As the video package recapping Mayhem concludes with Kurt Noble stood on the turnbuckle victorious and Thursday Night Overdrive comes to air. “I Will Not Bow” begins to play as the arena is filled by roof raising cheers as a smiling Kurt Noble emerges from the back with the Undisputed Championship planted firmly on his left shoulder. Chase: Ladies and Gentleman, live off the heels of Mayhem, welcome to Thursday Night Overdrive! Tonight we are live from the sold out Joe Louis Arena in Detroit Michigan.Harvey: We’ve got Test for the Best Qualifying Matches this evening to find out who’s going to take on that man, who last Sunday at Mayhem defended his Action Packed Wrestling Undisputed Championship against CJ Gates in what was definitely the match of the night.Noble steps into the ring as he readjusts the title belt and throws up an arm in a victory salute to the roaring crowd who continues to cheer at a frightening decibel level. Chase: I know there were a lot of questions about whether Kurt Noble could defeat CJ Gates one on one but I don’t think those questions persist after his performance at Mayhem.Harvey: It was truly one of the most brilliant performances we have seen.Kurt Noble grabs a microphone as the cheers begin to die and are instead replaced by a ‘Noble’ chant. Kurt stands in the center of the ring, soaking it all in and even playing to the crowd slightly as he raises the microphone to his mouth and then lowers it – allowing the raucous ovation to carry forward. Continuing to smile, he nods to himself once before finally addressing the pandemonium. Noble: Nine months ago I walked out to this very ring to that very same reaction! The venue shaking crowd pop resumes as Kurt Noble beams in the ring. Noble: And now, nine months later, each and every time I hear it does the exact same thing for me. Every time I step into this ring I know that what I’m doing is worth something because of the response that I get … whether it be good or bad. There’s some murmurs of confusion from the crowd as the smile on the face of Kurt Noble turns steely serious. Noble: I know that in and amongst you there are those who don’t ‘believe’ in Kurt Noble. There are those who thought that I didn’t stand a chance against CJ Gates last Sunday at Mayhem. There are people who thought that I didn’t have it what it took to represent Action Packed Wrestling as the Undisputed Champion. So why don’t we point them out for everyone to see on national television?Noble pauses as the camera pans the crowd and numerous people are pointed out by those amongst them. As the camera returns to the ring Noble fidgets slightly before continuing to orchestrate the choir from his maestro’s position. Noble: Now, I want each and every person who believed in Kurt Noble, who knew that at the moment of truth that CJ Gates would roll over, who watched me retain my Undisputed Championship, to stand up and show the world who exactly they are.Once again the camera pans the arena and the roaring mass of humanity in Detroit. The ‘Noble’ chant refills the arena as Kurt smiles to himself at the allegiance of the Action Packed Wrestling fanatics. Noble: CJ Gates, I know you’re watching backstage. I know you’re still looking at right shoulder for ‘your’ championship and wondering how you lost and these people right here are the reason you did. You see CJ, you exploited them, the same way you exploited me. You exploited these people for their support and gave them nothing in return. You know how many times it was me standing alone signing autographs for them? Two weeks ago it was me making amends to the fans that you assaulted CJ.
Don’t forget CJ who it was that counted the pinfall when you became Undisputed Champion last year at Shockwave. Don’t forget who it was who stood beside you time in, time out, as you defended against Biggs. I was your friend CJ and you turned your back on me in my time of need, you refused to let me have my shot at the top. Last Sunday you proved you didn’t care about these people, that you didn’t care about me, that all you cared about was the Undisputed Championship; and that’s why I’m here tonight to say we’re finished.
At Mayhem CJ, you pushed me to my limit and I shook your hand because of it. The problem is that’s all you did; you pushed me to them, not past them, and that’s simply not good enough. For nine months you were good enough for the Undisputed Championship, you’re abilities warranted walking to the ring and saying you wanted an opportunity but not anymore. Unlike after Rasslemania I’m not going to offer you another shot at the Undisputed Championship tonight.
People thought that handshake meant an end to the fighting, reconciliation between us but it wasn’t CJ and as you continue to look at your bare right shoulder; down to the right hand you offered me in defeat you know that. You know that you can’t walk out here and demand one more match, that you can ask for it ‘as a friend’, you know that you don’t have to come out here and say it, that if you want one more match against me there’s only one way to do it … Test for the Best!
You won it last year CJ, you know what it takes to get there and you know what? I’m supporting you this year … I’d love to face you once more. The crowd roars as a chant of ‘one more match’ fills the arena as inside of the ring the serious look on Kurt Noble’s face immediately changes to a smirk. Noble: Because I know that’s the easiest defense I’d have! The crowd is somewhat shocked at the response of Kurt Noble but is quickly pulled out as “Give It All” fills the arena and immediately the venue shakes with heat directed towards Level One with Johnny Rebel in tow. Level-One: And surprisingly enough, the only defense you’d have. The crowd jeers as Kurt Noble shakes his head as he stares at Level-One standing atop the entrance ramp. Level-One: I would have thought you were smarter than you look Kurt. I naturally assumed that you were coming out here to make some fanciful speech, pandering to the peons, and then try and bury the hatchet with CJ. That you wouldn’t leave yourself stranded on an island, friendless, alone, with seemingly no one to help you.Level-One lets his words sink in for a moment before continuing on. Level-One: They’re afraid of us Kurt and they’re not going to risk drawing our ire to save you. They know that when the inevitable happens and we take control of Action Packed Wrestling that the people who stood in our way are going to find themselves in an ‘uncomfortable’ position and they’re simply not going to go out on a limb for you.
