I never know how close I'm coming to role-claiming when it comes to revealing information. I know that when I use one of my night actions on someone, that their alignment will 'rub off' (in a sense) onto me until I use the night action on someone else. I last used it on Callahan in the effort to do precisely this, though Bacon's impromptu death didn't give me much of a chance to explain this idea before the night phase. wat about nite 1? any info?

Knuckles, I'll stop being a ''lil'' defensive as soon as you stop being passive aggressive.
Nonetheless, if Jeff is the person you roleblocked than I assume this is also the person whom you've claimed to be the godfather, correct?
As far as Sally is concerned from what I think she's trying to say that if she uses her role on someone guilty, when she's investigated she'll come up guilty. If she uses her power on someone innocent and she's investigated she'll come up innocent.
If not, then I'm confused as fuck.

I received the same unsuccessful note as others did against Callahan. There isn't any way we were all role blocked, I'm assuming it has something to do with Callahan's role. Whatever it is, it can't be good for the town.
Vote Callahan

I don't want to vote for anyone just yet, cause theres still a few players that have yet to check in on this day phase and who knows, maybe one of them has info. But if by morning we don't have any new leads, I'll be happy to vote against Callahan

Callahan is number one on my suspects lists but I'd like to hear see if anyone has anything else before doing anything.

“You're the new face of the department, Phelps - the modern cop who tries to understand why the perp does what he does. Me, I just drop the hammer down on the lowlifes. You crunch a roach under your heel, you don't worry about what it's feeling, you just grind it into the pavement."- Rusty Galloway Vote Count: Callahan - 4 (Blade, Kaji, Knuckles, Rebel) Day 3 will end at 5 PM EST on March 13th (68 hours). With 14 alive, you need 8 votes for a lynch.

If she uses her power on someone innocent and she's investigated she'll come up innocent. Yes. wat about nite 1? any info? I worked on the assumption that everyone would be investigation themselves for insanity. If I did something to someone Night 1 and then Night 2, and someone investigated me Night 2, we would have no way of knowing what the alignment of the person I did something to on Night 1 was. I could have skipped any action Night 2 and asked for an investigation for Night 2 to find out what the alignment was of the person from Night 1 was. But either way, I would have had to skip a night action in a sense to play this for all that it's worth. This time, I went to Callahan and that's what's actually got everyone misreadings.

I can confirm I was doused on night 1, so this arsonist business is more than probable. I would have mentioned it day 1, but Bacon got himself killed before I had finished looking it up on the epic Mafia. What do you mean by 'doused?" I know you did something night one. And I know who you did it to...I just don't know the it and I don't want you to out yourself either....so I'm confused what you mean by doused.

What's Atken been up to? Sleeping mostly.
Anyway, given my role and what I turned up, I'm very reluctant to vote on Callahan because I think I know what his role is right now. Well, let's say I knew his role as of Night 1 but that may not mean he's town or not if we have a recruiter. However, it does mean he was not scum when he was our top suspect.
But what it does mean to me is that he is not a GF. In fact right now, I believe him to be a paranoid cop. This is what I was getting at yesterday as the Callahan bandwagon rolled in strong saying to avoid lynching him, it matches up with his current claim too.

Can I just redraw attention back to Knuckle who claims he has the Godfather pin-pointed. Could we get that resolved at the same time, as I would think that that's something we should be working on too?

Re: Callahan, I have had my suspicions about him like most people after his day 1 behaviour. I wasn't hugely convinced by his defense on day 2, but then Bacon got himself modkilled before anything could be done about it. I'm still not hugely swayed he is not a malevolent agent, but we're getting a lot of contradictory information about him, like a few others I have my eyes firmly on Callahan, but since he hasn't posted in a while I'm going to wait to see if he has something to add something convincing to his defense before I lay down my vote.

Unvote: Callahan
I am willing to trust Sally on this one. She seems certain she has a way around Callahan's uninvestigateability and I will take that at face value.
Now is it just me or are there some people that have been really quiet (Callahan and Bailey come to mind, but I'm sure there are others that haven't checked in yet) that weren't so quiet in past days?

Kaji, that way around it gives us nothing today and may not bring anything up tonight
|
|
|
Post by Kaji Fireson on Mar 11, 2012 12:51:45 GMT -4
That's true...but without it, we still have nothing except three days of Callahan pushing today (and if we couldn't lynch him day one when all our suspicions on him were fresh, how the hell are we going to lynch him today?) and tonight is a crap shoot. This way we at least have a plan for tonight. And if Atken is right about Callahan being paranoid, then he is town. Or started town. With the recruitment, we have NO idea who is town and who isn't, because someone that was town before isn't.

But if we lynch him today, others can formulate a plan for tonight?
it works both ways. But another day without a lynch is just leading us blind. And how do we know night actions will work for sure?
Just incase there is a mafia roleblocker out there, and they block Sally, then what?

Well it seems to me like Sally's action tonight would be to just sit tight and do nothing, so the roleblocker wouldn't be able to do anything; they would have had to block her last night...or I guess the night before?
You are right that another day without a lynch is bad juju...but whoever we lynch, it's almost as bad a crapshoot. If we just had more insight into who the arsonist is, that's the obvious lynch, but we don't.
There is the issue of being uninvestigateable being pretty suspect...
Let's do this. Sally. The way I read it, Callahan was the last person you used your ability on? Is this correct?
If yes, I will sit tight and see how things develop, and if it gets to the point that Callahan is L-1, I will concede. If no, well I'll put the vote back on Callahan since he's the main lead.
While I wait for Sally's response and/or a defense from Callahan, what's the deal with Bailey? I know others have been pretty quiet today, but I don't remember seeing a Bailey post since day one. Did he check in at all on (the admittedly very short) day two? Because if Callahan falls through, that's where I'm looking next.

EBWOP: The reason for me sitting tight if Sally answers yes being that she can sit tight tonight, someone can investigate her, and get Callahan's read. Dunno if I made that clear.

You already voted and took it off.

Reasoning per the Callahan lynch, but also, you said no one visited you last night. I know that to be wrong, and someone did visit you.

I never said no one visited me. I said that IF someone visited me, no one told me about it. It's a subtle, but important difference.
