Sports Association Press.com:
A spokesman from Action Packed Wrestling (APW), an internationally recognized federation and member of the organization known as ‘The Experts’ issued a press release early Sunday morning regarding the popular wrestler known as Bryan Payne. The two time World Champion whose personal struggles over the last year have become fodder for half a dozen tabloid magazines appears to have finally, in the words of one unnamed
source ‘snapped.’
After brutal in ring attacks on Level One (Lester Only), and Sally Talfourd, and one unspecified backstage incident involving medical personnel, General Manager Biggs has ordered the APW “Mega Star” to undergo anger management therapy or risk financial and professional sanctions up to and including the termination of his contract.
“Bryan Payne has to realize that the health of our in ring talent is our first priority here in APW,” said Terrance Grant press liaison, “but we consider the mental heath of our athletes just as important. This move is in the best interest of Mr. Payne, and his future opponents.”
Mr. Payne could not be reached for comment on this issue, however his Manager, Karen Foster, did release an answering statement that ‘The Revelation’ would be complying with the order in the interests of fulfilling his contractual obligations to APW. “Bryan Payne is an exemplary human being of the highest ethical character. He is tireless in his efforts on behalf of his, and other notable charities, and is a pillar in the community. To subject him to this kind of slander, implying that he is some kind of ‘loose cannon’ is absurd.”
Given the former champion's checkered history with violent confrontation with authority figures, and the severity of the neck injury suffered by Level One, one has to wonder if this has put Biggs himself in Payne's crosshairs.
