APW Asylum was only hours away and the arena was buzzing in anticipation for the huge event. The Test for the Best Qualifiers were going down and a lot was on the line for everyone involved from Shane Borderland to Blade to Isamu Suzuki and even to Roxy Rayner. Roxy had been preparing hard for the match, knowing that if she could win it that she would be on her way to the top. She knew that it was only going to take three seconds for her to move on in this Test for the Best but it would only take three seconds for her to loss it all too. It was a chance of a lifetime and since it was only her second match even the pessimistic Roxy knew how much it all meant. All her hard work had been building up to a chance like this and she couldn't blow it.
Roxy was standing behind the curtain, bouncing on her heels as she heard the crowd in the arena all cheering and buzzing as something went down on the ring. She was scheduled for a promo out in the ring and she could think of quite a few things to say about her opponent and what was about to go down in that ring later that night. The lights in the arena then dimmed as "Pretty as a ($)" by Marilyn Manson blasts throughout the arena. The crowd has a mixed reaction she could hear. They didn't know what to make of her but Roxy had a feeling she could get them against her. She had no love for the fans or cared what they thought. They were just mindless sheep who paid her bills. Roxy grabbed a microphone off a table and headed through the curtain. She didn't need to even go down to the ring she realized as she stepped out on the stage, flipping off the crowd as she glared at them in disgust.
ROXY RAYNER: Shut your fucking mouths and listen for a change.
The crowd now was fully against her and Roxy smirked a bit as the hate washed over her. She could see kids and families in the crowd but she wasn't concerned about her language or what was said. She raised the microphone back up as the crowd began to chill a bit.
ROXY RAYNER: I told you to shut up and you better do it or else I'll stand out here all damn night. Now tonight is a special night. It is the Test for the Best Qualifier where I face off against your precious little hero, Isamu Suzuki… You can cheer all you want at the mention of his name too because he ain't coming out here. No, he is probably in the back watching this right now and he is realizing that this match isn't going to be good clean fun like he expected. He is realizing that when he steps foot inside that ring tonight he's going to be in for the fight of his life. He'll be inside the ring with a fuckin' monster and I'm not going to back down until I smell his blood. He might of been here before me and he might have the crowd on his side but those things are meaningless. You stupid fans can't save him from his fate. Nothing can. Once that bell rings for the next five to twenty minutes Suzuki is in my world. There won't be any hope or saving him from the pain and suffering he is going to be put through. As soon as that bell ring Suzuki's mind, body and soul will belong to me.
Now I'm guessing that Suzuki is in the back thinking that I'm not too scary. I'm just some skinny little bitch who talks a lot of trash. Well Rachel Cole thought that too and now she doesn't even work in this company after I finished with her. No, Suzuki, I'm something different from what you've faced before. I'm something a bit more twisted and fucked up. This match isn't for the fans or for money even for me. It is about proving that idiots like you who play up to the crowd and act like they matter are nothing compared to me. This is what I want you to do though Suzuki. I want you to get up before our match and walk to the mirror in your locker room. Then I want you to lean forward and stare into your own eyes. I'm sure you'll see a fire inside of you that burns bright to keep you going in this business. I'm sure you'll see all your hopes and your dreams reflect back at you. That is what I want you to see because then when we get in the ring together I want you to walk right up to me and look into my eyes. Keep in mind everything you saw in yourself and realize there is none of that in me. There is no fire, there is no dreams and there is no compassion or mercy either. All you are going to see in my eyes is pain and that is what I'm going to make you feel. All that hope and all that passion inside you will burn away when you look into my cold dead eyes. At that moment you will realize just how much trouble you are in exactly, Suzuki.
The crowd was still screaming, hating the fact that Roxy was trash talking one of their favorites on Asylum. She scowled out at the fans, getting a bit annoyed by the very fact that they were interrupting her as she spoke.
