I've been a good boy Mema...I swear it!
Outside. Birds tweeting, a small chill in the air but the sun shines down through what trees are around. Clearly some kind of National Park or Trail as the scene opens. Jason Kash comes into the scene and is walking with an elderly lady. She has a cane but seems to keep pace with Kash as they come to a park bench. He helps her sit down and sits next to her.
Mema: You better be good, I know you came up with so much wrong around you but you've made a name for yourself. I seen what you've been doing to that other young man. Taking his girlfriend, you should be ashamed!
Jason Kash: He deserved it Mema! He was ignoring me!! I got really mad..
Mema: Well isn't that cute? Did you not get picked to play dodgeball? Quit being a pussy dear...You're a grown ass man! Act LIKE It!
Jason Kash: Like you have room to talk! Mom told me all the stories about your troubles growing up. Slapping girls with used pads cause they tripped you at lunch. You were just as Foul Natured as I am now, I've just modernized the process...Mema? MEMA!!!
He turns to her to get her reaction. He half expected her to slap him upside the head or yank at his ear. Yet her head was tilted forward. He softly lays the head back and checks her pulse. Nothing. He panics and jumps up from the bench, he grabs the first person walking by with a cell phone and screams out..
Jason Kash: My MEMA ISN'T BREATHING ANY MORE!!
The stranger looks at Kash's Mema and hurries over to check on her, as the man goes to check her pulse as Kash had done, Mema pops up and scares a fart out of the stranger.
Mema: But I'm not breathing any less either!! Haha!!
Kash loves when she laughs, her small little belly bounces with each giggle. The stranger though doesn't seem impressed with the prank and turns mumbling things as he walks away. Kash takes his place back sitting next to his Grandmother as her hand pats him on his leg.
Mema: Dear boy, I've still got it!
Jason Kash: Haha! You're crazy Mema!
Mema: It runs in the Family! Now listen to me, I know you have this rivalry with this young man Anthony Bailey. I've had my own rivalries in my youth, nothing that paid but just the same someone I didn't much care for. I remember getting this doll when I was, ohh about 11 and this girl in my class dropped my doll into a bucket of paint. After recess was over, I walked into class with a red doll but she walked in with a red face. When someone disrespects you, there is NOTHING too much outside of Murder and Rape that isn't allowed. So you need to hit Bailey and hit him hard if you feel he disrespected you..Like this!
She throws out a punch but it's like a mix between slow motion and convulsions. Kash smiles and leans over, kissing her to the cheek. Again she pats him on the knee and uses it to push herself up from the bench. She turns to her Grandson and gives it to him straight.
Mema: I love that you came to see me but I've got a Hot Date dear! So I've got to go get my flower smell on!
Jason Kash: Eww, that's gross Mema!
Mema: I'm 81, not dead! And it's more of a Foul down there right now..The roses need to come alive! Haha..Take care of yourself Dear..
Jason Kash: Just wrong Grandma...
Using her cane she hobbles away as Kash watches her disappear. He kicks back and lays his arm across the back of the bench as he takes in the scenery and nice weather. Spending time with his Mema gave him some perspective in various things. Mainly that she showed him where his Foul Antics came from but also it helped put this Bailey thing together a bit more. He disliked the guy but Hate? That really wasn't the emotion anymore.
Jason Kash: Somehow, someway..I feel a bit different about Anthony Bailey. That's not saying I LIKE the dude but after Mayhem, I can't help but feel like I have more respect for him. He came out to there and showed that no matter the environment he could still scrap like a Champion. Take that for what it's worth and maybe he feels this is some ploy to get in his head. That's what I do but I've done that already and that is where I found his weakness, it's where I discovered just who Anthony Bailey really is. A Son, A worker, a friend just not a very good friend. It's in his mind, in his thoughts that I discovered things about him that nobody had yet seen.
See I had something to fight for at Mayhem. I gave Bailey something to fight for and he continued to look around it, put it on the back burner where he has put old friends and girlfriends after their use to Bailey had faded and they no longer seem to matter to him. With me it was different, I looked at you and you only Anthony. As seen in the outcome of the Tag Match I was in for Meltdown, I forgot about those guys. I let my partner down in not being focused there but the night before was..Extraordinary!
Standing up, Kash holds his arm out, it's turned so the inner arm shows and he begins slapping at the section where the bicep meets the forearm. Commonly known at the inner elbow.
Jason Kash: I felt it travel through my veins Anthony. I felt it cause my heart to pump at a faster rate, I felt high. Just in defeating you. Seeing you laid over the ropes, slumped because I slapped you to the back of the head with a chair...I couldn't think right and just reacted. I found the way into your mind, your thoughts, and then I became your nightmare. Losing to me, to someone you see as being LOW in General. How did that FEEL Bailey? For me it was extacy mixed with heroin all in one shot. Oxycontin mixed with Alcohol..I felt the upper and downer of every kind of mix and cut of drugs on the street. Now they tell me I get to experience that again? Psh, sign me the fuck UP!
He pauses. Notices people passing by casually have all but vanished. He listens as roars and clanking of metal is heard somewhere. He walks a bit down the pathway until out from a bush comes a Warrior. He jumps back as the man's foam sword almost tags him to the face. The Warrior spots Kash and looks down at his attire or lack there of..
Warrior: HALT! Who thou ye? Who ye fight for?
Jason Kash: What..The fuck? Did I fall asleep?
He quickly looks around hoping this is some kind of dream. He doesn't remember people dressing that this but then gives the foam sword another hard look. It dawns on him.
Jason Kash: Oh shit! Is this one of those Live Action Role Playing things...what's it called?
