The scene opens up at the IWC Arena in Long Island. Its Sunday, November 21st, the day of the 2nd IWC show. Chris walks into the building with Ellie by his side to see some of the IWC misfits setting the ring up for the show while a few others are setting chairs up around the ring.
Ellie: Wow, this is way different than an APW show.
Chris: It is, but the fans are just as loud. Come on, lets go backstage and get ready.
With his gym bag over his shoulder, Chris and Ellie head to the locker room. Chris takes a seat on a bench and buts his bag down. Ellie takes a seat next to him. Ellie takes out her phone and begins texting people as Chris takes off his shoes in preparation in getting ready for later tonight. As Chris is digging around his bag, Ellie starts to laugh.
Chris: What’s so funny.
Ellie: Oh nothing Christopher.
Chris: You can’t laugh and not tell me what’s funny.
Ellie: Ok, take a look at this.
Ellie hands Chris the phone and a video of Jason’s Royce promo is playing where Jason stops Chris after his interview with Jack Spade two weeks ago. After watching it, Chris looks at Ellie who is still snickering.
Chris: Do I really sound like a retard on camera?
Ellie: Well, not always.
Chris: Must be the quality of video cameras that IWC uses. A piece of Junk that’s what it is. Or maybe Talking to a retard like Jason, I just pick him his mannerism.
Ellie: How can you let Jason Royce talk to you like that?
Chris: I think I was just more in shock that Jason Royce could string together a half decent sentence.
Ellie: Your gonna kick his butt tonight right?
Chris: Of course I’m going to kick his ass. You saw how he talked to me. I’m not going to let him get away with disrespecting the greatest Xtreme Champion of all time. He think he can just show up and lay his hands on me? Well, Jason Royce just never learns. Him coming back into the wrestling business was a mistake. Him calling me out was even a bigger mistake, and a bigger mistake than that, shoving me. I’m going to give Jason a lesson in respect. I’ll give respect where respect is due, but until Jason Royce accomplishes a quarter of what I’ve accomplished and conducts himself as a professional. He leaves me no choice but to beat the respect into him.
Ellie: Well Jason didn’t come out of retirement because of you Chris. He came out because he used to be in IWC and was to have success here. Your apparently a road block to the top.
Chris: Yah, like that will happen. For Jason to think that I’m a road block for him to get to the top, it must be Jason that is on Crack or weed or something. Jason has some unfinished business with me, but I already finished my business with him. I guess he still can’t get past the fact that I carried our Tag Team two years ago. That I am better than him. And since the break up of our tag team, I’ve gain more stardom than him. I hope Jason realizes this and we can just move on, both of us. If he doesn’t like that I’m not into the blood and gore like he is, that’s too bad for him. Just knowing that this is the kind of wrestling Jason relies on to become successful just speaks volumes on just what kind of wrestler he really is.
Ellie: Why do people rely on Hardcore Wrestling Chris?
Chris: Its because people like Jason Royce can’t wrestle, so they rely on another alternative. People like Jason don’t know the difference between a wrist lock and a wrist watch. And it people like him that give wrestling a bad name. And that’s why I’m here. To give IWC a good name. To give IWC credibility. Jason can plan to beat me up with all the weapons he can think off, but at the end of the day, It doesn’t scare me, and I’m not scared of Jason Royce. One thing is a guarantee, I will NEVER run from Jason Royce. I didn’t run from him in APW and I won’t be doing it here. And if he thinks, for one single second that he’s going to make me wish I didn’t come to IWC, then he needs to wake up, because after I’m done with Jason, He’s going to have the same success he had in IWC has he had in APW after we broke up as a team.
Ellie: No success?
Chris: Exactly. Jason’s problem, he lives in his own little dream world. He’s stuck in his fantasy land. He thinks that he’s the one that carried out team for example. Well, take a look at all the tapes, it clearly shows that I carried the team. Even after we broke up, I accomplished more. And the fact that Jason thinks he’s good proves that he’s living in a fantasy world. And its going to be my job tonight to bring him back to reality. I’ve beaten him time and time again. I defeated him to win the Xtreme Title at Christmas Chaos without help, I beat him at Rasslemania V without help. And I even beat in a unification match when he wanted to unify the APW and CWF Xtreme Title. A title that he was the last of in CWF. So to beat Jason Royce, takes absolutely no luck what so ever. So I know I can beat Jason tonight, and after tonight, the crappy part is that we’ll have to listen to whatever excuse Jason can come up with as to why I defeated him.
Ellie: Why did Jason say that you we’re useless as the male stripper that shows up on Monday Night Raw?
Chris: I don’t even know what Monday Night Raw is or why Jason has Male strippers on his mind.
Ellie: What about the Hardcore Mentality, do you still have that inside you?
Chris: I gave that up a year and a half ago. I’ve been in Hardcore matches where I did not pick up one weapon. Look at One Night in Hell for example. For Jason to come out and say something like that is just plain stupid. Who is he to tell everyone what kind of person I am. Who is he to say that he know’s what going on in my mind. I’ve beaten some of the best wrestlers in the world in Hardcore matches without using a weapon. Jason will be no different. Because I could care less if the fans want to see me beat Jason’s head in with a chair over and over and over and over again. Even if I feel like doing it, but I won’t. Because I’m a wrestler. I don’t need to take years off my career by being put through a table, or jumping off a ladder. Its not worth it. If that what Jason wants to do, fine, more power to him. But I don’t want to hear him complaining when he’s laying in a hospital bed, crippled and having to wear a diaper while I’m winning championships.
Ellie: Is Jason as Dangerous as he say’s he is?
Chris: What’s with all the questions?
Ellie: I’m just trying to understand this Jason Royce character
Chris: Well to be honest, Jason Royce is a danger to himself. I think he believe his own hype so much that he thinks he can do anything, when honestly, he should be afraid of himself and not stabbing himself in the eye with a fork while trying to eat.
Ellie: One more question. That ugly belt. If you lose, will you raise it up in the air and say that you are the ugly IWC Hardcore Champion?
Chris: For Jason to go through all the efforts in getting that pointless championship that means nothing to me or IWC shows that he has the mentality of a four year old. No one cares about that. No one cares about Jason Royce. The only thing I want to do is go into that ring and beat Jason Royce, go on to the super show, beat him again, and then go on to bigger and better things. And there’s nothing I hate more than people believing their own lies. I’ve been in this business for three years now and there’s no one that has gotten under my skin more than Jason Royce. Maybe its because I have no patience for a stupid inbred, but tonight, its going to be déjà vu all over again for Jason when I hit him with my finisher and pin him for the millionth time.
Ellie: I know you can do it Chris.
Chris: I know I can too Ellie. But I think you should leave the dressing room so I can get ready.
Ellie: What should I do.
Chris: I dunno, go see if they need help working the merchandise booth.
Ellie: Ok, I’ll see you later.
Ellie kisses Chris on the cheek and leaves the locker room
Chris: I’ll show Jason tonight just who going to beat the hell out of who tonight
Chris continues to get into in ring gear as the scene cuts out.
