During the Christmas break, President Jeff has been in meetings with the APW board of directors and we've just learned today that for the first time in APW, the name of a PPV will be change.
APW's very first show was a Pay Per View called, New Years Retribution, it was that event where the very first APW Heavyweight Champion was crowned. In the past 2 years, New Years Retribution featured a match called, The Survive and Conquer match. A Match that begins as a Royal Rumble, then changes to a cage match, then street fight, then finally a Hell in a Hell ladder match.
Last year, The Survive and Conquer match featured 40 wrestlers from federations all over. Over 15 federations we're represented with the winner getting $500,000.
This year, that match returns, and to show the importance of this match, The New Years Retribution PPV name will be changed to
Survive and Conquer.
We also learned that this years Survive and Conquer PPV will take place on January 30th from Las Vegas Nevada. APW's first show in Las Vegas in over 2 years. And as last year, The Survive and Conquer match will be open for anyone in other federations to take part in.
We got word with President Jeff regarding this match and he said "The Survive and Conquer match is a match creation I am very proud of. Its unique, its exciting for the fans. And early this year, this match help kick start APW's popularity. And expect an official press release regarding Survive and Conquer in the next couple days."
