I was wondering why L-1 was being so weird. I can't think of any characters off the top of my head. My Mario knowledge doesn't extend beyond the SNES Mario so my knowledge is limited.

This is a thought, and only a thought. But in hindsight, what feature of Mario, characters aside, is more prevalent than the question mark box you get power-ups and coins from?
Think about it. Maybe L-1 is some JOAT-type character that represents the different things you find in those boxes.
At any rate, I think we can safely deduce that L-1 is town. Either that, or he's playing the Questions Only game from "Whose Line is it Anyway?" by himself, which would just be remarkably uncool.

No? I am not a JOAT?
I don't think I can say too much? I think I can say however, I am a character? You know, an actual character in the game?
I think my character is up to no good but yet I am town? So, I think there might be night recruits? It would be pretty ballsy to recruit me if so? So, am I worried about it? No, not really? Are you?

Only thing I can think of is a Shy Guy. I think I've seen them speak regularly, but in this game he might be too shy to say anything definitively. Works for his claim that he's usually up to no good but he's town.

Here's an off the wall theory: Chuckles Quizmo www.mariowiki.com/Chuck_QuizmoShy Guys don't ask questions. I looked up their bio on the same sight. Betting that L-1 is Quizmo.

About the L1 question character... I actually think that is pretty cool! Way to go, Speede! That's a pretty cool idea!
Secondly, Knux, one thing I've learned while playing mafia... Is that what you've done and how you've played in past games, means nothing in a new game. Chillax a bit, man. Eat some chocolate and cool it down, bro. Lol

Great find on that one, James. At any rate, we've at least made sure one person is town (for the time being).

Mario has arrived to his home, and on his couch sits his brother, Luigi, with a stern look on his face.
Luigi: Mario, what’s-a-going on in Toad Town?
Mario: It’s a-horrible, Luigi! Somebody a-killed the professor! And nobody can find any clues as to Bowser’s whereabouts!
Luigi: That’s-a-not good!
Mario: Toad and Toadette are a-looking for him now.
Luigi: Well I need to protect-a-tha kingdom too, Mario! Let me know how I can help!
---
Cut to Town hall, where Koopa is standing at the window, looking out at the town from the third floor, the only light being from the streetlight. The door bursts open, and two silhouettes come running in; without turning around, Koopa speaks.
Koopa: Is there any news?
Yoshi: None, sir! But my partner and I are keeping an eye out!
Birdo: That’s right, sir! We will keep you updated!
Koopa: Good... Good...

Day One ends in a NO LYNCH!
Night starts now; No talking!

Day 2:
The night has set in on the town, and we find ourselves in Forever Forest, where Shy Guy is meandering through the dark, spooky woods. As he does, an evil laugh comes echoing through the trees, and as Shy Guy turns around, his candle illuminates the face of Wario, with a gun pointed straight at him.
Wario: Ehehehe! Wrong place at the wrong time! Game Over for you!
Shy Guy: B-But Why?
Wario: Because I said so, that’s why!
As the mustachioed villain pauses, Shy Guy holds his hand up.
Shy Guy: W-will you wait, please?
Wario: Why should I?
Shy Guy: Because, do you really want to kill...
He moves his hand to remove his mask, and reveals his face from behind it.
Waluigi: Your own brother?
Wario: You were in disguise with the town, brother?
Waluigi: Waiting for the time to be right. Haha! We have them all terrified now.
---
We cut to the interior of Princess Peach’s castle. Mario is pacing the floor while Princess Peach sits on her couch, waiting for news.
Mario: Don’t-a-worry Princess! We will find something! I know it!
Princess Peach: Oh Mario! I know we will eventually!
Mario: All of-a-da best people are on-a-da job!

Notice in the write up Shy Guy was only asking questions until he turned into Waluigi. Maybe it's too obvious but unless someone has better info I say we pull the trigger.
Vote: Level One

Pepsi, at the moment that's coincidence. I can't look at that write-up and jump to that conclusion. Plus it seems to me too heavy-handed for a mod to hand a scummer on a plate like that.
However, does look like a recruit, but no kill last night. Could mean a number of things though.

Can I blame Pepsi for that? No? The write up does look suspicious with Shy Guy asking questions, doesn't it? Though, I wasn't the one recruited last night - how about you?
On the positive side it looks like we only have one faction to deal with? After Terry's game, I welcome the change - do you?
I think there's one way to prove who I say I am if I need to? Though, I only want to do it if I have too, right? Who in the world likes mod kills? Not me?

It's early, and if something better comes along with regard to the information that was found out last night, I reserve the right to change my vote. However... VOTE: Level-One

It seems too coincidental. If Shy Guy was speaking in questions in a situation that didn't necessarily call for questions, I'd say sure. I just don't feel it's a good vote, at this time.
Though, if anyone has any information that might back it up, it's welcomed.

I would LIKE to agree with Pepsi. But think about it, Pep... It's just too easy and convenient. I don't think that Speede would intentionally come out and put L1 on blast so blatantly like that. I'm afraid we might be lynching a townee. Although, I do understand where you're coming from.

It is blatantly obvious that there was a a recruit last night instead of a kill. We do know that someone was recruited but I think this would be way too easy. I think it's a red herring but I do like your thinking, Pepsi.

I'm not an investigative/informative role, so I can't contribute anything from the night phase.
Does Wario's discovery of Shyguy look more like at traitor than a recruitment though, as he was "in disguise" and "hiding in the town".
So maybe Wario targeted Shyguy for a kill, and since it was the traitor, he was brought into the QT.

Some of his "questions" are just statements with a question mark on the end of it. He reminds me of those ditzy girls who end every sentence with an upward inflection. Either it's a lazy post restriction or he doesn't actually have it anymore. My instinct was he was Shy-Guy day 1 and I'm sticking with it if we don't have any more solid info.

So maybe Wario targeted Shyguy for a kill, and since it was the traitor, he was brought into the QT. This is what I was thinking about it. Based on the write up it doesn't seem like a recruit. It looks more like a traitor to me as Wario did nothing to on vince Shy Guy, unless that was just flavour. I an understand why some are skeptical of the Level One lynch, and you're right it's based off assumptions. We don't know Level One is Shy Guy, but it was suspected and discussed that it was a possibility. The questions thing just jumped out at me. I know some think that would be too much of an obvious move by the Mod to write it up that way, but I also think making assumptions about a Mod's intentions is anger out as well. Has anyone ever played a game modded by Speede? Has Speede even modded before? It may seem like a shot in the dark, but I'm not really interested in playing a cagey and overly cautious game. I have seen Level One play some very sneaky games when he is in red. If he is in fact Waluigi I want him dead now not later. I am hoping someone with an investigative role has some info, until then my vote will stick. I am not one to simply Ollie my gut, but ignoring my gut reactions has gotten me in trouble in past games. So that's where I am at, I don't expect everyone to see it my way, that's what makes this game interesting.

If the night write up had Shy Guy with question marks on the end of statements, I'd be on board, but his questions were responses that would probably come out as questions anyways. But maybe that's just me.

What are you talking about? Wasn't everything I said in the form of a question since the start of the game? I haven't heard any mod complaints about it, have you? The only inconsistencies you see are the one's you want to see, isn't that correct? Do I need to phrase my questions in the form of a question? I don't think so? Can I just put a question mark on the end of whatever I want to see? Maybe, I am not sure? I went out of my way to do it like this because it's more fun this way, don't you think?

This is what I'm talking about. That is not a question. It's an incorrectly punctuated sentence. The lack of mod complaints is what's leading to my thinking that Waluigi doesn't have a post restriction, but Shyguy did.