How many of the people that believe in you are going to come to your aid Kurt? If Johnny and I were to decide to simply walk down to the ring and take the Undisputed Championship for ourselves, how many of them would jump into the ring and fight for you? The answer; none … and there is no one else coming from the back to help you either Kurt because when they look at you they see someone beatable, they see a cripple clinging to his cane with his belt struggling to keep his pants around his waist, and then they look at the Sindicate and they see something different. Noble: All I see is the same song and dance we’ve had for the past month and a half, so why don’t we just cut to the chase and get it over with? The crowd roars at the feistiness of the Undisputed Champion as he starts to remove his suit jacket. Level-One doesn’t move however, instead smiling down at Kurt Noble as Johnny Rebel still watches on silently. Level-One: You may want to let me finish Kurt before jumping to hostilities. I know what you’re thinking because it fits your ‘m-o’ perfectly; you’re going to attempt to single handedly take down the Sindicate and restore peace to Action Packed Wrestling all before karaoke begins at the senior’s home. We could do that … or we could do things the easy way.Noble is unmoved as Level-One can’t help but shrug his shoulders at the passive resistance of Kurt Noble. Level-One: You see, I’m willing to break a personal rule for you Kurt and give you a second chance. We’re not so different in so far as we’re alike. We both want change, we …Noble: No.Kurt’s flat line interruption draws a roar from the crowd as Level One again shrugs his shoulders. Level-One: Again, let me finish. Yes, the offer is to join the Sindicate but just think Kurt, nothing changes. You can continue fighting for these people, you can keep pandering to everyone who shows up, you can be the agent of change you desire. All you’d be doing is fighting for the right side. You’d become everything you ever wanted Kurt, the star you were meant to be. You’ve dispatched CJ Gates, you’d be knocking Johnny Rebel off your list of challengers … who else is going to trump you in the spotlight. I know that’s got to be tempting for the ‘new’ Kurt Noble.Kurt stares at Level-One, appearing to give the offer some serious thought as the crowd sits in confusion at the intentions of Kurt Noble as he ponders inside of the ring. Level-One: Balls in your court until our match tonight Kurt.Level-One gives one last glance at Kurt Noble before turning on his heels and heading towards the back as Kurt Noble watches on before smiling. Noble: Hey, Lester!Level-One stops in his tracks just before disappearing through the curtain and turns back towards Kurt Noble. Noble: Best of luck tonight!Noble raises the Undisputed Championship into the air in denial as Level-One can’t help but shake his head as “I Will Not Bow” begins to play over the loudspeaker. Chase: Kurt Noble with the denial the only way he can.Harvey: You just have to wonder if he can possibly take down the Sindicate by himself.Overdrive goes to commercial

Harvey: Assassin picks up a win here tonight and he qualifies into the Test for the Best TournamentChase: Assassin comes the first person to qualify.Assassin continues to celebrate his victory as we go backstage Strolling through the backstage area after just arriving moments ago was none other than Michael Harris. He was joined by Carmen Rivera and two of them seemed to be quite comfortable with each other. All of the sudden Harris and Rivera came to a complete stop as President Jeff stood there before the two of them. President Jeff: Mr. Harris, if it isn’t the man that was hoping I would run into.Michael Harris: Oh yeah? Now seeing as my conversation is very expensive boss man and I’ve got some things to attend too here tonight. I suggest you hurry things up.President Jeff: Is that so? Well Harris from what I see you don’t have your gear bag with you and I certainly hope that you left it in your car this evening because you’re going to need it.Michael Harris: Excuse you?! You saw what happened at Mayhem! I am in no condition what so ever to be competing here tonight. I am only here to enjoy the show. I’ve got no intentions on getting in the ring tonight.President Jeff: That’s just too bad Harris. You are going to be in the ring tonight. Way I see it if John Dionysus can compete after that matchup then so can you. So here tonight, you’re going to go one on one with Chris Hart.At the announcement of Hart being Harris’s opponent. Harris quickly started to get irritated and there was a reason for that seeing as Hart just beat Harris a few weeks ago. President Jeff: Oh and before I forget. The winner will qualify to be a part of the Test for the Best tournament.Michael Harris: Goddamnit Jeff! You can’t do this to me. There’s got to be some kind of law against something like this!President Jeff: There isn’t and I just did it. Good luck out there tonight Harris. If you’re as banged up as you claimed you are certainly going to need it against a man like Hart.President Jeff just gave a little smirk and walked off. Harris continued to yell in his direction but it didn’t seem like it was going to matter. The decision had been made and that’s all there was to it. That’s when the cameras cut out to commercial

The camera switches back to the ring where Nicky Paige is standing, microphone in hand! Paige: The following is a Test for the Best Qualifying match-up, scheduled for one-fall!”This just in: Wrestling is finally COOL again. Delikado…IS…HEEEEEEERE!” With this epically deep-throated narration, a nuclear explosion is heard going off as Delikado walks out and stands in place just a few inches from the curtain. As “Hurricane 2000” by Scorpions starts playing, the Cuban looks out to the ring and points to it with his left index finger before holding out his open right hand and slowly clenching it into a fist of pain--for everyone else. Mister Cuba begins walking until he is at the outside of the ring. He looks at another camera, raising an eyebrow, and fakes a punch to it before jumping up and standing on the side of the ring with his hands on the ropes. Entering the ring, Delikado now waits for the match to start as he lazily leans over the top rope and stares out at the crowd, a highly amused smirk of superiority on his face. Paige: Introducing first, weighing in at 169 pounds and hailing from Pinar Del Rio, Cuba... Delikado!Harvey: You have to wonder if the sky is the only limit for Delikado after his harrowing defeat of rival Chris Hart at Mayhem. A Test for the Best win could pit Delikado against old his old archenemy Kurt Noble!Chase: Hey, missiles... like our "Cuban Missile" here go right through the sky, just like Delikado could go right through Noble! The lights in the area quickly cut out. The fans are abuzz, and the electricity in the air is met with one lyric. “ALL OF THE LIGHTS” Fireworks go off in time with the bass to the song as a large, dark silhouette appears on the stage. It stands still as a statue as the music continues and the capacity crowd cheers its collective heart out. Paige: From New York City! Weighing 275 pounds..."The Big Apple Asskicker" AC Smith!Harvey: Another man that had an impressive display at Mayhem. AC Smith is looking to add APW to his long list of accomplishments, and getting a shot at the Undisputed Championship couldn't hurt that!Chase: Or Asylum, if he decided to jump...in which, if he does, good riddance! The lights slowly come back on around the building, and only now does the big man move down the aisle. He confidently surveys the scene around him and touches the outstretched hands of fans as the chorus kicks in. “Turn up the lights in here, baby Extra bright, I want y'all to see this Turn up the lights in here, baby You know what I need Want you to see everything Want you to see all of the liiiiights” Smith soaks in the admiration as he pauses just for a moment at the ringside steps. However, the multiple-time world champion quickly pops up to the apron, runs to the opposite turnbuckle, and poses atop it to more cheers from the crowd. After a few seconds, Smith pivots and jumps down to the ring, where he begins to loosen up for his upcoming match. Test for the Best Qualifying Match Delikado vs. AC Smith
The bell rings as both men size one another up, with Delikado having a smug grin on his face, while AC Smith looks a bit more determined. Delikado takes an incredibly loud yawn, irritating Smith to the point that he moves in to grab Delikado…but the lighter man side-steps, and SMACKS Ac Smith across the face! Delikado yells “You don’t interrupt the Bawse’s yawn!” which actually gets Smith to grin…before charging Delikado, lifting him up, and dropping him in the corner! Smith hits some gut punches on Delikado to wind him, before driving his shoulders right into his gut! Smith Irish Whips Delikado off the ropes, but Delikado ducks a clothesline, rebounds, and jumps for a crossbody…but Smith catches Delikado and slams him down with a Samoan Drop! Smith makes a quick cover…
1 . . . 2 . . .
