Would you participate?
Keep in mind - there is still a lot to be decided if we reopen the doors here. A few of my thoughts at the moment:
Word Limits - There will almost certainly be some kind of word limit attached to promos. I'm not in a position to read 20-25 roleplays a week that have eclipsed the 5,000 word mark and I believe most of our core group isn't in a position to write like that any longer.
Shows - It's looking likely that we'll be having ONE bi-weekly show. If we reopen and there is a weekly show, two of the four shows per month will be heavily storylined.
Smaller Roster - We're going quality over quantity.
Thoughts?

This could possibly work for me I believe. I just started grad school earlier this month and that's taking up the majority of my time, along with a new relationship. But I'd love to give APW one last run.

Would be of interest but it'd have to fit where I'm at now as well. I would surely give it a go but as Rebel said, it all depended on the setup.

Asylum ran on a 2 x 2000 promo limit. 1 x 3000 might be better? I think also, to help you, having a team of judges (permanent, designated matches) could help. You have my idea about a show schedule. But a fortnightly schedule, I think, would be the best way forward. How that translates into competitive matches is up in the air; whatever gets the most people in. Also, having a capped roster is probably a good idea in the early days. I don't know what that limit would be though - maybe close signups, and round it to the nearest total after a certain date and that's your number?

I will throw down a yes for now. I believe you and discussed these things a bit, Reb, so a lot of it seems in line with that.

I haven't RPed since leaving APW, I always said this place would be my last efed, so if were to reopen I would be happy to take part. I enjoyed writing matches and would be happy to help out in any way needed.
Word Limit: I liked the two RP with 1.5-2K max for singles matches and a 2K limit on any match involving more than two people. I feel this would work better than a single RP for two reasons: first it allows the characters to have a little back and forth in a singles match to build/push storylines. Second, with a cap on membership this wont get out of hand too quickly. Say we do 20 members max to start out, not everyone is going to be on a show so you estimate maybe five or six matches per card, and not all of them are going to be singles matches. I'm also pulling for the shorter word count for another reason. As a Engilsh teacher I've found one of the best exercises for my students is to lessen the word/page count for their essays and short stories. It makes them focus on content and helps weed out the 'filler.' Rather than pad a roleplay to match someone's limit perhaps we focus on 'trimming the fat' to emphasize quality? Thoughts?
I also support the idea of doing heavily storylined parts too. Storylines are what really make your characters (IMO). This is supposed to be a game, and in a roleplaying game sometimes things happen that you dont expect because it's good for the story. Moreover, throwing a little story into the mix can help people overcome writer's block/stagnation by giving them an angle to work, especially if they're on a massive cold/hot streak.
Smaller Roster is a must. You get too many people in a show and things get chaotic. Another idea for the shows and results is to offer certain backstage slots to people NOT booked on the card so they can still maintain "screentime" while not squaring off that show.

Sign me in...but will Jeff be involved? Just wondering since it may feel wrong for him to not be involved with his creation. :/

In some capacity, yes. Whether that's writing matches or helping behind the scenes in some other way. A full time RP return is highly unlikely, but some Undertaker sort of arrangement is possible.

Like I said to you, I'm just getting back to RPing, so bi-weekly is the goal, I liked Asylum's set up. Bi-weekly 2 x 2000. I also like the storylined shows idea, it's been an idea I had in the past. a two bi-weekly shows, one that got actual results and a Superstars inspired show where we can put some segs because I felt towards my end, the shows were over saturarted with segms (mine included) that it was hard to have a flow going and it would help those who put the show together not have to worry about fitting EVERY seg in nor would handlers feel forced ot get everything in.
its an idea. You do some squash match stuff, maybe a real match
I'm cool with either capped or not capped. so long as I'm in

I would be down, APW was one of my favorite feds to be apart of and was bum'd when it closed because I wasn't there long enough to really experience everything so I would take part. but that means I would have to leave one of my other places too because with two jobs and a personal life it would make it tough and I really don't like to "No-Show" or cause any issues.
I also like the idea of the bi-weekly show, which probably makes it easier for a lot of people as for the limit whatever works is cool, i like the idea of having a 2 RP limit, Shadow made a lot of sense but again with work and everything else it might be hard for the person to really commit to 2 roleplays.
But either way I would come back and be apart of APW, that is if I'm welcomed back, I'm sure some of the seasoned and APW Alumni might get first dibs on a spot if there is a roster cap but sure, why not?

I wouldn't join right away no because of the three titles I'm holding in three different feds at the moment, but once I lose 2 or even better all of them, I'd join up right away, but not at the moment.

I would seriously seriously think about it. IT would definately be a different character, and at a much more laid back capacity, but I think it would be fun to do once again. Assuming you'd all have me that is.

John Cena = Successful, Multi-time Champion, King of Merchandise, Recognized world wide, a part time movie star, and over the top rich.
I'll take that as a compliment.

(And no, this won't be like when I had my Biggs character step down and bring in the Stud Muffins.)
