[The scene opens outside a busy street. It looks like Sally and Nathaniel Havok have made their way out of their hotel, and decided to take a stroll. With the recent discoveries made by Ms. Sally Talfourd, she had decided to give Nathaniel some insight. Nathaniel however, isn‘t too keen on the idea.]
Havok: Are you kidding me, Sally? Give me a fucking break, here! I’m just tired, that’s all.
Sally: Nathaniel, just hear me out! I’m not trying to insult you, and I’m not trying to intrude on your personal life! I’m just trying to know more about you. This ‘Black Magic’ that you’re into, is it real? Is that really you?
Havok: Sally, it’s better for you to know just as little as possible. I don’t want you to get caught up in…
Sally: In what? Your dreams? I thought I was already there.
[Nathaniel stops walking immediately, causing Sally to get ahead. Sally turns to see Nathaniel standing still in his tracks, looking at her with a confused look on his face. Sally walks back over to Nathaniel and stands beside him, leaning against a light post.]
Sally: What? Something I said?
Havok: No, nothing. Let’s go.
[Nathaniel tries to walk away, but Sally wont let him. She stops him by putting her hand on his shoulder.]
Sally: Nathaniel, please hear me out.
Havok: Fine, go for it.
Sally: Over the past couple weeks, I’d like to think that we’re a bit more than just tag team partners. I think of you as a friend. However, if you’re going to be my partner, I need to know who you really are. I’ve noticed over the past couple of weeks that you seem to be having trouble sleeping. Is that correct?
Havok: Like I said, I’m just exhausted.
Sally: No, no you’re not! You know better than that, Nathaniel!
Havok: Say’s who? You? I didn’t know you had your PHD, Sally! Where’d you get it from? EBay?
Sally: First of all, I don’t shop on EBay! Second, remember who’s had to come to your aid countless times now, because you were having a bad dream.
Havok: Stop it! That’s not funny!
Sally: Hit a soft spot did I?
Havok: You know what, just leave me alone. Forget we ever had this conversation.
[Nathaniel tries to walk away but yet again, Sally stops him with a hand on his shoulder.]
Sally: I may not be a doctor, Nathaniel. However, I do have connections.
[Nathaniel scoffs and rolls his eyes.]
Sally: Listen, just listen to me! She’s a great psychiatrist, and she can help you!
Havok: So basically you’re telling me that my life is nothing but a dream? Sally, this isn’t row your boat time! My way of life could never be understood by someone like you, never! Therefore, I keep it away from you to avoid bullshit like this! Leave me alone, Sally!
[Nathaniel shoves Sally’s arm away, speed walking down the street as Sally watches him walk away.]
Sally: When’s the last time you saw Cole?
[Nathaniel stops dead in his tracks, and turns around. This time, he looks pissed. He power walks back up to Sally and stand back beside her.]
Havok: Why? Why do you want to know?
Sally: Just out of curiosity. This man that you call your lawyer, when’s the last time that you saw him.
Havok: The other night.
Sally: At the airport?
Havok: Maybe, what’s it to you?
Sally: Nathaniel, I can tell you’re in denial.
Havok: What in the hell do you mean?
Sally: Nathaniel, this is all in your head. Always has been, and always will be. It’s taken you over, made you think that this is your reality. Nathaniel, you know as well as I do that you have no magical powers. There are no demons, no witches, nothing of the sorts! This is all in your head, and you need to get it taken care of.
Havok: How do you figure? You act like you know about me. You have no clue.
Sally: I know what I see, Nathaniel! And I see what this is doing to you! After years and years of living these dreams, don’t you think it’s time to move on? Get your mind right, and get back on track? It might have helped you in the past, given you a sense of purpose or whatever. However, it’s crippling you these days. It’s time to get your issues worked out, and I know just how.
Havok: Okay Sally, let’s say that you’re right. I’m not saying that you are, but what would you suggest.
Sally: I took the liberty of calling in a favor, from a good personal friend of mine. She’s ready to take you under her wing, and help you make all of this right.
[The scene fades as the two continue their conversation.]
