First of all... WINNERS:
WINNERS[/u]
Team Spaceball: Callahan - Dark Helmet - RB - SURVIVED Jules - Colonel Kernel Sanders - JOAT - SURVIVED Level One - Pesident Skroob - GF - DEAD
I'm extremely shocked by this outcome. Scum had their backs against the wall for most of this game...and had the odds stacked against them. They played a pretty decent game but made a few mistakes that could have killed them end game....but they held on cause I don't think Town EVER got on the same page.
Roles Coming Next....

Roles: words in Brackets are things that player DID NOT KNOW. Town:
1) Princess Vespa - Misdirector - You are the Princess of Druidia, and you were captured by the Spaceballs. Luckily, Lone Starr and Barf were able to rescue you. Then, in a stupid moment of ineptitude, you allowed yourself to be captured. Once again, Lone Starr came to your rescue. Now, the Spaceballs are back and after you again (evil never learns). Choose a player to misdirect each night. Their target will be randomized.
Alignment: Town - You win when all threats to your factions have been eliminated. (Nick Watson)
[Beloved Princess – if Lynched the Next Day is skipped. ]
2) Captain Lone Starr - tracker - You are 50% space pirate, 50% mercenary, and 50% bumbling moron. You've taken on the job of rescuing Princess Vespa from the clutches of the Spaceballs (again). Use your skills to keep track of your enemies. Choose a player each night to track. You will find out who they targetted.
Alignment: Town - You win when all threats to your factions have been eliminated. (Johnny Rebel)
3) Barf (Barfolomew) - encourager - You're a mog. Half man, half dog. You're your own best friend. Choose a player each night to encourage. They will be unable to be roleblocked or misdirected.
Alignment: Town - You win when all threats to your factions have been eliminated. (A.C. Smith)
4) Dot Matrix - RoleBlocker - You're the sassy little robot nanny who looks after Vespa. Being a nanny, you're no stranger to the word no. In fact, you've come to enjoy telling people what they can't do. Choose a player each night. You will prevent them from completing their night action.
Alignment: Town - You win when all threats to your factions have been eliminated. (Kaji)
5) Yogurt - cop - You are the tiny master of the schwartz who is obsessed with merchandising. Choose a player each night to investigate. You will be informed of their alignment.
"May the schwartz be with you, (player screen name)." Once per game, you may type this in bold during the day phase. You will be given that player's alignment during that phase.
Alignment: Town - You win when all threats to your factions have been eliminated. (Saltal)
6) King Roland - double voter & doubler - You are the Ruler of Druidia whose daughter has been captured repeatedly. This has caused you to decide to make your stand. No longer will you be bullied by those with helmets larger than yours. Choose a target each night to grant a double action to. You may not target the same player twice, if you do, you will fail. You cannot be misdirected in your doubling. Also, your votes count double seeing as how you're the king and all.
Alignment: Town - You win when all threats to your factions have been eliminated. (Blade)
7) Princess Vespa - Misdirector - You are the Princess of Druidia, and you were captured by the Spaceballs.
Stunt Double – You are actually Vespa’s stunt double. What does this mean? How will it affect your powers? Will your name show up in the credits? Only time will tell.
Alignment: Town - You win when all threats to your factions have been eliminated.(CJ Gates)
[The target instead will have all actions against them redirected to a random target.]
8) Captain Lone Starr - tracker - You are 50% space pirate, 50% mercenary, and 50% bumbling moron. You've taken on the job of rescuing Princess Vespa from the clutches of the Spaceballs (again). Choose a player each night to track. You will find out who they targetted.
Stunt Double – You are actually Lone Starr’s stunt double. What does this mean? How will it affect your powers? Will your name show up in the credits? Only time will tell.
Alignment: Town - You win when all threats to your factions have been eliminated. (Kurt Noble)
[watcher instead of tracker]
9) Ewoks - doc - The Spaceballs found Endor not long ago and started kidnapping your people to perform medical tests on. Who knew they were capable of such evil. You are two Ewoks who managed to escape their testing. Each night, you may choose a player to protect(if two of you are still alive, you may chose two people). If a nightkill is attempted on them, you will prevent it. The first time you successfully save someone from a nightkill, one of you will die while the other will remain alive. If at any time you are the target of a successful nightkill and both of you are still alive, one of you will die while the other will remain alive.
Alignment: Town - You win when all threats to your faction have been eliminated. (James V)
10) Dinks - Inventors – you are the little guys who work in Merchandising with Yogurt. You create all the ideas (Spaceballs memorabilia Flamethrower is your biggest hit with the kids.) Each Night, you chose an invention and somebody to give it too. This person will get a One shot ability based on this invention. You cannot use an invention twice until you’ve used all inventions.
Inventions: SpaceBalls The Flame Thrower – One Shot Kill [Delay Kill…will take place end of next day] SpaceBalls The Yogurt Doll – One Shot Investigation SpaceBalls The LoneStar Action Figure – One shot Watcher SpaceBalls2 The Ewoks Action Figure– One shot Doctor SpaceBalls The Princess Vespa Poster– One shot Misdirection SpaceBalls The Soundtrack – One shot Redirection
Alignment: Town - You win when all threats to your faction have been eliminated. (President Jeff)
SK duo: 11) Pizza The Hutt II - You are the son of famed gangster Pizza the Hutt and also made of pepperoni pizza and hate. Your "partner" Vinnie is your hitman and confidant, as he was for your father. Choose a player each night for one of you to kill. You cannot make the hit unless Vinnie is dead. On the nights that you do not make the hit, you may pm me the name of a target to find out if they are Lone Starr or not. You may communicate at any time via QuickTopic
quicktopic.com/47/H/N6ebRd4A3nWw
Alignment: Neutral Win Condition: You win when everyone except you and Vinnie are dead. (Knuckles)
12) Vinnie – un-redirectable hits - You are the right hand man of Pizza that Hutt II, the son of your former partner and the most feared gangster in the galaxy. There's a special place in your heart (and stomach) for Pizza. In your eyes, your "partner" is simply delicious. You may communicate at any time via any means with your partner.

