To Big Heavy it was just taking in some Indy Japanese Show to pass the time. To Jason Kash it was a way a means to an end and he was going to do what needed to be done. Everything was going as planned until the Main Event of the Event took place and Kash found himself mesmerized by one of the younger talents inside the ring. The kid flew across the ring in ways that Kash hadn't seen in Pro Wrestling. A very unique style if he had ever seen one in his 10 years in the business. It wasn't that he was technically sound or even crisp with the basic stuff but the way he moved, the way he glided around the ring just caught Kash off guard. He didn't expect to find such a talent in these low budget Japanese Show and this kid wasn't even Japanese.
From the kid's name he was Mexican as "Kidd Reyes" was what the announcer had called him. After the match, Kash signaled for Big Heavy to follow him towards the backstage locker rooms. A big locker room where everyone including staff huddled together with lockers and a desk where the Promoter sat without any privacy. Kash stepped into the locker room and started over towards the Promoter but he had someone at his desk. This Kidd Reyes guy was arguing with the Promoter over money and Kash couldn't help but listen in. Reyes spoke perfect english without a trace of an accent at all of any Nationality. The Promoter though had broken english but was still clear enough to understand.
::Kidd Reyes::
I don't care, I was promised 11,505.1 Yen for this show! This is only 5,369.08 and it's not what we argreed too!!
::Promoter::
I don carah..I juss pay you that be happy! Get out my face!
::Kidd Reyes::
This is some bullcrap! Whats this going to do for me huh? I have nowhere to go...CRAP!
The kid spins around and heads past Kash and Big Heavy but stops and recognizes Kash as the two lock eyes. Kash nods and steps aside to give the kid room to pass. The Promoter gets up from behind his desk and smiles as Kash turns back towards him and steps over to shake the man's hand. Big Heavy comes up behind Kash and Kash steps aside and pats Big Heavy on the back shoulder as if introducing the two men.
::Promoter::
This guy is Monster!! Roar! Haha! I Love it! Scary Big!! GOJILLA! Haha!!
::Jason Kash::
Big, you sit and talk to this man. He'll take care of you!
::Big Heavy::
What's dis bout Boss?
::Jason Kash::
Sit tight big man, you'll be alright. They love big dudes like you, trust me! I'll be..yeah...
Kash leaves the scene quickly and Big Heavy looks confused. The Promoter pulls out a folder and as soon as it opens, Big Heavy begins to understand the whole situation. Kash had gotten him to sign a contract and it just now is clicking for Big Heavy that the contract wasn't for APW. Kash leaves the locker room and heads down the hallway with Big Heavy behind him, out of his hair, out of his part of the world. Kash just didn't trust him, he lost his chance for trust when he filmed training sessions Kash had been doing. Big son of a bitch might have got all retard strong on Kash if he tried attacking him again so he went the route of tricking the dumb ton of bricks and it worked.
Kash turns the corner and spots Kidd Reyes doing Capoeira Dancing. Kash remembers one of his favorite movies during the early 90s was "Only The Strong" and to see someone adapt that dance style martial arts into the Wrestling Ring was just breath taking and Kash slowly approaches the kid called Reyes. Reyes does a hand spring side flip and bounces quickly into a backflip before standing up tall. He wasn't no taller than 5 foot 9 and was tiny but moved fast and cut his kicks like a sharpe blade. Kash sticks out a hand to introduce himself and Reyes grabs it and shakes it.
::Kidd Reyes::
Jason Freaking Kash! Never a name I thought I'd see in person over in Japan. I watched you during you days as X-Division Champion in Total Carnage Wrestling. That Taipei Deathmatch against Ryan Wisler was disgustingly nice!
::Jason Kash::
Wow, a fan? I have to say after watching your match tonight. I'm impressed myself by your performance! Not too often you see Capoeira in this business..
::Kidd Reyes::
I'd prefer to call it Monkey Style cause I take Capoeira and put my own FUNK on it! I love Monkeys...
::Jason Kash::
Monkeys? Like Ohhh Ohhh Monkeys?
::Kidd Reyes::
Yeah man, Chimpanzees or Apes! I started wrestling as Kidd Monkey but I want to get more training before I give the monkey name some love! I was suppose to be here in Japan FOR training but that training was just doing these low nothing shows with 40 people tops. Not to mention I've been duped out of my rightful pay!!
::Jason Kash::
Yeah...being "Duped" sucks! Heh, listen man what are you short on pay? You said what 11 thousand in Yen so that's what? 150 bucks? Here, I have 200 hundred to add to your 70 dollars in Yen. Do me a favor, come hang out for a bit. I can get you tickets to the APW Pay-Per-View?
::Kidd Reyes::
No bull? Man, I'm okay with that! Yo, could you get me a tryout with APW? That would be ill!
::Jason Kash::
Hahaha! You sure don't beat around the bush none...Listen, I can get you training. Come watch the PPV and then head back to the states and come down to Houston and we'll see about getting you Housed and situated for proper training. THEN we can talk about APW, sound good to you?
::Kidd Reyes::
Housed? You'd get my into my own place? Never thought I'd have my own place at 22 years old! Wait a minute...Jason Kash isn't known to go out of his way for people, whats the catch?
::Jason Kash::
None. Loyalty is something I haven't seen too much from, trust and truth are a big deal to me. This way if you ever think to do me wrong, turn your back on me, side with someone against me, FUCK me over...I won't feel so bad about going to prison for murdering someone in my place of business. If you can do those few small things than the rest will be a cake walk. I've always wanted a Protege!
::Kidd Reyes::
Like Batman and Robin!!
::Jason Kash::
NO!! Let's not give people a reason to think of this as a Gay Thing. I'm not gay and if you are, I'd like to know now actually...I don't roll with queers, not hating, don't dislike, just don't hang with them myself. Are you gay?
::Kidd Reyes::
I'm not gay! I'm....well, I'm a virgin...
::Jason Kash::
Fucking Christ Almighty! I discovered the Polar Opposite of me!
The scene fades out as Kash and his potentially new Protege, Kidd Reyes leave the building and head out on the town while the day is still young. The cameras cut back to the locker room to see Big Heavy holding open a large plastic bag filled with Spray Cheese cans and his face is brightly lit up. He shakes the Promoters hand and accepts his new role as something important somewhere.
