It’s a few hours after the 100th Episode of Overdrive has gone off the air. The scene opens up inside a local bar in Cleveland Ohio. The bar is pretty much empty as its almost closing time. We see Chris Cyrus sitting on a bar stool at the bar with a bottle of Budweiser beer in his hand. Chris looks bummed out as he takes a drink, finishing the last of it. He grabs the bar tenders attention and lifts his empty bottle at the young women, signaling for another beer. The Barteander grabs a beer, takes the bottle opener and pops the top off. She goes over to Chris, grabbing the empty beer bottle and giving him a new one. The blond hair Bar Tender then says to him
Bartender: This is gonna have to be your last one, we’re closing up.
Chris nods his head as he takes a drink. Chris sits there thinking about what should have been a special night for him. His 100th episode of Overdrive. He’s the only active wrestler who had been on all 100 episodes and now he won’t get to be on Episode 101. Chris knew what was at stake going into this match, but never expected to lose
Bartender: You look down hun. What’s the matter.
Chris: I lost me job tonight.
Bartender: Oh, I’m so sorry to hear that. Where did you work if you don’t mind me asking.
Chris: Actually, I’m a pro wrestler. I worked for Action Packed Wrestling.
Bartender: You mean that wrestling show that was in town tonight?
Chris: That would be the one.
Bartender: Did you fail a drug test or something?
Chris: No, I was in a match, and the loser of the match would have to leave the company.
Bartender: Now why did you sign up for something like that.
Chris: I thought I was going to win.
Bartender: Well you thought wrong. You’ll be alright, your still young.
Chris: I don’t think its because I lost the match that I’m so bummed out. In this business, if you lose one job, you can easily get another one. I also wrestle for another company in New York. Is a small company, the money isn’t as good, but the wrestling there is great.
Bartender: So why are you really bummed out then.
Chris: I lost two of my best friends in the mist of everything. Everything was going great, and then my best friends fiancé started hitting on me and my friend caught us in the middle of an act, which I did nothing wrong, she came on to me. I tried to stop her, but he wasn’t buying it. So his fiancé and I tried to keep out friendship going, but I wasn’t comfortable with it, so I blew her off tonight. I feel bad about it. It wasn’t her fault, I was just upset over everything and just blew up.
Bartender: Well friend, sitting in this place late at night, trying to drink your problems away isn’t going to do you any good.
Chris: I know, but I just don’t know what to do right now.
Bartender: Well you have that wrestling place in New York. Go down there and turn the bad into something good.
Chris: Maybe I should.
Chris chugs the rest of his beer
Chris: I should get going so you can close up.
Chris stands up from his stool and hands the bartender a $100 dollar bill.
Chris: Keep the change
Bartender: You only owe me like $15
Chris: I know. I’ll see you around.
Chris walks out of the bar as the scene cuts out.

The scene opens back up with Chris in his hotel room. Chris has his lap top set up on a table and he’s sitting in front of it. He turns his webcam on and begins cutting a promo
Chris: As everyone saw tonight, I lost to Biggs on Overdrive. I am no longer employed in Action Packed Wrestling. The bad part about it, I say good buy to a lot of people I’ve worked with since coming into this business. The good pay outs is gone. No more Rasslemania’s. But I gotta look on the bright side. IWC is back, its doing great. And now, I don’t have to split my focus between two companies, I can focus on IWC and help make it better than ever.
Last week I took on Jason Royce. And I did once again what I said I was going to do and that was beat Jason. Jason might have thought he had the best of me, but I proved that I am better than him, and in less than a month, I get to do it again in a Fans Bring the Weapons Match. Everyone may be wondering why I picked that match. Well, I have my reason, but now isn’t the time to get into it.
What I want to take about it my match next Sunday against two men. Finally, Finally, and I want to thank Reginald for giving me new opponents, and challenging opponents. It will be Chris Cyrus verses The Gambler and James Chambers.
First, I want to talk about The Gambler. Your in the same boat as me, We’re both at two wins, zero loses here. That gives me all the more reason to make sure I come out the winning in this match. I’m going to show the fans of IWC that you are nothing but a failure. Sure, you won two matches, but look at the matches. Your first match against Stephan Saint and Matt Marrgera. Easy win for you. Look where those two ass clowns are at now? And then, just last week, you fought Gordie James. Gordie lost his first match and then against you. Look where he’s at now. All your opponents so far have left IWC. So your wins, they mean nothing. At least one of my opponents so far is still around. But those wins prove nothing Gambler. You just got lucky. You picked up the win because your opponents are nobodies. But guess what, your fighting a somebody now. Your fighting a future IWC champion. Your fighting a fired up Chris Cyrus. And I’m going to expose your weakness to the IWC misfits when I wrestle circles around you. You may have been in his business longer than me, but I’m younger, faster and I’m a whole lot better looking than you. And another thing that makes you a failure is the wrestling company you opened up. You couldn’t even keep it going for a year. you’re the gambler, aren’t you suppose to have lots of Money. Shouldn’t you be able to pay your wrestlers? Maybe you just spent all your money paying Hurricane Jeff so you had to close shop. Either way, You’re a failure as a promoter and you’re a failure as a wrestler. And next Sunday Gambler, your going to see it for yourself.
And James Chambers. Last week you made your IWC debut, defeating 3 other guys. Your quickly becoming the big talk of the company. I guess it helps that you we’re once a big star in EWC. Former champion and everything. But you know, that’s what then, a place that no one cares about, a place that was around for like 10 years and since APW came about, its name and reputation went down drain. But I must say, Its good that you put that company behind you and joined a company that’s on the rise. Its just too bad that your second match has me in it. James, you’re a beast of a man, but I’m I going to run from you? Am I going to let you walk all over me, I don’t think so. Your past accomplishment mean squat to me. What you’ve done here is all that matter. I know you have your eyes set on being the Insane Champion, but so do I. And because of that Jimmy boy, I’m going to bust my ass in this match and prove to everyone that I am indeed deserving of being the Insane Champion. I’m not going to say that I’m better than you, because your match last week didn’t prove anything. Hell, my match last week didn’t prove much either. But next week, your in for a real challenge. I got something to prove now. And a win over the “great” James Chambers could be what I need. Maybe it will stop people thinking of what I’ve become and have them start thinking what I’ll be. James, you might have been a big shot once, but this now, in IWC, it’s a different environment, it’s a different way of wrestling and next Sunday, your going to see that your not what you once was and that its going to take more than just your name to become a star here.
So next week guys, get ready for a hell of a match. I’ve waited for a match to prove myself to everyone and right now, this is that match. I’m just waiting for details on what I need to do to become champion, and in the mean time, I’m just going to keep winning matches. It started with Billy Shea and Jason Royce and it will continue with The Gambler and James Chambers. This will be our last Asylum match before the Super Show, and I hope Jason Royce watches this, because he’s going to see that what I will do to you guys will be nothing compared to what I will do to him. Its make or break time for us. The man who wants it the most is going to win, and believe me, I want it the most. Look into my eyes. You can see the determination. You can see the fire and the drive. Earlier tonight, when I got fired for APW, I was a little down, but I came to realize that this is a new beginning for me. A new chapter in the life of Chris Cyrus. And Chapter one will end with Chris Cyrus sending both James Chambers and The Gambler STRAIGHT TO HELL!
Chris turns off the web cam and the scene goes to black.