Alignment: Neutral Win Condition: You win when everyone except you and Pizza are dead. (Venom)
Mafia:
13) President Skroob – Godfather - You are president and leader of the Spaceballs. In other words, you're the king bumbling idiot. Still, you do your best to be ruthless. Each night, you will tell me the name of your chosen kill and who will make the hit. On the nights you do not make the hit you will investigate as Town, otherwise you will investigate as scum. If you are chosen to make the hit, you will janitor the body of your victim. Once per game, in addition to your normal night ability, you may choose to use canned air to grant one player a double action. This action cannot be used to make two kills, but it can allow a player to perform their normal action as well as perform the hit. You are Bulletproof as long as Dark Helmet is alive.
quicktopic.com/47/H/XUiSriMRefQ Scum Win Condition: You win when all threats to Planet Spaceball have been eliminated. (Level One)
[Bomb – Kills the Hammer Vote]
14) Lord Dark Helmet - RoleBlocker - You are the President's commanding officer and leader of the Dark side of the Schwartz. If not assigned to perform the hit, you may choose a player each night to roleblock, preventing them from successfully completing their action. Once per game you may post in bold in the thread -"I'm surrounded by assholes!" - This will immediately end a day phase. [And will point out the post that ended it]
quicktopic.com/47/H/XUiSriMRefQ Scum Win Condition: You win when all threats to Planet Spaceball have been eliminated. (Callahan)
15) Colonel Kernel Sandurz – JOAT Think of yourself as Dark Helmet's first mate. You basically have command of all the other Assholes. Each night that you are not chosen to make a hit, you may chose one of your subordinate powers and a player to use it on. You may not use the same subordinate twice until all of them have been used once.
Snotty - transporter operator - bus driver Major Asshole - RB Gunner's Mate First Class Philip Asshole- 50% kill (bad aim) Commanderette Zircon – redirector(whoever you choose will have a random target) The Captain of the Guard - jailkeep Twins - double vote (this will count for the next day phase)

