The scene opens up in with Chris Cyrus sitting at a Computer. He has a webcam set up on top of his monitor and is adjusting it so its pointing directly on him. He hits record on the computer screen and begins his promo.
Chris: Well this sucks. I should be sitting here right now as the IWC Insane Champion. I was Robbed at Massacre on 34th Street. But I’ll give Jimmy Chambers credit, he got the best of me that night. I’m not happy about it. It was my goal to end 2010 as the Insane Champion and that didn’t happen, so now, I’m put in a one night tournament to crown the first Tap Out Champion. And the twist about this tournament, all matches are Pure Wrestling match that must be won by submission. My kind of wrestling. This is what IWC should be all about, pure wrestling, not that garbage insane stuff. It is still my goal to in the Insane Champion and clean up IWC, but, that doesn’t mean I’m going to walk away from any other title opportunity.
So for this tournament, I’m told that my first opponent will be the Supersonic himself, Branden Harvey. A young rookie who’s making a name for himself. Won two awards at the APW Year End Awards. He must think he’s on top of the world. But guess what Branden, your still nothing and a nobody. See Branden, I was in your position not that long ago. I was a young kid excited to be a wrestler, and just like you, I was going with the flow and just having fun. But there comes a time Branden when you ask yourself just what you want to be remembered for. You need to grab your opportunity by the balls and really make something of yourself. You have a chance in the Tap Out tournament. Actually, you stand no chance in hell in this tap out tournament. For 2 reasons. One, your first opponent is me. And two, your what, a hundred pounds soaked wet. You like five foot whatever. I’m bigger than you, I’m stronger than you. And do you even have a submission move in your move set? What makes you think Branden that you can make me tap out. A scrawny punk like yourself. You got nothing on me kid. I’m not going to submit to you, no chance in hell. You know what that could do to my reputation if you made me submit. But even worse, I lose to Branden Harvey, it pretty much guarantee’s me out of another shot at the Insane Championship. You may as well just save both of us the trouble and as soon as that bell rings, just quit right then and there. Save yourself a beating and embarrassment. And you know something Branden, if you want to know why I’m so confidences against you. Its because look at how long you held the APW Xtreme Title for and then look at how long I held it. That alone makes me better than you kid. But don’t feel bad about losing to me Branden, that doesn’t put you on Jason Royce status because your still better than him.
Now I want to run down the list of possible opponents for the semi finals and the finals. With eight of us in this match, any one of us could win, and quite frankly, looking at who we have in this tournament, I’m liking my chances. Lets talk about The Hardcore Princess, Kristina Blackwell. I remember when APW first opened and Kristina Blackwell was one of the most Hardcoreist Motherfuckers that I’ve ever seen. But look at her now. She’s a nobody. Coming back to IWC, she hasn’t made any sort of impact. Kristina is a has been and a nobody now. Hot as fuck, but still just a spot filler on the card. But its not her fault though. She’s a Blackwell, it runs in her blood to have one moment on top of the world and follow it up with countless number of failed comebacks. Do I care, not really, just one less person in my way to the top. Kristina, your days in the spotlight is over. Your just like a prostitute. You had a few good years in ya, but now, your just yesterdays news. Your all used up and worthless now. But like Branden, you can’t make me submit. Your women for crying out loud Your half my size. Women, if you some how fight me in this tournament, then its because of a fluke, because I’ll be breaking you in half and making my bitch.
Which takes me to Kristina’s first round opponent, Bobby Bodacious. Finally someone who could be a challenge. Bobby and I are about the same size and he does have a few submission moves, but that’s not good enough for me him make me submit. Because for the past year and a half, I’ve been training my pure wrestling skills, I’ve been working on my ground wrestling and counters. And you’ve seen it in my matches that involve Hardcore rules. I see it as more effective than using a weapon. Bobby, you’re a smart guy, you’ve done well for yourself outside the wrestling business, So it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that in this tournament, Chris Cyrus is the man to beat. You had a chance to win the Suicidal Title at Massacre on 34th Street, and you couldn’t even win that, and you think you can beat someone who was so close to winning the top prize in IWC. Lets not fool ourselves here Bobby. You might think you want the Tap Out title, but I want it more and that’s all there is to it.
