Bio: Arkia was born 4th out of 6 kids and is the only girl in a household full of boys. Every single one of her brothers’ love wrestling...they would sit together and watch Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Sting, and many other greats on their screen as much as they could. Initially, Arkia hated wrestling back then she would much rather watch a comedy sitcom or cartoons but over time the love for wrestling took over her. In no time she was right in with her brothers jumping, yelling, and screaming at the TV during matches.
The passion of wrestling never left her and living on the rougher side of the tracks with 5 brothers developed her into a really tough chick. As she got older she found another passion, the love of money. As a teen Arkia would make money by running high stake gambling rings on big time sport events. Over time she made it into a small little business that really made good money. Rumor has it that she still tries to dabble in that lifestyle because the money comes so quick and easy...She excelled in high school academically and athletically. Fisk was the only girl on her high school wrestling team at East Newark High School, she was also the only wrestler that graduated undefeated which was even more shocking. Her mother, Lynn, always made a big deal about college and made sure she took the avenues to get there..
Arkia always considered her mom as her driving force to do the best she can in whatever she did. Lynn is Arkia's role model of how to handle business as a young African American woman and they have the best mother-daughter relationship. Arkia always understood where her mother was coming from when it came to school but she never agreed with it...Arkia is a wrestler, it's her passion and means everything to her. Arkia is also a money maker, she loves to make money....why not put them together and make a career out of that? She received an academic scholarship to Rutgers University and majored in business, all while she was in college she worked in the gym as much as her schedule would allow so she wouldn't lose her skills. She choose not to wrestle on the team during college at her mother's request.
Arkia has quite a different dynamic with her father, Daniel. This is a man that has done more wrong than right making a career out of stealing or as he likes to put it "borrowing income". When Fisk was younger her father was just a two-bit criminal who's best capers came from breaking and entering. He wasn't around much as you can imagine, if he wasn't in jail for a job gone wrong he was out doing the next job. This shown Fisk the results of taking shortcuts in comparison to her mother who worked hard as a nurse to maintain what Daniel’s varying income couldn't. As time went on Daniel became better in this craft. Now a days he no longer looks at middle-class homes as jobs but world renown art galleries and museums as his hit of choice. It's been a long time since Daniel has seen the inside of a county jail but he is on many police departments wanted list. To pay for past mistakes Daniel tries to make amends for the past with all his children in various ways - babysitting for siblings of Arkia that has children, giving away things that he stole (That's how Arkia's older brother Christopher got his 1st vehicle, it didn't go well). The main thing he tends to give his only girl is money from successful hits. He knows Arkia's ambition in business and she also has a liking for the finer things, so why not money? Arkia believes it doesn't change the past but who would give up free money?
Balancing what she wanted and what her parents wanted was bound to butt heads eventually....when it did, Arkia life changed. She decided in her junior year of undergrad to quit college and go for her dream....and by now we all know who didn't agree with that. Her parents, more her mother, were outraged and just couldn't understand why she wanted to wrestle. An argument ensued where Arkia's parents told her the truth of what they felt about "wrestling". "IT'S A WASTE OF LIFE!!" "YOU QUIT SCHOOL YOU'LL NEVER BE ANYTHING" Although the Fisk parents did enjoy wrestling as a way for entertainment, they never agreed with Arkia's active participation in the sport. Arkia was basically banished her from the family because she wanted to follow her heart...Arkia spent a long time not contacting her parents because of their reaction to the fact that she dropped out of school. She feels that her brothers betrayed her by not standing up with her. She takes wrestling as a serious business, she's here for the love of the mat but also the love of the money. She sees the cash...she's on your ass.