AWARDS
This one was a toughie for me...
Town MVP - Kurt Noble He NAILED Level One night one, and pretty much pinned down scum the other nights. If the town would have gotten on board with him, Town would have won this game.
Mafia MVP - Callahan He put up with a TON of mistakes, and managed to take a lot of the heat off himself after a screw up of mine. He should have been lynched day 3 or 4 but bullshited his ass off. Also he saved Level One for a few more days with his asshole power.
PLAYER OF THE GAME - Jules/Farquhar He layed under the radar all game and used his roles very effectively. he had the ability to end the game a day earlier, but didn't use it....and still somehow won.
BRANDON HARVEY AWARD - Moderator Gonna give this to myself. As I've alluded to... I totally fucked up night two and it could have blown the whole game open. So I take that upon myself

Final Notes:
Just wanted to point things out before you all sounded off.
DAY 2 So here's what happened. Callahan used his ability to IMMEDIATELY end day 2. Jeff used his trivia ability to find out how many scum/3rd party were on the L1 bandwaggon
Well, Callahan used his ability BEFORE he voted. So he should have NEVER been on the vote list.
I gave pres jeff the results for the List with Callahan on it. I could have blown this game to pieces....
Also, I was missing a lot in the later days/nights and activity lagged so I appologize for that.
Getting the actions together and will post those later.

Getting the actions together and will post those later. There you go Knuckles. * I really enjoyed the game, even if activity trailed off at the end. I was really surprised we won because I royally screwed up at the end first by not activating my double vote (which would have prevented the final day), and with my really lazy post about my night actions. I feel for Kurt because as expected he was all over it and was generally a brilliant town player in the game, but agree with Tmarv that after my gaffe it was a case of the town who lost it in the end, rather than the mafia winning. Pleasure to work with my scum buddies, Level-One & Callahan. Special mention to Callahan who rolled with the punches so well in this one; he did brilliant to get to the end game considering how much pressure he was from the moment Sally returned. As far as the game goes I thought it was well-modded for the most part, if at times it felt a bit stacked in the town's favour with the resurrection, Sally not having to re-investigate herself, the extra powers, the stuff with Callahan. But I stress just ever so slightly. Anyway, good game, well done Tmarv, look forward to your next one.

It was a good game. The idea and the execution were well done by a great mod. I will state the obvious and say the only real gripe was time between phases, but I can't really complain too much considering there was a reason for it.
I did like the theme and found it amusing how it played out. Definitely will be looking forward to Marv's next one.

My question is why did I lose a protection when I targetted Callahan night one? That totally messed up my game.

I was gonna wait until the timeline went up, but since the next game starts soon, I'll just go ahead and post my overly-long winded thoughts (it's feedback day)!
I think this was an entertaining game that had the potential to be the best Mafia game on APW, but in retrospect, stumbled on the way to getting there. The write-ups were entertaining (I've never seen the source material), but they essentially stopped as the game went along. The time between night and day also increased, leading to the game having an exhausted feeling by Day 5. I did like that there was a consistent amount of voting updates though.
I was a bit annoyed at first at the end result, but it is what it is, ha. Jules played another excellent game as Mafia, avoiding all suspicion until he had to make up a story about his night actions, ha. Callahan also played well, dodging a lot of bullets, ha. In terms of roles, I find myself comparing this game to Heroes Mafia: Lots of power roles with two killing factions. However, while I understand his point, this is where I disagree with Jules that the game was weighed in the town's favor, because I believe the game was over-stacked in both the town AND the Mafia's favor.
Think about it like this: From the beginning of the game, there's 33% anti-town, with both factions having the instant ability to kill, a trait we did not see in Heroes Mafia (Mafia had to lose to kill), Mafia Mafia (only one faction got to kill), or L1 Noire Mafia (Delay between aronist action/kill). While the point was brought about about the resurrection helping the town, judging from the roles, that was a trivia award, not a basic element of the game, so I don't weigh it in there. When you look at the Mafia, you have a Godfather with multiple abilities/bulletproofness, a roleblocker that could skip one whole day phase, and a JOAT that could reuse abilities after a while. This was okay though because the town was matched with equally strong roles. It's almost as if all sides were so over-balanced that it worked out.
However, one of my biggest concerns about this game comes from reading the Mafia QT. Yes, Tmarv screwed up with the Callahan/Jeff situation, and it's a point that needs to be made in this topic; however, mod errors do not deserve rudeness, and I think this issue highlights the need for civility in these games. Having been a mod here, and been told this same comment, I can tell you that it's annoying, rude, and detrimental to the game to tell the mod "You fucking screwed us," even if it is in a QT removed from the game. Think about it like this: If I said in the game topic to Rebel after his lack of a vote, "Hey Rebel, you fucking screwed the town," is that okay? Absolutely not. Frustration is okay, but be tactful and address the issue when it needs to be addressed...now. I avoid other major e-fed forums' Mafia games because of certain issues like this, and I would hate to avoid playing here because players can't contain their frustrations.
In the future, I believe games need co-mods to help mediate situations like these/help games move smoothly.
Last note: I liked the changes to spruce up the game. We could have night-talked (but didn't, which by the way, was very clear that night-talking was aloud), the trivia was fun even if I was apathetic about it (maybe in the future, keep it game related), and the lynch changed ended up winning the game for the Mafia, ha. Good ways to switch up game mechanics.
Overall, it was a really solid game that suffered from a few major issues that held it back from being the best game so far. I enjoyed playing it, was proud of how I played, and would play another Tmarv game!

