This week Meltdown will be doing a super show for APW featuring the stars that were left off the Mayhem card. One of the stars featured in this event is Assassin who will be in the opening match in a battle royal where the winner gets a title shot of the GM’s choice. So basically if Assassin were to win he would have to wait for President Jeff to announce which title he would go after
There have been there fair share of people who don’t think Assassin will walk out of the super show with a win. Mainly because of the losing streak he has recently been on. Many fans have been questioning weather Assassin should even be on the Overdrive roster prompting some people to believe that there could be a move made if Assassin doesn’t win this week. APW’s Phil caught up with Assassin and had this to report
“So Assassin any truth to the rumors that you might be on your way off Overdrive?”
“Phil there is no truth to those rumors whoever told you that either wants me off the brand or just didn’t get there facts straight.”
“So I’d take that as a no then. Well what about the match I mean it’s for a title shot do you have a preference on which title you’d like a shot at?”
“I could be a dick and say I want a shot at Kurt Noble’s title. But I don’t care which title I get a shot at as long as it’s a shot.”
“Well interesting stance there Assassin. Anything else you want to add?”
Assassin stares at Phil as he starts to crack his knuckles as Phil starts to get nervous as Assassin approaches him. Assassin keeps getting closer to Phil until we see Assassin’s manager walk towards them as she steps in between Assassin & Phil
”Phil I would suggest you go ahead and leave. You’ve seen what my client has done in the ring to well everyone so unless you want to join that list I’d go ahead and take a hike.”
Phil scrambles to gather himself and his equipment as Assassin continues to stare at him while his manager stays in between Assassin & Phil
“He’s crazy you know that right?”
Assassin’s face starts to turn red as his manager looks at Assassin & then quickly back at Phil as she tries to contain Assassin who looks ready to snap
”Phil you better get the hell out of here now. Otherwise I’m not going to be able to save you from my client. And trust me you want me to save you from my client.”
Phil takes one more look at Assassin before looking at Assassin’s manager taking her cue as he scurries out of the room as Assassin watches Phil as he leaves the room the red in his face starts ro fade away as he looks at his manager taking a moment as he takes a breath
”Are you calm or do I need to keep you on a leash for a little while longer?”
”I’m calm as calm as I’m going to be. I just want to rip that guy’s head off so badly.”
”It’s starting to sound like we might need another session with the doctor. You don’t seem to have nearly as much control as you had before.”
I’m sorry but that guy is a little prick. He’s lucky I didn’t snap his neck any sooner.”
”Yes and if you had I would have had to deal with the fallout. Which would have been a lawsuit by Phil probably against both APW & you. It wouldn’t have been pretty trust me. It’s better that you didn’t snap on him.”
”If you say so. But I still would have loved to have gotten my hands on him.”
”I know. And the best thing to do is use that anger when you get in the ring Monday night. Use that anger on your four opponents and make them pay. Hell imagine them as Phil if you need to.”
”Your making a good point. I should just do that and keep it in the ring.”
”Yes you should. Besides that’s what you pay me the big bucks for anyway. Because I keep you focused and out of trouble.”
Assassin laughs as he stars at his manager for a moment realizing she is right
”What should I do about this match. I mean I’m taking on four other people two of them are women and well I just don’t know what to do.”
”You mean should you unleash the beast on everyone in the match man or woman?”
”Basically that’s what I’m asking I suppose.”
”It’s a tough spot. You don’t want to be viewed as a weak link. But you also don’t want to be the woman beater either.”
”That’s right. I just don’t know what I should do.”
”I say just go out there and be you. Let loose and do whatever you need to do in order to win. Besides everyone that signs a contract with APW knows that anything can happen in the ring.”
”True. I just don’t want to be the one who loses it in the ring and takes out everyone.”
”You won’t there’s too much action going on in the ring during a match like that. Everyone is going to be looking to get everyone else out of the ring. If anything God help the last person left in the ring with you.”
Assassin & his manager laugh it off as they continue
”So you think I’m going to do fine in this match?”
You’ll be more then fine. You will be you in that match and it doesn’t matter whose left in that ring. You will walk away the winner.”
”Your right. It’s my time to get a title shot and I’m not going to let anyone stand in my way. I’ve worked too long and too hard not to get a title shot. So what if I have to go through two women to get it. It’s like you said they knew what they were getting into when they signed the contract with APW right?”
”Your right on the point. You can only control what you do in the ring. Not what everyone else does. You go out there and do what you do best. Kick some ass and put on a damn good show. Warren Peace Benny Horrowitz Carmen Rivera & Torrie Leigh will all be damned. You will be the one to walk out of Mayhem with your title shot in hand.”
”Your right. It’s my time to make something of myself and I’m going to do it. I’m going to walk out there Monday and put an end to all four of them. No one is going to get that title shot besides me. It’s just the way it has to be.”
”Your right you are the one who deserves that title shot and Monday you will have it. Monday night Assassin will be back on top and headed for bigger and brighter things in APW.”
Assassin nods as he looks at his manager the two confident of what’s to come as our feed comes to an end
