Year End Awards
The Year End Award Categories and nominations has been posted. 14 Awards will be given out ranging from PPV of the Year, to Super Star of the year. Voting ends on January 6th at 8pm EST with results being revealed the following day.
Changes to Overdrive Card
What was scheduled to be a triple threat match on Overdrive between David Hill, Caleb White and Rick Stevens, has now been changed to a singles match between Caleb White and Rick Stevens. David Hill was expecting to get a working Visa by earlier this week, and there has been some complications. David Hill will not be booked until those complications has been sorted
Staff Changes
After a meeting last week between APW Management, changes in staff positions will be taking place immediately. APW Ring Announcer Tony Ferrari, will no longer be the ring announcer for Overdrive. Tony will be replaced by Nicky Paige who was the ring announcer for the sort lived Meltdown. Tony will be APW’s Ring announcer for Pay Per View Events.
Meltdown Commentators, Eric Nickels and Shane West will also be given new jobs inside APW. Eric Nickels will be given the job as an APW interviewer for actionpackedwrestling.tk. This step in direct is to make the Action Packed Wrestling website more than just a place for fans to just check out the great results. Shane West will be replacing Phil as the APW On Air backstage interviewer. And Phil will be given the job as Action Packed Wrestling’s official news reporter. Phil will be bringing the fans the latest Headline News from APW as often as he can.
Update on President Jeff
At Christmas Chaos, President Jeff was found unconscious in his office by Cindy Shannon. Jeff was then rushed to local hospital where he regain conscious. The Next Day Jeff was transported from the Long Island Hospital to the Toronto Hospital where he was soon released and was able to spend Christmas at home with his family.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation. Word right now is that someone attacked President Jeff, but who? Jeff has made many enemies in 2008 while being a ruthless boss in building his empire.
Jeff’s Doctors, Staff and Lawyers has strongly suggested that Jeff not to return to APW Television and to say in his hometown of Toronto and work from his head office. Police say that they do not want to risk any more attacks on Jeff, which could results in him being hurt or lead to his death. Police also say that they want to keep a close watch on Jeff as this investigation continues. More on this story as it develops.
Jeff out, who’s in charge?
With President Jeff forced to stay off APW Television, questions have been wondering, who will be in charge. Or will there be anyone in charge? Well, we can confirm to you all that someone will be in charge and will be announced on Overdrive this Monday. After going back to his office and get back to work in planning for 2009, President Jeff has made some phone calls and has hired a new General Manager for Overdrive. Jeff has told us “I’ve know this man for a few years now, unlike a past General Manager. But this guy I know has what it takes to make Overdrive a huge success in 2009.
We we’re also told that the General Manager will have a huge announcement this Monday on Overdrive on behalf of President Jeff regarding January’s PPV, the event that started APW a year ago, New Years Retribution. Jeff has told us that “This an one announcement your not going to want to miss”
