Bio:
Victor does not know who his real parents are as he was sold to a circus in infancy by parents who did not want the burden of dealing with a deformed son. The only details he knows is that they may be from somewhere in the Bible belt. Victor spent his childhood as a sideshow freak attraction being referred to as the “Ghoul Child” due to his appearance. Victor spent his early years traveling from one forgettable small town to another in various places all vying for the title “arm pit” of America. He received no traditional form of schooling but was taught most of what he knows by other employees of the same traveling show, a transgendered “bearded lady” served as his school teacher, a child with elephantiasis of the hands billed as a “lobster boy” and a little girl afflicted with Hypertrichosis called the “Lycanthrope Lass” were his class mates.
As Victor grew older he became fascinated by the prowess and positive attention the strong man and acrobats of the traveling circus got. He spent his free time learning from them, their workout routines, their dietary regimens, the equipment they used and the secrets of their trade. Though he never turned his back from his academic studies either, becoming quite articulate and worldly. Victor bettered himself in the hopes of one day being more than simply a “freak.”
One day his circus was in town at the same time a small-time traveling wrestling company was putting on a show. He snuck away from the fairgrounds to see the spectacle and was immediately enthralled. The competition, the physical power, the agility, THIS was what Victor wanted to do with his life. He pleaded with the owner to be allowed a chance to join but was turned away due to his freakish appearance.
Disheartened, he continued in the employ of the traveling circus until his natural charisma and business savvy saw him gaining enough clout to be moved up to a position of ring master and announcer. He loved the spotlight and chance to draw reactions from the crowd but never lost his desire to wrestle and would go to his room nightly to gaze upon the marvel of professional wrestlers in action. Upon traveling south of the Border, Victor came into contact with the Luchador style of wrestling and the many masked competitors it utilized. Believing this to be a not merely a stroke of luck but surely a merciful opportunity granted to him by the fates, he donned a mask and participated in Mexican wrestling as “El Fantasma Palido” - The Pale Ghost. Though he gained much prestige and became something of a crowd favorite, one day he was accidentally unmasked during a match, revealing his unnatural appearance. The crowd immediately turned on him and much to his dismay he was fired on the spot.
Cast out from his beloved world of lucha libre and left with nowhere else to turn, he decided to pursue another lifelong passion of his. With the money he had saved up over a lifetime he purchased an R.V. with a trailer and created his own traveling “Horror memorabilia, occult curiosa, oddity shop and showcase.” Part niche antique shop and part mobile exhibit, he used the excess funds generated to begin producing his own “show.” It was a bizarre talent variety show, classic horror movie screening, mock-umentary laden, random skit having program which he distributed episodes to local cable access T.V. Channels as he passed through towns. Though making enough to live off of, Victor always felt something was “missing.” He longed for the adrenaline fueled action, the thrill of competition, and most of all he missed a live audience of rambunctious fans. It's because of this that he decided to return to the wrestling ring.