Kickout by Delikado!
Harvey: With a chance to participate in APW’s Test for the Best, there’s no fooling around for AC Smith, a man who would love to add a win over Delikado to his allegedly prestigious room of achievements!
Chase: That might not be wise…Delikado carries cigars on him at all times!
Smith drives a few elbows into Delikado’s face before lifting him up and Irish Whipping him…however, this time, Delikado holds onto the ropes! Smith charges in, but Delikado is a fraction faster as he hits a low dropkick to Smith’s knee, following it up with an enziguri to take down Smith! Smith tries to get up, but Delikado runs off the ropes, hitting a bulldog on Smith that causes him to roll out of the ring to recover! Delikado lies on the canvas for a moment as he takes another large yawn, just watching Smith as he tries to recover on the outside.
Harvey: Delikado definitely does not seem impressed with AC Smith, a man that entered APW roughly the same time he did. Both these wrestlers can really ascend up the ladder with a win here tonight!
Chase: Delikado looks like he’s more prepped for nap time than a wrestling match!
After a few moments, Delikado kips up to resume the actual match. He uses the ropes to springboard over, taking down AC Smith! He then throws Smith back into the ring, and kicks Smith in the head every time he moves, yelling “HEY!” after every shot, as if he were a disobedient dog! The repeated shots are keeping Smith dazed, but his attention is bought back slightly as Delikado stands back, and begins to undo the buttons on his wrestling tights!
Chase: As impressive as it *might* be…I don’t think AC Smith wants to see that!
Harvey: Or us for that matter! The FCC has been kind to us so far, so let’s not change that with a display of male frontal nudity!
Before Delikado can fully zip-down, Smith reaches up and pushes Delikado away! Delikado stumbles, and when he regains his balance, gets slammed into the turnbuckle! Smith unleashes a devastating amount of punches to Delikado’s head, backing up when the Cuban falls on his knees. Smith looks aimed for a spear, and charges when Delikado stands up…but Delikado side-steps, and Smith barely avoids slamming into the turnbuckle! Smith turns, and Delikado drops Smith with a Deli-Kao (Double Arm DDT)! Delikado then stalks Smith, waiting for him to stand up as he begins to wiggle his leg! Smith stands up and Delikado moves in…but Smith catches his foot, lifts up Delikado, and drills him with powerslam! However, Smith is still too dazed to properly make a pin before Delikado rolls away!
Harvey: AC Smith has definitely slowed down after the amount of head-related shots he’s taken in this match. That small delay allowed Delikado do dodge a spear, and avoid that pinfall! Smith needs to recover if he means to take down the much smaller, faster Delikado!
Chase: Puh-lease. Delikado’s gonna smoke this one…pun intended!
Smith lifts up Delikado and Irish Whips him, but Delikado ducks a clothesline and brings Smith down with a neckbreaker! Delikado then hops up on the turnbuckle, and goes for a frogsplash…but Smith rolls out of the way! At the last second, Delikado changes his body movement, landing on his hands and feet like a cat! Delikado turns…and is drilled with a spinebuster! Smith then lifts up Delikado for the Big Apple Slam (Michinoku Driver), but Delikado spins it, hitting Smith with a DDT!!! Delikado makes a pin...
1 . . . 2 . . . 3-
Kickout by AC Smith!
Delikado then pulls himself up, and gets in position for another kick! Smith groggily gets up, but this time, isn’t able to avoid the kick as Delikado rills him with the Last Call to Cuba (Superkick)!!! Delikado makes the pin…
1 . . . 2 . . . 3!
Winner: Delikado
Paige: Here is your winner, and advancing in the Test for the Best tournament...Delikado!Harvey: He may have been smug about it, but Delikado took enough wind out of AC Smith's sails to snatch the win from him!Chase: Are you implying he stole it? Because's he's foreign? Racist!Delikado celebrates to himself as he exits the ring. AC Smith looks fairly furious as he stands up, but moves to the back swiftly enough as the camera fades backstage The scene opens up on Cindy Shannon standing in front of Nick Watson, who is dressed in his in-ring attire, and looking rather ready for the match. Though his ribs are still bandaged up a bit from last week. Cindy: I'm here now with Nick Watson, one of the competitors who will be competing for a place in the Test for the Best tournament. Nick, you look prepared, but as I, and more than likely the fans can see...your ribs are wrapped up. Do you think you can handle John Dionysus in the ring with an injury such as that?Nick: Cindy! The Sensational One will do you one better! The Sensational One will whip his ass up and down the arena tonight and he will do it to make sure that a statement is made and that statement is that no matter what physical state the Sensational One is in...he can still compete.Cindy: Are you sure, because those ribs look really tender...Nick: Don't you worry about me, Cindy. I will be fine. Even if the deck is stacked against the Sensational One and John Dionysus looks healthy as a horse, I will have to percevier. I can't just run away now, Cindy. What type of man would that make me? I will tell you what it would make me...a coward. And the Sensational One isn't a damn coward. So, what I'm going to do is go out there...face the music...and stomp a mud-hole in John's ass so that I can go to Test. Hurt or not, it is what must be done.Cindy: John had some words for you yesterday...he said that you have some arrogance behind the way that you act, but also he stated that it will be an honor to face you because of what you're trying to do. Do you have anything to say that?Nick: Well first off, Cindy...of course there is pride, not arrogance, but pride behind the actions of the Sensational One. And why shouldn't there be? The Sensational One loves to put on a show, he loves to help the masses, and he loves to try and protect the people from the corruption that has taken up root in this company. Secondly, the honor is all mine, and I will tell you why that is. It is because the Sensational One would not want to fight anyone else other than John Dionysus tonight in Detroit!Nick pauses and listens to the cheers in the arena and then continues on. Nick: Sure I'm not one hundred percent and more than likely it is going to be an uphill battle, but I know for a fact that the fans will not be disappointed one damn bit about this match. I just hope that I can pull out the victory here tonight because there is no bigger honor or privilege in the world to me than earning the right to go to Test for the Best and compete with the best in the business! I just hope...that I win the honor. To be honest, I don't know if I can do it, but that comes with the territory...the uncertainty and all that jazz. I just have to keep my head up and my eyes forward is all!Cindy: That's the spirit! Now, do you have any last words before you go out there tonight, and fight John?Nick: Just a few....the first thing I want to say is how lucky and privileged I am to be here in the APW...it has been an honor to be selected out of a pool of other potential APW employees to come here and wrestle. Secondly, it is a privilege to be loved by so many people for doing what I do, and I thank the fans for cheering for me like they do!The fans cheer loudly and Nick nods before continuing. Nick: And lastly, I want to thank my mentors and John Dionysus...for having faith in me and believing in the things I do. I hope I let none of them down. Succeed here or not, I'm going to give John hell. So, if you don't mind Cindy...its' time for my match. As Nick says this he pats her on the shoulder and walks by, wincing a bit as he does so. She looks on in concern as the Sensational One makes his way down the hall as the scene cuts to commercial.