ROXY RAYNER: I hear you are the Suicidal Champion too, Suzuki. You have one of the few belts that APW has to offer. Good for you. Too bad you don't have the balls to put that strap on the line during our match. I mean what do you know about Suicide? Have you ever thought about it, Suzuki? Have you ever put a knife against your wrist just to watch the blood push out from under your skin? Have you ever swallowed some pills and follow it up with some Jack in hopes that you won't have to deal with life anymore? Have you ever been to the bottom Suzuki? I have a feeling you haven't and therefore you don't belong as any kind of Suicidal Championship. I embody a title like that while you mock it. Too bad that belt isn't on the line because I would gladly take it from you and bring it home. You don't deserve it. You don't deserve anything you have.
Then there is your manager who helps you out. You need help, Suzuki? You need someone to hold your hand while you piss too? Are you that pathetic? Because I signed up for Asylum I figured I would be facing grown ass men and women not some punk ass bitch who has to have someone else do their dirty work for them. Bring him down to the ring for all I care though and let him try to stop me from hurting you. I'll gladly slap him around too and put him in his place. Bring anyone you want down to the ring in fact because I would enjoy humiliating you in front of the people you care even more then I'll enjoy beating you in front of these morons from Baltimore.
Once more the crowd voiced their dislike for Roxy and she just kept scowling at them. She really had no love for the fans and didn’t care what they thought. They all seemed like lost souls to her who just did whatever they were told.
ROXY RAYNER: So Suzuki in a few short hours it’ll be just you and me. These people won’t matter, your trainer won’t matter, your title won’t matter and nothing else will either. Once you are in the ring with me I am the only thing that will matter in your world. I am the only thing that you should be thinking about. Don’t worry about the Test for the Best either because you won’t be apart of that. I’m going to end you Suzuki and I’m going to enjoy doing it. I don’t enjoy many things in life but I do find pleasure in pain. Your suffering will make me smile so at least after I beat your ass you can be happy that you did bring some joy to someone. Asylum is my night and my night alone. Your blood will flow, your dreams will be destroyed and when it is all said in done you’ll either be tapping out or I’ll be lying over you. There is no escaping fate, Suzuki.
With that “Pretty As A ($)” started to play once more as the whole arena was now booing at Roxy and her hate for one of the fan favorites, Isamu Suzuki. Roxy dropped the microphone on the stage, staring at the fans with a dead look on her face before she turned around. Rayner pushed through the curtain, heading into the backstage area once again with the sound of the fans hate and some of the fans even chanting Isamu Suzuki’s name in hopes that he would come out and give them hope that Roxy was full of it.
PRODUCTION MANAGER: Hey Roxy!
She turned as she saw one of the production managers heading her way with some kid. Roxy didn’t like kids and she didn’t like people bothering her either.
ROXY RAYNER: What?
PRODUCTION MANAGER: This is Johnny. He won a contest on the radio to come backstage and meet all of the Megastars. He said he wanted to say hello to you after your promo. He is a big fan.
ROXY RAYNER: And your point is?
PRODUCTION MANAGER: I was just letting you know so you could sign his autograph and chat with him for a bit.
ROXY RAYNER: Fuck that. This kid won a damn contest? Good for him. I never won no fucking contest growing up and if I did I wouldn’t’ of been allowed to do it. This kid is lucky enough as it is and I don’t have time for any charity.
JOHNNY: Miss Roxy. Could you please sign my program? I liked your first match a lot and I think you’ll be a big star.
ROXY RAYNER: Shut up, kid. I don’t have time for this bullshit. I have a match to win. Just remember this kid. You enjoy these special little moments in life and you enjoy everything you have because it can all go away in a second. Life sucks and if you don’t try to fight back you’ll end up in a gutter with a needle in your arm. Now get outta my damn face. I have a match to win.
Roxy turned, leaving the kid standing there a bit shocked after her little rant on him. She headed through the hallway back towards her locker room. No kid was going to get her autograph and she hoped that kid was disappointed. She hoped he was going to learn a damn lesson that he won’t always get what you want especially just be asking for it. No, in Roxy’s mind you have to take what you want by any means necessary and that some principal was going to apply to Asylum and the Test for the Best. She needed to beat Suzuki and move on by any means necessary.
