Does anybody know some guys who lost their first match in a fed and went on to do very well in that same fed?

I lost my first in RHWA to some dude who played as AJ Styles, won my first in EWC against three people who's names I've forgotten, and lost my first in APW to Level One.

Well, when you start off against one of the best, you're bound to get walloped. What matters is if you use each match as a learning experience to get better.
Also, Jeff, much of my success here has to do with opponents no showing, unfortunately. Still, thanks for the vote of confidence.

I think you won your EWC match against People who no showed, and I think they no showed cause they haven't been in the fed for 3 months. I could be wrong on that, but I don't think I am. And your first lost was against Slade on the July 29th Overdrive

I lost my first 1 vs. 1 match there against Jesse Nunez.

I handled a character named Sabur in APW as well as Lively. He lost his first match and I think every title shot he had untill the world title. Then defended it a few times untill I pulled him due to the load and soon later becoming a dueche wad with my ship jumping antics. Point being it doesn't matter Kid, just stick with it, and Lively is back once Jeff gets stomped out, so deal with it....HA!

In EwC, Moses Lake won his first match against Hellraiser (who either no-showed or didn't put in an effort); then lost his second match to Jason Burgess (same handler as Hellraiser).
He then went on to be the greatest International Champion ever, became the first person to beat Shadow Man, and reeked of general awesomeness in two, count that TWO EwC Championship reigns (and let's not forget that day he made BDC shit his pants), along with a spiffy Hardcore Title run in the middle there. He was pretty much the greatest thing ever to happen to EwC, and his decision to go on a permanent vacation pretty much lead to the company's self-destruction.
Meanwhile, here in APW, I lost my first match to Jeff, and someday will turn around to have a great career.
Someday.

i most likely lost my first match here... and I lost twice to Iggy "The Iguana" before finally grabbing him by his esophagus and ripping him to the ground for my Xtreme title win... but why are you asking this question

I think everyone has beaten Shadow Man.
He just stole good material from other writers, called it is, and had pull on whether he won or loss, unless it was clear cut.
Then again, when you overcome that, you HAVE to be commended.

Yeah, SM was a good guy, even if he phoned it in for the last couple months he was active.
I pretty much summed up my feelings toward him and his style in my StableWars 9 "Blatantly Copy Everyone's RPing Style to Show to Everyone Else How Fucking Predicable, Boring, and Repetitive They Are" RP that so thoroughly pissed off most of them.
Sample: "Are you confused? Still trying to figure out how to win at everything?
It’s simple.
Denial.
Tell me that you’re going to pin me.
BAM, I come back and say “Fuck you, you can’t pin me!”
That, my friends, is an amazing rebuttal. Seriously, try and top that. Because, fuck you, you can’t top that."
Ahhh, that was probably the last RP where I was actually good at trash-talking. I usually try to stay humble, but that's easily one of my own three favourite RPs. If only I knew what a huge douchebag Level-One would've grown into and I could've made my section on him a lot better...

To be honest, I've always done best in a fed after I do lose the first match or 2. Especially after being away for awhile, its a quick sign to step your game up lol

Then again, when you overcome that, you HAVE to be commended. Hell yeah! But I liked the dude, he wasn't a douche or anything. I'm not doubting him as a person, but he was a low life when it comes to sucking the concept of this entire game. The fact that I only knew him within the realms OF this game; that says a lot to me. And because he was such a fraud in character, it's hard to believe his constant mishaps in his life because he's proven to be a liar already. If I win or lose; fair enough. When I spend three hours to put something together; and have someone steal someone's elses work, call it theirs, and try to scam away with the win, its a slap in the face. It doesn't belong in the game, I'm glad he's decided to fuck off and leave quietly. Moses, your ligit. I don't know if you ever plan on coming back to the game, but your work always hangs in the back of my mind, especially if I want to sit down and make a strong foundation for a pure wrestling based promo; though, I don't do it too often.

I did shit myself against Lake, it's true lol. You were too good for me at the time mate.
As for Shadow Man, I liked the bloke, couldn't help it. As for him robbing other people's work, I don't know about that, but I don't care either way anymore lol.

Hey, don't get pissed about me high-jacking the thread, but Shadow and Mac were the same person, right?
I kept my mouth shut about it on the EwC boards, but I remember I had like 8 or 9 different reasons why I thought so.
If they weren't the same guy, then they had to be good friends in real life and just never discussed it on the boards...

They are the same guy, the secret is out now. Don;t know how no one figured it out. I figured it out pretty fast. Kinda obvious whenever Mac disapeared for a week or so, so did Shadow Man. Quite a few people knew about it too, we just never said anything on the boards.
Also pretty sure, even would bet money on it, that Mac was Memphis Reigns

I don't know about that. I used to speak to Mac a lot on MSN, and if that was the case then he needs help. He seemed like a tidy bloke, and he was always nice to me, so I don't really have anything bad to say about him.
I miss talking to him, but oh well.
I knew he was SM, but that didn't bother me either way.

Kid Cactus made a post one in the EWC staff lounge, which was only up for like 1 minute and I just happen to be online to see it. But he posted that Mac's IP Adress matched Shadow Man's and Memphis Reigns IP Adress.
Mac also used the accident or Illness card many times when PPV's we're suppose to be posted. I wouldn't put it passed him to pull a stunt like that.

Ok but my point is why would Mac Interact with himself on the boards? Is he crazy or something?

I know he pulled the sickness stunt loads of times - then again, I think most of us are guilty of that every now and then.
When I was GM of Brawl, he tended to try to steal the limelight from what I'd written etc and said that he thought of ideas etc, when I ended up doing 90% of the work.
He also hated the thought of Ret Inc. cause we were a better idea/stable than FORCE (which was mostly due to Jeff's ideas and effort in fairness).
Other than that, I liked him lol.
As for the Ryan Reynolds thing, it was a joke. As for him talking to himself on the boards as it were, I had to do that as GM, because we didn't want anyone thinking that we were voting on our own matches etc etc.

When I was the GM in EWC, I had 2 accounts. Max Carter account and Hurricane Jeff account. I would take to each character on the boards. I even had the 2 characters in the chat room at the same time to really throw everyone off

Retribution Inc. was tits... until everybody started joining and you guys went all NWO.
Too bad the RI/Retribution Solution storyline never got a real pay-off.

I was in a weird situation with RI. I only wanted it to be me, Link, Lance and Nate Broadway, with Jeff as a storyline character. Jeff asked me to bring Joey on board to help him with storylines etc, then I was getting pms all the time with people asking to join, and I felt bad saying no. It did get a bit silly toward the end, but it was still great The Retribution Solution idea was amazing, and the storyline was one of the best I've seen in efeds.