Backstage. The camera is focussed on Shane West who introduces this next segment. Shane West: Ladies and gentlemen, it is my distinguished honour to be joined right now by the current APW Xtreme Champion John Dionysus – a man who will later tonight take on “The Sensational One” Nick Watson in a T4TB qualifier. John, do you see this as the start of a new chapter in your career after being pre-occupied with Michael Harris and the Xtreme Championship for nearly four months?Dionysus: Shane, first of all, let’s be absolutely clear about this: as long as I hold this Championship belt it will always be at the forefront of my mind. I’ve always said as long as I am the Champion I will pay the belt the utmost respect, even if I hope to go on and make the most of the unique opportunity that presents itself to all APW megastars in the coming weeks. The Undisputed Championship is the focus undoubtedly, but I don’t want anyone to ignore, or to think I have forgotten, the fact that I am the Xtreme Champion.Shane West: And when you come through such a brutal and sustained battle as you did at Mayhem, does it give you the belief that you can make a serious statement in this tournament?Dionysus: I know if I am going to go all the way I am going to need to find a completely different level than the one I’ve been on so far in my career. No disrespect to Harris, ‘cause he is a heck of a fighter, but what it will take to win this tournament is more than simply survival or determination. I know I’ve got the resolve to win, but the test for me is whether I can prove I have the all-round ability to beat every other man or woman on the roster.Shane West: And your opponent tonight, Nick Watson?Dionysus: It says it all about the calibre of this competition that I draw Watson first-up. In fact, look at all the matches tonight, there are no gimmes, and there are even matches that would sell-out a pay-per-view. I know this kid is good, and I know he is going out there tonight believing it will be his night. I know it’s a huge match for him because if he beats me not only does he progress to the next round, but he can rightfully lay claim to the Xtreme Championship. If you like this is a double jeopardy match for me, therefore I’ve got all the more to prove.Dionysus: But whatever the outcome regarding the Xtreme Championship that day will come when comes, tonight is about me making a statement that I deserve to be on the same part of podium as the likes of Terry Marvin, C.J. Gates and Keaton Saint. I want tonight to be the night that people will look back and remember ‘May 31st 2012 – the night Dionysus arrived on the main event’.Dionysus: Sensational One, Purveyor of Justice, I don’t care which Nick Watson I get tonight because this is my night to show how sensational I am, and after fifteen years of pain and disappointment this is time for me to serve justice on my career and make it big. Tonight is my night Nick, and to quote a great man ‘Ima show you how great I am’...Dionysus pauses one last time, looks at Shane West, then looks back into the camera. Dionysus: This is the just beginning of the journey where I will show the world how great I can be.Dionysus holds a stare right at the camera for a few seconds before he slowly backs out of the picture. The scene fades back to ringside Paige: The following contest is a Test for the Best Qualifying match Scheduled for one fall#SIMPLY F'N PUT! A recorded voice comes over the loud speaker and "Smoke on the Water" by Deep Purple blasts over the PA. Johnny Rebel comes out in a gold robe shimmering in the lights. "SIMPLY PUT" is written in silver on the back. His blonde goatee is neatly trimmed and blonde hair is freshly cut; his eyes hidden behind dark sunglasses. Paige: Introducing first, from Chicago Illinois, weighing in at 234 pounds, he is one half of the APW Tag Team Champions, JOHNNY……REBEL!!!The crowd has come unglued in their hatred for Rebel. He gets to the ring and pulls a camera man down to the ground and on all fours as Rebel uses him as a stepping stone to get in the ring. LMFAO's “Sexy and I Know It” begins to play, as the lights flash alternately between yellow and pink, and former APW Tag Team Champions, The Studmuffins, enter the arena to thunderous cheers.
Paige: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome at this time, “Sr. Guapo” Armando Asante and “Stunning” Stan Everdeen, The Studmuffins!
Harvey: The Studmuffins suffered a rough loss at Mayhem, losing the APW Tag Team Championships in a Three Way Tag Team Elimination Match against the AKA & The Sindicate. What made it even harder was the fact that “Stunning” Stan wasn't even able to compete, having been taken out backstage shortly before the match!
Chase: It was a tough loss, but I don't know if the Studmuffins would have been able to retain even if Stan had been able to help Sr. Guapo, considering how polished and dominating the Sindicate was in that match up!
The Studs are in no mood to dance tonight, as they make their way right down to the ring. Both are dressed in sharp looking white slacks with tight black t-shirts, with matching gold chains around their neck and aviator sunglasses. They slap fives with the fans, although it's easy to tell that they're upset, and just doing it to try and make the fans happy. As they reach the ring, Sr. Guapo calls for a mic.
Sr. Guapo: A week and a half ago, The Studmuffins were screwed by the man we were supposed to be able to trust! We were double crossed by our very own manager, Biggs! I had Johnny Rebel in a pinning predicament, this close to retaining our Tag Team Championships even though I was fighting on my own! But then this happened!
The Studs turn towards the Action-Tron as a replay from the match at Mayhem begins to play:
Sr. Guapo runs in and nails Johnny Rebel with a Short Dropkick to the side of the head as Johnny Rebel tries to sit up, sending him back to the mat! Sr. Guapo then climbs to the top turnbuckle and blows a kiss to the fans, leaping off for the Sexy Time Splash! He has Johnny Rebel covered, 1 . . . 2 . . . Biggs pulls Sr. Guapo off, breaking the count!
