Now i know we all think we can book better than the boss, when really we probably can’t. However, we can try, so i am going to do a patch update for EWR 4.0 (old school booking sim) which i have updated up to last year, so with minor adjustments, its will be up and running. As for the roster, so you guys can be represented properly, just fill out the application form, and in a week or two the patch could be done.
Full Name: example = Matt Metal Short Name: example = Metal Gender: Male or Female Age: Birth Month: Weight: Heavyweight or Lightweight Speaks: Yes or No Nationality: American, Canadian, British or Mexican Finisher 1: (your finisher) Finisher 2: Type of Finisher : Impact, Ground, Submission, Top Rope, Top rope standing, corner. So as an example, Nu Metal would be impact, along with say the full throttle. Gimmick: (Just give me an idea, hardcore, rebel, gay clown whatever...) Disposition: Heel, Tweener or Face. Style – Speed (High Flyer) Technical or Brawler (Hardcore based). Just choose one to specialise in.
Then any relationships you have. Examples like... Wrestler is friends/Loves/Hates/Blood Relative with Wrestler 2 So... Trevor Loves Metal.
Holla Back and I’ll get updating the patch, and any pointer just hit me with ‘em.
if not, then you got to take Trevor out to dinner....

I'm an old EWR mark so this sounds pretty cool. I actually did this once on the old laptop.
Full Name: 'Spirit' Tara Jacobs Short Name: STJ Gender: Female Age: 20 Birth Month: July Weight: Lightweight Speaks: Yes Nationality: British Finisher 1: Supernova (Top rope) Finisher 2: Desecrated Grave (Impact) Gimmick: Daredevil Disposition: Tweener Style – Speed
Not mentioned, but STJ would have high ratings for stiff, selling, a slightly lesser rank for charisma, above half in attitude and behaviour and would have high spots, announcer and maybe trainer ticked. I'd think that she would be fairly over as well.
Stable: Church of Kaos Team: That Team (with Diana Steel)
Diana Steel - Blood Relative (should be friends but that doesn't really do them justice) Martin J. Singer (If he's in) - Respect* Sara Jacobs (If she's in) Blood relative* Trevor Blackwell - Loyalty (I know...despite the fact that she can't seem to stay in one of his stables...) Hurricane Jeff - Loyalty Kenny Lambardo - Friend Matt Metal - Loyalty
*I can always add them myself, just thought they were worth mentioning since they were old WWC types.
Full Name: Victor Brander Short Name: Victor Gender: Male Age: 24 Birth Month: November Weight: Heavyweight Speaks: Yes Nationality: American Finisher 1: Sharpshooter (Submission) Gimmick: No Gimmick Needed Disposition: Face Style – Technical
As I did this for STJ, medium stiffness, high selling, above average charisma. High attitude and behaviour, shooting ability, announcer and trainer ticked. He's new, so not much for over.
For the benefit of others, there are tick boxes in worker statistics. They are: High spots, superstar look, announcer, shooting ability, diva, booker, fonz (cool) factor, menacing and trainer.

Full Name: Justin Job Short Name: Justin Gender: Male Age: 24 Birth Month: September Weight: Light Weight Speaks: Yes Nationality: Canadian Finisher 1: Un-employed (Impact) Finisher 2: (lol, I honestly need to check) (High-Flyer) Gimmick: Comedy Disposition: Face Style – High Flying
Justin Job hates Kenny Lombardo, Diana Steel, and anything romotely Church Of Kao's
Full Name: Gilbert Job Worthy Short Name: Gilbert Gender: Male Age: 31 Birth Month: October Weight: Light Weight Speaks: Yes (Can, but very limited) Nationality: Canadian Finisher 1: Hired! (It's a spear, so, uh, running?) Finisher 2: Again, Memory shot. I'll have to check this out Gimmick: Comedy Disposition: Face Style- Technical
Hates: Nobody

The only time I ever used EWR was for CWF and used its results for my results which came in handy when I ran 3 shows a week. Looking back, CWF looks pretty crappy compared to APW

Justin, the relationships thing are out of character relationships which is why STJ's looks a little weird, it raises morale if someone you like is signed and they'll be very bitchy about losing to someone that they hate with a passion (and will bring up a bitchy moan if you even offer them a contract.
Zeus Pro (I think) was better for doing results but it took a lot of work to set up and it was purely for running a fed, not the whole competition thing you have with EWR. Still, it was a heck of a lot more versatile once you had the work done.
Gameplay and competition, you go EWR, flexibility for actually doing a fed Zeus Pro.

I download zeus pro once for a fed, put in some stats of people and when tired to do results, the programe kept crashing

That never happened for me, though I do remember ten or so straight lines of the guys getting into and out of the ring or something like that. I think Zeus Pro would have been useful to shorten the time taken to write matches if the writer were willing to tidy the finished article up.

EWR to start with is fun, because back in 2003 you hand fun jobbing Jewberg, but it get's really fun when you start your own fed, or start from a scenario... best one i had was wwf starting jan 1998, got to march 99 and everyone was basically 100 over...
Oh and CWF results 5 years ago owned, not now....

I was addicted myself, I generally take the reins of ROH, CW Anderson and Raven in a feud owned.
The bugger was that WWE kept breaking up my tag champs, I ended up disbanding the titles after the fifth time in as many tries at getting a team to have a run.
Where do you put scenarios in the EWR directory to play them?

All you do is just add a new data file, but before playing the game... change your date and time to match the era.
so for 1998, you change your dates to match, etc...
might have some on my old PC, may upload them given the chance, even an old CWF one Jeff did, and maybe a WWC one, i will have to look.

n00b...
once you have imputted the data file, just go to the date and time setting, and change them to one month before you want the scenario to start.
example you want to start just before wrestlemania 1999, so you set your date to feb 1999, and it will start in march 1999...

EWR is a game that has you in control your favourite company and competing against the other companies for talent, money and ratings. There is a file editor that allows you to add in wrestlers and companies and that is what Matt is talking about. Matt, don't forget that a new game starts the month after the month on your clock, so if you want to start in March, your clock needs to be set for February. You can download it from here - www.ewbattleground.com/

Thanks for clearing that up for a dirt bag noob like myself, the JESUS sometimes doesn't fool around with menial things like games, unless it's a game of pretending to be a wrestler in a pretend federation, and in a make belive match, kick the shit out of a Jobber and leave with his title then the JESUS is all in, anyways thanks Spirit and Metal for setting me straight.

If anyone plays EWR, this is the updated rosters with added federations as the start of May - www.savefile.com/files/1533641 - Just replace the data folder or if you want to keep the original, move the files in the data folder currently into a new folder