And then there’s another woman in the match. “The Libertine” Delilah. When I first saw her, I was excited. Not because of her wrestling, but because of extra eye candy. But lately, Delilah has been a disappointment. I heard all this hype about her and she’s been nothing but a flop. And if we meet in this tournament, I’m gonna do that same thing I did to her at the supershow and that’s beat her and crush any of her dreams of holding a championship. But just like Kristina Blackwell, Delilah is half my size. There’s no way she’s making me quit and that’s all there is to it. There’s not much to say about Delilah other than that, I’ll be surprise if she can beat Anthony James in the opening round. If she does, I may be in trouble, but to be honest with you, I don’t see that happening.
And speaking of Anthony James, We could be facing each other in the semi finals. And you may think he has a chance of winning, but honestly, he doesn’t. Anthony doesn’t deserve to be in this tournament. Because you see, Anthony, he’s a high flyer. That’s all fine and dandy for maybe the Suicidal or Insane Title, but this is for the Tap Out Championship. Jumping off the ropes and doing all these fancy flips isn’t going to make me submit. Anthony better have a good game plan if he plans on beat me. Anthony has nothing on me. His first two shows in IWC, he gets title opportunities, but it ends there. If we meet in this tournament Anthony, I will make you scream, I will make you cry and I will make you beg for mercy. Anthony, your no more of a threat than Kristina or Delilah and I can promise you, that your not winning the Tap Out Title
Then there’s Damian Dimitri, the Barbwire Buzzsaw. More like, The Overrates loser. I can’t blame him for his career. I mean, your career stands no chance when your trained and mentors by Trevor Blackwell. The Kid never stood a chance. But this is supposedly the Title Damian wants to win. This is the title he’s been gunning for since the rebirth of IWC. But here’s the problem, Damian, he’s not that good. He may have a bunch of submission holds in his move set, he may be trained as a technical wrestler, but at the end of the day, this is still a pure wrestling match, and seeing who trained you, there’s no way in hell you can get though a match like this with out using a weapon. Damian hasn’t done anything in APW or IWC to make him an unstoppable force. Damian failed in everything he’s attempted so far in the ring. His run in APW Failed twice. And then so far in IWC, he’s been nothing but a disappointment. And as long as he associates himself with Blackwell’s, then he will continue to be a failure. List to me kid, from what I’ve seen and heard, The name Blackwell is cancer, get away while your still young.
And Last but not least, we have Madok Mortalis. Just like Anthony James, You’re a high flyer, you rely on your speed and not your technical skills. That is and will be your downfall. Your smaller than me and I don’t think you even know how to apply a submission hold. But, you and Pence Weatherlight are close, I’m sure Pence will show you a few submission holds, but, its not going to be enough. Two weeks of training submission holds means nothing when your going against someone who’s been training it for the past year and a half. Madok, you came close to getting into the Insane Title match at the Supershow, but you feel just a little short and the same thing is going to happen at Asylum. You might get close, but Chris Cyrus is going to be there to make sure that’s as far as you get.
So at Asylum, I’m going to do everything I can to win. First I’m going to destroy Branden Harvey and not only make an example out of him, but give him a wrestling lesson. And then who ever else I have to go through, I just feel sorry for you because Chris Cyrus is a man on a mission and my sights are set on the Tap Out Title. There’s no stopping me. I came so close to winning the Insane Title that I’m not going to let this title slip away from me. At the end of the night, I will be the first IWC Tap Out Champion, and you know why, its because I’m simply awesome.
And one more thing, Jimmy Chambers, after I win the Tap Out Title, I’m coming after you and that Insane Title. Don’t think you heard the last of me boy. You got lucky at the super show, I underestimated you a little and it cost me. But its only a matter of time before we meet again for that belt and I take it from you. Believe Jimmy, Believe it.