Harvey: What the hell is Biggs doing!? Sr. Guapo had this one won!
Sr. Guapo is pissed off, yelling at Biggs, ”Por que!? Why did you do that!?” He gives his manager a hard shove, but Biggs responds with a swift kick to the gut, and grabs a hold of Sr. Guapo's head, running up the ropes to deliver the Bigg Time! Afterward, Biggs just calmly exits the ring, and heads up the ramp, like nothing happened, while the fans give him all sorts of heck!
The video cuts back to live in the arena, where Sr. Guapo and “Stunning” Stan both stand in the ring, absolutely fuming.
Sr. Guapo: Of all the underhanded, low down dirty things that had happened to us that night, never did I think that it would be Biggs that would be the one to screw us over royally! Ello es un perro, a dog! I can't believe we paid him so much money to manage us! It was not money well spent, was it Stan?
Stan just shakes his head.
Stan: Not at all, Armando! Yes, it was due to his help that we were able to initially get a shot at the tag team titles, but in the end, he took them right away from us!
Sr. Guapo: Biggs, we know that you are in the back! If you have any kind of guts at all, you would be a real man, and step into the ring with us, to talk to us face to face!
The fans boo loudly as “Spaceman,” by The Killers, hits the speakers, and Biggs comes strutting out from backstage. He has on his spiffy ring jacket, with blue jeans and to add insult to injury, a Studmuffins T-Shirt. Biggs has his signature smirk plastered across his face as he stops at the stage, with mic in hand. He waits for the crowd's booing to die down a bit before beginning to speak.
Biggs: Armando, Stan, how nice it is to see my two favorite clients again. I thought that after Mayhem, you all might not want to have anything to do with me...
Sr. Guapo: Cut the crap, Biggs! Be a man and come right down here to the ring, and talk to us mano-a-mano!
Biggs: Or in this case, man to man to man, but no thank you, Armando, I'm just fine up here. Because Armando, knowing your fiery Latin temper, talking will escalate to shouting, which will then escalate to physical confrontation, and quite frankly, I don't really feel up to anything too strenuous tonight, considering my condition.
Sr. Guapo: Concussion or not, you are being a coward by staying up there! What I have to say to you, I want to say to your face!
Biggs: Well you still can, I mean, I'm looking right at you. There's just about 100 feet or so separating us. I am very much okay with that!
Bigg chuckles to himself, which just angers Sr. Guapo even more.
Harvey: Biggs isn't taking this seriously at all! He wronged these two men, and he's acting like it's small potatoes!
Sr. Guapo: Y'know what, esse, I don't think it was the Sindicate that attacked Stan before our match! I think it was you!
Biggs: Who me? Well, you're half right, Armando, it was not the Sindicate who attacked “Stunning” Stan at Mayhem, in fact, if you really must know the truth, nobody attacked Stan, he faked it!
Sr. Guapo's face just drops at the news, while the fans boo viciously. He turns to face his partner, with a look of disbelief in his face, mouthing ”Why?” as Stan winds up and nails him right between the eyes with the microphone! Sr. Guapo falls to the mat like a ton of bricks, and Stan starts to stomp the living daylights out of him as Biggs rushes down the ramp!
Harvey: What the heck! Why would Stan Everdeen do such a thing!
Chase: Things aren't looking good for Sr. Guapo right about now!
The fans are livid as Biggs reaches the timekeeper's table, grabbing a steel chair, folding it and tossing it into the ring while Stan continues to stomp Sr. Guapo! Biggs rolls in beneath the ropes, picking up the chair off the mat and tapping Stan on the shoulder. Stan backs away a bit as Biggs raises the chair high and begins to wail on Sr. Guapo, hitting him in the midsection again and again, drawing more and more boos from the fans! Sr. Guapo feebly tries to exit the ring under the ropes, but Stan reaches down and grabs a hold of his legs, dragging him to the center of the ring. Biggs opens the chair slightly, and Stan holds Armando down as Biggs wraps the chair around Sr. Guapo's ankle!
Harvey: Oh no! They're going to break his freakin' ankle! Somebody needs to come down and stop this!
By this point, Stan mounts Sr. Guapo, pummeling him, while Biggs heads out of the ring again, grabbing another chair. By the time Biggs is back in the ring, Stan has busted Sr. Guapo open right above the nose, and Biggs tells Stan to get up as he raises the chair above his head! As Stan dismounts, Biggs swings the chair down hard, nailing the chair wrapped around Sr. Guapo's ankle, the impact of which echoes throughout the arena! As Armando lays there in pain, trying to push the chair off, Biggs and Stan pick their mics back up.
Biggs: Stan, why don't you tell Armando here what's up?!
Stan: Gladly!
Biggs gives the chair another stomp as Stan begins to speak with a very deliberate, very slow pace, looking down on his now former partner as he does so.
Stan: Armando, you're probably wondering why I've thrown eight years of friendship out the window just like that, but the fact of the matter is, Armando, that this has been building for quite some time. The way I see it, Armando, is for all our talk about how we were a team first, and individuals second, well, for a while now, I've felt that you have not been living up to your end of that bargain. In fact, I don't think you ever have! Sure, back in high school, you helped transform me from the tall, socially awkward dork who never had a shot with the ladies, into one of the sexiest men alive, but the bottom line is that you changed into your image. You were always the gregarious, flirtatious, outgoing one, and to be honest, the only reason I put up with you for so long was because I was so happy to just have a friend! You never knew what it was like to not have anyone outside of your family give a darn about you, you never knew how much it meant to me to just have one friend, just one! But recently, I've come to realize that the only reason you ever “helped” me was because it would help you even more! I mean, what better way to impress the ladies than to surround yourself with people that make you look even more desirable.
You knew that by having me around, it would only make you look better. You knew that by having me around, you could have me play wing man, taking out the ugly chick, while you lived the dream with her best friend! For you, Armando, our friendship was just a way for you to score more women! You have always been selfish, everything has always been about you! It took Biggs to help me see this! Your stupid “Double Dates,” the way that you would always switch between talking about yourself in the first and third person, even all the stupid dances we've been doing since we got into professional wrestling, all of that is a reflection of you, not me! We're through, Armando! We through!
Stan tosses the mic down and begins to stomp Armando again, while Biggs pulls the chair off from around Armando's leg, folds it open, and takes a seat.
