A long time ago...
****
Our scene opens up in a dark hotel room, signs of life can be found with the clothes and personal belongings scattered around the room. A girl creeps carefully around the room, her eyes focus on the clock, 3am. We now see its Dita Morgan, she’s dressed in low slung hipster jeans, a short white vest top with the hint of a purple bra showing, her bare feet with chipped purple nail polish, her brunette hair messy and falling in her eyes, last nights make up still on her face and she has chipping black polish on her finger nails.
She silently grabs her travel bag and shoes and starts to walk out of the door but stops. She glances at the bed and looks at the figure under the cover. She knows how much he will miss her but she just can’t stay. She hesitates and then grabs a notepad and pencil from the dresser and writes:
She leaves the note on the dressing table, picks up his rental car keys and as quietly as she can she steps out of the room, once outside she pulls on her leopard print heels and her short leather jacket. He bought her this jacket. But she cant think of that now, and she can’t think of the reason she is leaving.
Dita walks towards the lift, slips inside when the doors open and presses the button for the lobby. She leans against the wall and shuts her eyes.
He knew she was going to take a trip back to London soon but thats not why she had to leave the way she did. The real reason? If she stayed longer she would have to admit how she felt. How do you love someone without getting hurt?
The doors open and she walks quickly across the lobby.
She knew she was beneath him, and would be nothing but a disappointment to him because she can’t give him the things he deserves. He would only wined up getting hurt. So she would take a preemptive jump. She can’t be the one he’s living for, so she will save him from the pain now.
Dita walks towards his rental car she pulls the door open and throws her bag on the back seat and takes one last look back at the hotel then gets in the car. As she drive away she already knows she’s doing the wrong thing, she should turn around and go back to that room, rip up the note and act like this didn’t happen. But old habits die hard and she puts her foot down and speeds off.

Shadow,
I know you’ll hate me for doing this but I have to go, I’m only holding you back. I’m a coward for not doing this face to face but you know you’re the only person I can’t stand confrontation with.
You know you will always have a special place in my heart.
But I can’t hold you back anymore you need someone who is right for you. Start living for you. See this as a brand new start, not the end.
I know you will but don’t worry about me, you know I’ll always find you and Slade - I always do.
Always
Dita
