Heralded by some as the last truly good Playstation 2 game, Persona 4 cemented Atlus's place in gaming's mainstream and allowed for a preposterous expansion of Atlus's operations, creating the hit Catherine, about ninety ports of their older Shin Megami Tensei games, and introducing Americans to themes and myths they might otherwise have gone their whole lives without hearing about, let alone exploring.
Now you guys get to jump into the action.
October has turned into November, one of the coldest and dreariest on record in the small town of Inaba. A serial murder case rocked the rural community earlier in the year, but a suspect was named, found, and convicted of three murders. On the surface, the town has receded, calming back down into the same routines it has followed year after year. But a sinister air still lurks above the town, oppressing the town like a dense, never-lifting fog.
A group of seven teenagers and a strange bear thingy have banded together to stop the serial killer from striking again, believing they are the only ones who can stop him from throwing people into the TV. But even with the power of Persona and the ability to rescue those abandoned to the alternate dimension, do they have what it takes to thwart the killer for good?

I dunno about that. You certainly know a lot about Persona 4...but the question is, do you know a lot about mafia?
More importantly, would you never ask me anything to do with the mafia as we're sitting around in the living room? I'm more concerned with the unfair mafia advantage you'd have living in the same house as me.
Also, if that's the case then we're even from Saw mafia. The sum total of what I knew from Saw before hand was "Thinly veiled frame story, PEOPLE FUCKING DIE."

..why do you think I'm so sure I'd break the game? xD
One of these days, you need to sit out a Mafia game so I can give it a whirl.
Butthead.

I actually haven't seen that playthrough. Apparently it's supposed to be hilarious, but I can never get around to devoting enough time to even make a dent in it.
That aside, things seem to be progressing nicely. Keep it coming, guys.

I am impressed. This thread has been up about thirty hours and I already have eight players. I'm looking for at least five more, but more is always better. The faster we get filled up, the faster we can start, so if you're on the fence on whether to join, don't be. If you're worried about doing badly because it's your first game, don't; it's my first game modding, so we're on even ground.
Besides, it can't be that bad. You get to play with the mafia player of the year, and you WON'T be playing with Branden. (Yes, that WAS for you, Jeff. How did you know?)

Well I'll be glad to have you. As a note, if anyone else who wandered in and signed up for the Survive and Conquer match is a mafia player, they are welcome to play as well. Some new blood will make the game that much more interesting, I think.

If you mean Persona 4, don't worry; I'm putting a lot of work into the flavor, but the game will still operate like a standard mafia affair, and you will be able to ignore the flavor if you so choose.
If you mean mafia, again, don't worry. APW has one of the most easy going mafia scenes I've seen, and the players will help you get the hang of the game.
Either way, good to have you.

Groovy. That's the target 13 I was shooting for, but I'm going to go ahead and leave sign-ups open until the 4th, because I would love to have more people sign-up. The more the merrier.