Biggs: Stan, why don't pull Armando up and bring him over here. If he's still conscious, I think I'd like to give him that face to face talk that he wanted so badly.
Sr. Guapo is completely out of it, his face covered with blood as Stan pulls him up by the head and arm, holding him up about a foot from Biggs' face. “The Spaceman” just smirks as he soaks in the boos of the fans, and he looks directly into the closed eyes of Armando Asante as he begins to speak again.
Biggs: So you've heard why Stan did what he did, I guess you'd probably like to hear my side of it. The fact of the matter is, Armando, just like you've been using Stan, I've been using you. The only difference is that I've been honest with Stan about it, and now I'm getting honest with you. Going back to Christmas Chaos, where I fought C.J. Gates in an Iron Man Match that saw me sustain a horrible concussion that has sidelined me ever since, I knew the moment that I received the diagnosis from the doctors that if I wanted to be remembered, if I wanted to remain relevant in APW, I had to find a way to stay on television. People come and go from APW so often that I knew that even a little bit of time off could damage my career irreparably. That's the only reason I agreed to manage you and Stan, despite how frustrating, how ridiculous, how hard to deal with you really were, Armando. In Stan, from the very get go, I saw a man of character, a man of discipline, but unfortunately a man who was easily influenced, and let's face it Armando, you're not that good of an influence.
But that's beside the point. My point is this, Armando, I don't need you anymore. I'm keeping Stan around, because I actually like and respect him. But you, Armando, I'm done. I'm just done.
At this point, Biggs drops the mic and pops up from the chair, grabbing a hold of Armando's head and running up the near ropes, nailing him with the Bigg Time! Biggs and Stan just stand there laughing as Armando Asante is out cold! Biggs reaches down to pick up the mic once more.
Biggs: Let this be a message to the rest of APW. I'm back!
“Spaceman” hits the speakers again as Biggs and Stan exit the ring, leaving Sr. Guapo laying there in a bloody mess. The fans are booing their lungs out, while Biggs and Stan just make their way up the ramp.
Harvey: What an ugly, ugly scene we've just seen here! We need medical staff out here to check on Sr. Guapo quick!
Chase: Did you miss the absolutely great news!? Biggs is back! Wooohooo!

In the personal locker room of one Michael Harris. The Untouchable One was shown pacing back and forth pulling at his hair due to the amount of frustration he was dealing with. Michael Harris: I can’t believe him! I can’t believe that President Jeff is going to throw me in a match when he knows for a fact that I am not in a well enough condition to compete! And against the fruit loop known as Chris Hart of all people? Come the hell on!Carmen Rivera had been taking gentle steps lately. She knew how frustrated that Harris had been these days. She gently stuck a fishnet-covered hand out, wrapping her arm around his waist. Carmen Rivera: Will you please stop, Michael? You are going to run yourself ragged and if you do, then he wins no matter what the result of the match is.Michael Harris: I don’t think you quite understand Carmen!Despite her doing the best she could to calm him down. He pulled out of her grasp and his pacing proceeded to continue. There was a lot riding on this match for the self-proclaimed best to ever exist. It was sink or swim as far as he was concerned. Michael Harris: I lost at Mayhem. Everything I had been working toward is gone because of that sorry son of a bitch John Dionysus. Now I am in this match where if I don’t win then I don’t qualify for the Test of the Best. And what happens then? What happens if Hart gets lucky again?! Once again I’ll be the laughing stock of APW!Carmen Rivera: I'm not going to say that I understand where you're coming from, papacito. But I know what it's like to want something more than anybody else, and I know what it's like to have that ripped from your hands. I stopped believing in fate just because of that. She put her hands on her hips and glanced up at him. She rolled her shoulders then her neck a bit, still a little sore from the aftermath of her tag match. Carmen Rivera: But beating yourself up gives that limp-wrist little pesk all the more ammo to go with.Michael Harris: I won’t allow it to happen again. I won’t allow myself to come so close to something and have it ripped away from me because some tool wants to get lucky. He pulled back on his hair due to his frustration. In fact he was pulling so hard that it was a wonder that he hadn’t pulled out some of his gold locks by now. His eyes narrowed a little bit as he looked in her direction. Michael Harris: Failure isn’t an option for me tonight Carmen! Everything has to go right. I have to do my job. You have to do your job. I have to win this match and I have to be a part of Test for the Best. Do I make myself clear?!Carmen Rivera: Will do. As long as you don't wind up with a clump of hair in your hand. She lifted her index and middle finger to her eyebrow, giving him a salute. She then placed herself in front of him, doing her best to pry his hands away from the roots of his hair with her own. Carmen Rivera: I won't let you down, and I won't let Tinkerbell let you down either. She'd finally pulled his hands away from his scalp and held onto them with a surprisingly tight grip with her own, preventing them from returning to his hair. Harris just stood there staring off into the distance clearly there was a lot riding on his mind tonight. Just then the cameras cut away from the locker room back out to the ring. Darkness. There is the sound of a bell being tolled. “For Whom the Bell Tolls” begins to play. The song plays for one minute and 43 seconds before the main riff of the song kicks in and John Dionysus walks from behind the curtain. Paige: Ladies and gentlemen, the following match is a Test For The Best Qualifying Match! Welcoming first, from Boston, Massachusetts, weighing in at 255 pounds, John Dioynsus! He takes a few steps forward and soaks in the response from the crowd, rotating his arms around his body and limbering up for the in-ring action. After about ten seconds Dionysus walks towards the ring. Dionysus stops as he reaches the end of the gangway, skips on his toes for a few seconds and then slides under the bottom rope into the ring. Paige: And his opponent, weighing in at 198 pounds, from Carson City, Nevada, “The Sensational One” Nick Watson!"Smooth Criminal" by Alien Ant Farm hits the PA as the fans stand up as Nick Watson emerges on the entrance ramp with a girl on each of his arms. He grins widely as the fans let out cheers and whistles at him and for the two girls, he then asks both the girls to make their way down to the ring, which they promptly do, allowing Nick to look around the arena in a non-distracted fashion. Nick raises his fist to the sky and pumps it a few times, each time green and white pyrotechnics explode around the entrance ramp, after the third time he stops, and makes his way down to the ring. As he reaches the ring, the girls lower the ropes so that he can get inside the ring easily, he grins, and then does so, making sure to kiss the two girls, and then tell them to leave. They obey and make their way backstage. Nick then looks at the entrance ramp as he takes off his