Warrior: Larping, kind of a Live Dungeons & Dragons..Have you Sworn yeeself to a King?
Jason Kash: Technically I fight...for Asylum, can I play with your sword? Wow that sounds gay if you didn't actually have..a sword in your hand..Can I just touch it?
As the Warrior leans the "sword" towards Kash, another person jumps through the bushes and "slashes" the Warrior to his free arm. He instantly tucks it behind his back as he steps back and prepares for battle. Kash moves back, giving them their proper space as their battle commences. As the two Larpers do battle, Kash moves out of their way. He can hear other people playing throughout the Park and looks around to see some other fights happening. He had played D&D before, something he enjoyed but he didn't see this as being that at all. He gets that people often refer to D&D when trying to describe the Fantasy world of this genre. It's the original RPG after all and it's for that reason it digs deep into Kash's thoughts and plays with the pieces inside.
Jason Kash: In Asylum. The Modern Era belongs to me. I'm the original piece that made this Show worthy of coming too! James Chambers was Great, Rico Casteel was great but neither of them brought names like Sally Talfourd, Nathaniel Havok, Michael Callahan or even you to this show. I did. I promoted this and became it's Influence. I am the reference to what Asylum can be for a rising talent. I am the showcase of what someone can accomplish on this show. I'm the guy with the SURE BID to the APW Hall Of Fame while you...You are still clawing for recognition from the fans. Wanting them to cheer you when their boos are just as filling to the way I compete. I love it either way..
But we both want the same thing right now Bailey. You want to get a shot at the top again and that's what Test 4 The Best gives. I want that, all of our crews want that. If you ain't wanting that Top Spot, the Throne then you've gotten yourself in the wrong business. I want to be the Dungeon Master in this BITCH. I know you want it too Bailey and to do that you'll have to reach deep inside yourself, find that skill you're known from having. You bring the Promise and I'll bring the Remedy for it buddy, like last time, I'm lumping up the backside of your head. Just the plan I'm looking to execute man. We doing battle and to get things even between us, 2-2 I need to win this. It gives me a spot in T4TB and when Foul Play sweeps Dying Breed, it'll be us not you guys who stand tallest. Fuck them Sindicate fools cause they group up to stay up. Their rise will also be the inner workings of their crumble. Egos will clash, people will throw fits and once again, just like The Pillars we will see their WORLD supernova from within themselves.
His attention whips to the right as two people "fight" to the death with their foamed weapons. A man and a woman. The woman moves with a swift spin and is able to shove her "sword" up between the man's side and arm. He arches and puts on the show of his death. Dropping to his knees, groaning and he throws in a gargle and some convulsions as he slaps into the ground. The woman looks around and wipes off her "Blade" before hurrying from the scene to find another victim. She raises her weapon and lets her battle cry be heard.
Warrior Chick: All HAIL THE KNIGHTS OF TEORYRAN!
Kash watches her run off and has no clue of what Teoryran means but laughs at her involvement to the character. He shakes his head wondering how nobody was told about the Larp Event but he was wanting to see more so he takes a seat on the bench where he sat with his Grandmother and thinks more to where he is aligned, what he represents.
Jason Kash: I'm more unaligned, leaning to Evil. I'm liked and disliked by so many different people but Foul Play is my Banner. Yet you? You're a very "lawfully" good guy. You strive to be this proper citizen and I seen the hidden things about you. I outted you for the selfish prick you really are. Hopkins, Smooth? They try to follow the leader but both of them are either rising above you as we speak or they're content with being the weak link. Take your pick at which it is..The guy who tried to off himself or the guy who sees Young Mannie as the biggest goal he has yet to accomplish. You can chose. I've had my "Epic Destiny" I've had my moment to shine and now with T4TB, it's time to shed the Destiny and show The Best of who I am and can be. You are in my way of that and you haven't leveled up like me Bailey.
He leans forward and picks up a few pebbles off the ground. Another player in the Fantasy Larping game runs by carrying a Staff. He must be some kind of Wizard. He sits back and listens to the sounds of War all around him. Much like Asylum, with so many Factions and people wanting to push forward, it was a War being started and the Future seemed unclear to some. Kash wasn't unclear though, he knew exactly where he planned to go, where Foul Play would go and rise.
Jason Kash: The Future of Asylum, Raab-A-Mania, is up for grabs and I'll be DAMNED if it's anyone but Foul Play sitting up top. The Undisputed Title is in my future Bailey, maybe it's in yours as well but I'm getting there first and that too starts with this Tournament. This match ties things up if I win. That means sometimes down the road...later...We'll have to do it one more time. By then though one of us could hold Singles Gold, one of us could be on our way out of APW, who knows the road traveled ahead of us. That's what is so great about our little thing Bailey, it's like a game of Dungeons & Dragons. Each roll of the dice brings a new step forward, a new path taken, danger, treasures, loss of a friend. We've played this game, it's nothing new to either of us. I've got the Rogue/Thief duties, sneaking around, using poison to cloud your mind, question yourself. I do it up FOUL and it's known across the globe. You though? You're more of a Seeker. You're Primal but you like Controlling shit around you. Useful to a crew but selfish as well. Who goes on to win this game Bailey? Let's roll the dice, see who gets the better outcome. You ready?
He rolls the pebbles like dice onto the cement path in the park then hears a loud roar. He jumps up from the bench and twirls around to see a Giant Dragon! His eyes pop out of his head but then he notices the 8 legs under the Serpent Costume. He laughs as two Warriors rush in from the sides and a battle begins. He stands and watches it, wanting to almost play himself. The scene fades as he moves to get a closer view...