In the future, I believe games need co-mods to help mediate situations like these/help games move smoothly. I know this post is a shove without a name in reference to my behaviour and I'd like to go on record in saying that by no means am I proud of the way I behaved in that thread. I acted like a complete animal and am deeply ashamed of how I behaved that day. It was behaviour that was completely destructive to mine and T-Marv's enjoyment of the game and no doubt my scum mates as well (although I think L1 got a chuckle out of it ). However I think the idea that co-mods "need" to be implemented is not only an exaggeration but absolutely unnecessary. What happened between me and T-Marv was an isolated incident where two combustible elements met at the wrong time and the wrong place and an uncivil argument took place like two boars scrapping over a piece of meat. It wasn't pretty, it wasn't something I would do if I had the chance to correct it but it is what it is and we've since moved on. Both of us were in a bad way in real life and we let our irrationalities get the better of us leading to the brutal ways in which (again, mostly me) we acted towards each other. After I'd cooled off and had a chance to reflect I sent Terry a PM to make things up and we both apologised unreservedly for how we lost our tempers in that thread. Everything is now fixed as they were and I think the fact that we're still having a match this week is indicative that there's absolutely no malice about the incident and that's all water under the bridge as far as our friendship goes. In summary what I'm trying to say is that the idea that we need to have a co-mod act as a referee between mod/player disputes which from what I've seen so far never happen (again, to my shame) in these games is just unnecessary when the incident arose from circumstances that were anything but ordinary. We both acted out of character due to irregular circumstances in our real lives and this lead to a situation which was anything but ordinary as far as I can see. So to constantly have someone sit out a game when we already have a limited number of players so they can possibly mediate over which is extremely unlikely to happen ever again just seems like a waste of player potential.

Don't worry, I wasn't just talking about just you, ha. There have been incidents of others players acting in a similar manner, one unnamed, more extreme incident even occurring in a game I've run, ha, and not just between mod/player, but player/player. I didn't mean to single you out, that conversation just reminded me of past behavioral issues.
And I'm not doubting the sincerity of your apology or reprimanding you for your blow-up; it happened, you apologized, Tmarv fully acknowledges his mistake, bing bang boom problem solved. I just believe future games (as in when we have a more solid base of consistent players) could benefit from a co-mod, as I'm sure EFK and CWC games do. I don't think a co-mod would be there solely to handle issues like this; but also to make sure the game doesn't stall and to act as a second opinion when a troublesome issue arose. In the beginning of LA Noire Mafia, I made a mistake and would have liked to have asked someone for their opinion; there was no one, so I had to consult a guide, which wasn't extremely helpful.
Being that we already have people occasionally sit out games (Kaji/Kris, Atken, my brother doesn't join games because of me, and others), I don't see the problem with before-hand establishing a co-mod who wants a break. The most tiresome part of Mafia to me is the set-up, so once the initial mod sets that up, the co-mod could just help regulate games issues, especially if the Mod needs a small break/isn't available. Doing so could help prevent stalls and keep the game moving at a quicker pace.