shirt, to the adoration of some of the women at ring side, and throws it out into the crowd, as he gets ready for his match to start. Harvey: What a great match we have here tonight. Both competitors have the ability to go all the way in the Test for the Best Tournament. Chase: It’s going to take a lot for either of these guys to get that far though. Let’s just see who can make it out of here alive.TEST FOR THE BEST QUALIFIER [/u] John Dionysus vs. Nick Watson The match gets underway quickly as both men go into a grapple. Watson has the height, but Dionysus has the weight. They push back and forth on each other for a little bit before Watson gets the upper hand and puts Dionysus into a headlock. Watson holds the headlock for a few seconds before Dionysus pushes Watson off and throws him into the ropes. Watson comes back of his own accord though and attempts a clothesline that Dionysus ducks under, Watson’s momentum takes him off the opposite ropes and back at a waiting John Dionysus who jumps up and knee’s Nick Watson right in the face! Harvey: Fast paced match here already, but John Dionysus picks up the first big blow. Chase: I’ll tell you something else that is big and blows.Harvey: Not interested. Nick Watson recovers quickly but Dionysus is already on top of him and hits a huge headbutt that backs Nick Watson into the turnbuckle. Dionysus unloads a few load smacks as the crowd has collective “Woo’s” after each slap. After four of these, Dionysus backs up preparing for another strike. As he rushes in for a spear to the midsection, Watson spins out of the way and John Dionysus goes through the turnbuckle and hits the post! He is slow to get out from the turnbuckle which gives Watson time to recover. John turns around to face Watson and Nick delivers a huge roundhouse kick that floors John Dionysus. Watson jumps on for a quick cover. 1 . . . 2 . . Kick out by Dionysus! Watson wastes no time and gets Dionysus to his feet. Nick Watson slaps on an arm bar and holds it tightly as Dionysus slaps at his shoulder in pain. The referee checks with Dionysus to make sure he isn’t giving up. Dionysus grabs Watson’s hand and reverses the move. He pushes down on the shoulder and then jumps up and uses all his weight to hit a big elbow to the shoulder of Nick Watson. Dionysus picks up Watson for a power slam, but holds onto Watson. He grins at the crowd as he holds him and then launches him over his head and hits a huge fallaway slam! Harvey: This match looks like it’s gone back and forth but John Dionysus has definitely hit the biggest moves tonight so far.Chase: Yet Watson is the only one to get a pin so far.John Dionysus walks over to Nick Watson who is still lying on the mat, catching his breath. He lays a quick stomp to the midsection. After another stomp, Watson rolls outside of the ring to get away from Dionysus. John taunts Nick from inside the ring as the referee counts a loud “1!”. Dionysus taunts towards the crowd now and Watson slides in the ring trying to catch Dionysus by surprise. It is to no avail though as John stomps Watson a few more times on the back before Watson can get to his feet and then John starts laying in the punches and backs him into the corner. John Dionysus hits a combination of punches on Watson before finally finishing with a huge right hook! Watson falls to his behind and is laying up against the bottom turnbuckles. Dionysus steps on Watsons throat and holds the choke hold until the referee pulls him off. Harvey: John Dionysus really took the upper hand in this match. Seems like it’s only a matter of time now.Dionysus backs off and elicits cheers from the crowd as he waits for Nick Watson to finally get to his feet. He finally does and John Dionysus charges towards Watson who spins out of the way and Dionysus charges into the turnbuckle. He turns around and quickly charges back at Watson again who frog jumps over him and Dionysus stands stunned, Watson runs and hits a bulldog that drives John into the mat. Both men hit the mat and are down. The referee begins the ten count. 1! 2! 3! Both men start to stir and roll over onto their sides. 4! 5! 6! Both men make it to their knees and then Dionysus makes it to his feet first and the referee stops his count. Both men are at their feet now and they circle the ring glaring at each other. Harvey: Looks like we’re back at square one here. Both men ready to go at it.Chase: The Test for the Best is a big opportunity for either of these men. Neither wants to be eliminated from even having a chance of winning it.The two men go into a grapple again. Watson again gets the upper hand and puts on a headlock. This time instead of holding it though he starts with right hooks to the forehead to work down Dionysus. Watson throws him off the ropes after a few more punches and as he’s coming back his a spinning elbow strike that knocks down Dionysus. He gets up quickly though and Watson jumps up and hits a huge heel kick on him. Dionysus goes down again. This time as he gets up it takes a little bit longer. Watson pops right back up though. He jaunts over to John and throws a knee into his stomach. He grabs his head and slams Dionysus to the mat with a big DDT! Watson gets up again and this time runs to the turnbuckle. He hops on the top rope as John Dionysus begins to get up. Dionysus turns to look at Watson who jumps and hits a huge cross body! Watson lands on him for the pin! 1 . . . . 2 . . . Dionysus flips it over and gets the pin on Watson! 1 . . . . 2 . . . Watson kicks out! Watson is the first to his feet and he launches at Dionysus and nails him with a knee to the skull. Dionysus is down and out. Watson bounces off the ropes, comes back drives his elbow onto the chest of Dionysus. He stays on top for the pin. 1 . . . 2 . . . Dionysus somehow kicks out! Harvey: My God, both of these men are battling hard tonight. I have no idea how this is going to end.Chase: I thought Dionysus was done there. I thought Nick Watson cracked his head open.Watson looks around stunned after Dionysus broke out. He lifts Dionysus onto his feet and throws him into the corner. Watson lifts up Dionysus onto the top rope. Harvey: Looks like Nick Watson is setting him up for something big here.Watson climbs up with Dionysus but John starts fighting back. He punches Watson in the gut a few times. John gets the upper hand and knocks Nick off the top rope. Nick lands on his feet and Dionysus attempts a two handed smash but Nick ducks out of the way, runs around John and hops onto the top rope. Dionysus turns around and Nick Watson is jumping from the top rope lunging his knee! Dionysus sees it coming and spears Watson! Chase: Oh boy! Nick Watson didn’t see that coming. John Dionysus was just a step too quick there.Dionysus pulls up Watson, hooks both of his arms, and hits the EVENT HORIZON! That’s it. Dionysus goes for the pin. 1 . . . . 2 . . . 3!! Winner: John Dionysus[/center] Paige: Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner and qualifier for the Test for the Best, John Dionysus!Harvey: Unbelievable match by both competitors here. Back and forth all night, John Dionysus walked away with the victory tonight though.Chase: That’s right John Dionysus has moved on and will compete in the Test for the Best tournament, what an honor! We cut backstage to a close-up of Cindy Shannon who is holding her microphone at the ready, she exchanges a quick nod with her off-camera interviewee and resumes facing the camera. Cindy Shannon: Tonight we will be seeing a variety of Megastars battling it out for the chance to be a part of Test for the Best and an opportunity to prove themselves in one of the most demanding events within APW. