The trailer looked kinda "m'eh" for a movie that I'm sure will rock my tits off.
As someone who didn't read comic books and barely remembers any of the cartoons, Bane just does seem to have as much of a pop culture foothold like the Joker, or even Catwoman does. So, I really don't know shit about him.
Some people think this movie will sell more tickets than the Dark Knight did... I doubt it. The Dark Knight got people out to see it because of morbid curiosity about Heath Ledger more than on how good it actually was. This movie just doesn't seem to have the same buzz.
I just hope it's more Dark Knight and less Batman Begins...

I feel the trailer does not live to the hype. However, as a fan of Bane fromt he comics and the animated series I feel Tom hardy is doing a decent job. It would have been nice to see Bane in one of the older Batman movies. I heard rumor that he was supposed to make an appearance in the "Batman and Friends" movie that came out years back. Sadly that was justa rumorand they had some inbred Jason Voorheers/Hulk offspring walking around.
I just pray the movie is not as long as "The Dark Knight" or if it is, it has more action. Dont get me wrong I love the movie and own it, but its like Watchmen, sometimes the movie just drags on.

Hopefully people who saw the Dark Knight for the reasons you mention loved the movie and will definitely give The Dark Knight Rises a chance. |
