in the corner, his face a beet red after having been choked for the better part of a minute and a half! Mr. Strange gets a running start, and hits with a Dropkick in the corner! He drags Shadow away from the ropes,

Shadow kicks out again! Level-One quickly tags Mr. Strange in again, who mounts the top turnbuckle, leaping off for a Double Knee Drop, which Shadow rolls out of the way of! The fans are going wild as Shadow drags himself to his corner, and tags in Pence! Mr. Strange is to his feet as Pence comes charging in, nailing Mr. Strange with a Clothesline! As Mr. Strange gets back up, Pence gives him a German Suplex! As Strange is on the ground, Pence grabs a hold of his legs, trying to go for the Boston Crab! Mr. Strange resists the attempt, though, and wriggles one of this feet free, kicking Pence right in the sternum to break the attempted hold! Mr. Strange gets back up only to be greeted with a Belly-to-Belly Release Suplex from Pence! Both men get back up to their feet, and again, Mr. Strange scurries out of the ring and to the floor! The crowd boos as Pence motions for Strange to get back into the ring!

Harvey: Mr. Strange is fighting a very cowardly match, taking every shortcut he can, and sliding out of the ring every time he loses the advantage! It makes me sick to my stomach!

Chase: Mr. Strange is fighting a smart match, not a cowardly match! I'd like to see you try to take on two athletes the caliber of Pence and Shadow with a severely injured man for a partner!

Level-One is removing the top turnbuckle cover in his corner as Mr. Strange camps out on the arena floor. The ref has begun the 10 count as Pence looks down towards Mr. Strange in frustration! Mr. Strange makes a move towards the ropes, sliding in, but sliding back out to restart the count! The fans are having a fit with Mr. Strange's actions as the ref holds Pence back and starts the count over! The ref tells Mr. Strange to get back in the ring, and Strange rolls in on 9, but rolls right back out again, drawing more boos from the crowd! Pence has a frustrated look on his face due to Mr. Strange's antics, but as Strange tilts his head from side to side, seemingly taunting Pence, Shadow comes up from behind Mr. Strange and forcefully slides him back into the ring! The fans go crazy as Pence lays the boots to Mr. Strange, and as Pence pulls Strange up, he grabs a hold of the front of Pence's trunks, and pulls down, sending Pence crashing neck first into the bottom rope! Mr. Strange runs to the opposite ropes, but Pence quickly gets up, and runs towards Mr. Strange! The two meet in the center of the ring and take each other out with Running Clotheslines! Both men are laid out as the ref begins the 10 count!

Both men begin to stir as the ref reaches four, and both crawl to their respective corners. Pence reaches his corner first, and tags in Shadow, who rushes towards Mr. Strange! Strange has just used the ropes to pull himself up in his corner as Shadow comes barreling towards him, and at the last moment, Mr. Strange dodges out of the way, sending Shadow crashing hard sternum first into the exposed turnbuckle! Level-One quickly tags himself in, and rolls Shadow up from behind, grabbing the tights! Mr. Strange runs over and dropkicks Pence as he tries to enter the ring as the ref counts,

Harvey: Level-One cheated to get the victory, but then again, that's how he's won most of his matches as of late!

Chase: Where you see a cheater, I see a crafty individual who has overcome adversity to gain the victory tonight!

Harvey: Oh, blow it out of your nose! Pence and Shadow were robbed tonight of a victory they should have earned! Mr. Strange and Level-One were cheating left and right, and nobody can deny that!

“Get in the Game” blares as the ref raises Level-One and Strange's arms in victory. Shadow tries to appeal to the ref that things weren't on the up-and-up with the pin, while Pence shakes his head out on the floor. Pence and Shadow are gracious in defeat, grabbing their belts and making their way up the ramp as Level-One hobbles to the corner to grab his crutches.

Mr. Strange and Level-One stand victoriously in the ring as we cut backstage.

President Jeff exits the building to enter his limo. As he walks out he stops in shock. There on the side of his limo reads the words "BLACKWELLS NEVER DIE!" Jeff turns toward Streets Wilson who just shrugs his shoulders.

Jeff: I'm getting a new crew for you Streets...these people are incompetent, and are making you look bad. Let me call for a town car, I'm certainly not driving in that.

Jeff then grabs for his cell phone and the limo explodes before his very eyes. Streets quickly covers Jeff tackling him to the ground in protection. The two look up toward the explosion in shock.

Jeff: Someone tried to kill me