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, Keaton Saint. The camera zooms out to reveal the stoic figure of Keaton Saint, he acknowledges his name being called and stands to face the camera. Keaton Saint: Thanks for having me.Cindy Shannon: Keaton, at Mayhem you had your third chance to become the Overdrive champion since your arrival in APW. And as we've all seen what happened during the match, you currently stand here without a championship around your waist. How does it feel knowing that Terry Marvin remains the Overdrive champion? Do you feel that your match tonight with Mark Mania offers you a route to redemption?Saint clasps his hands over the microphone and pauses for a short moment before replying. Keaton Saint: Before the bell rung at Mayhem I made a promise to myself, I know a lot of fans out there will probably think that my promise was to do anything to win the Overdrive title and that's partially true. I promised that I would give it my all. You see, I believed completely that if I went out there and did everything in my power to defeat Terry Marvin then I would be standing here now with that title around my waist. By hook or by crook, Terry Marvin ensured that he retained the title but one thing has to be made clear. Terry Marvin survived the very best of what I had to offer, he walked away from that match after taking everything I could possibly throw at him. That is real, that is something I can recognise and that is why I can stand here knowing that whilst I may not be the Overdrive champion, I did everything I could and I kept my promise to myself. Terry Marvin may be a villain, but he's still a wrestler who has supernatural endurance and I have to respect that.Cindy Shannon: Powerful words, but do you not have any regrets about what might have been?Keaton Saint: I have to be honest here and say this. I'd only be regretting my actions if I didn't do everything I could, tonight would be about redemption if I had something to redeem and yet I know with absolute certainty that tonight isn't about that at all.Cindy Shannon: Then what is it about?Keaton Saint: Tonight, tonight is about showing Mark Mania that for all his accolades and achievements, he hasn't got what it takes to defeat me. Tonight is about looking at another man, looking him square in the eye and telling him that Keaton Saint is more than just an obstacle, Keaton Saint is something he cannot pass.Cindy Shannon: But surely rebounding from a difficult loss at Mayhem has to provide some extra impetus to win?Keaton Saint: Losing at Mayhem taught me something important. Tonight is about taking that lesson and showing Mark Mania that the here-and-now is of more importance than his or my own history. What we've done, who we've been and what we represented are simply artefacts of the past but when the bell rings, Mark Mania has to face the fact that he's standing opposite a man with one goal and a huge will to accomplish that goal. It doesn't matter how many years of experience Mania has, he hasn't experienced Keaton Saint. He doesn't know who I am.Cindy Shannon: Mark Mania's comments earlier in the week seem to indicate that he feels you are a stepping stone for him to reach greater success. How do you feel about this?Keaton Saint: I watched what he had to say and whilst I'll respect the athlete I have to face, I don't have to agree with what he is saying about me and about some of the best wrestlers here in APW. Mark Mania is a man who is living on the idea that being an originator of something means he directly influenced everything that came after. I sure as hell don't remember wanting to become a wrestler because of Mark Mania and up until now he's only ever been a name and a face to me. The thing about Mark is this, he can stand there and say that I'm following 'his' model, he can go on about how we're all trying to become like him but it doesn't come close to the truth. Since day one there has only been one person I've wanted to be, that man is Keaton Saint.Saint takes a moment to face the camera as he cracks his knuckles. Keaton Saint: It won't be long until that bell rings but when it does you need to be ready, you need to understand that you're not facing an imitation of a man. This isn't some goddamned old versus new-school contest, this is not about my apparent redemption or your supposed comeback. Tonight is about wrestling and it is our proof of existence, our struggle to prove that we are at the peak of this sport. You can go out to the ring and continue to believe that I'm some Mark Mania-lite who hasn't done anything to deserve your attention, you'd just be signing your own elimination. I am Keaton Saint, I'm the real deal, I AM a professional wrestler and tonight I will prove just how powerful that can really be.Cindy Shannon: Keaton, thank you for your time.Saint nods in response and takes his leave as we cut away from backstage.

The lights suddenly go out and the titantron comes on only to show a graphic featuring the letters "MH" wrapped in barbwire and "Tear It Up" begins to blare over the arena's speaker as a single spotlight shines down on the entrance way as Michael Harris steps out from behind the curtain to a substantial amount of heat from the Joe Louis Arena patrons with Carmen Rivera sashaying behind him. Paige: Ladies and gentleman, the following contest is scheduled for one fall and is a Test for the Best Qualifying Match. Introducing first, from Chicago, Illinois, Michael Harris!!!Strutting down the ramp, Harris slides into the ring and ascends the top turnbuckle and throw his arms out to the side for his signature "Bow to me" taunt. Tossing his beanie into the crowd as he jumps off the turnbuckle, Harris leans in the corner with a cocky smile as he gets a few last minute words from Carmen. Get up, get down, lose that sound … Drop the Bass! The lights in the arena stay down as the opening beat of Cinema hit’s the dark arena as Chris Hart emerges from the back with pink laser lights flashing all around ‘The Joe’. Paige: And his opponent, from Calgary, Alberta, Chris Hart!!!The pulsing beat and laser lights show continue as he walks down the ring and slides into the ring. Going to the far corner, Chris climbs the turnbuckle and throws one arm up in the air and looks out at the cheering crowd. Flipping off the top rope Chris stares down Harris, waiting for the bell to start the match. Michael Harris vs. Chris Hart
With the sound of the bell Harris looks to immediately exercise his strength advantage as he bull rushes Chris Hart and almost catches him off guard before he can get out of his corner but the crafty Canuck dodges the charging Harris as he slams into the turnbuckle. He looks to quickly get the pin fall and the advance in the tournament as he pulls him down with a schoolboy pin
1 . . . 2 . . .
No! Harris manages to collapse Chris Hart as Carmen Rivera stares at him bug eyed, shocked at how quickly Chris had nearly taken advantage of the ‘Best in the World’.
Harvey: Chris Hart nearly did it right there.
Chase: And you’ve got to believe Michael Harris isn’t going to be happy about that. He’s had it tough the past couple of weeks and you’ve got to think he sees Test for the Best as a chance to right his standing here in Action Packed Wrestling.
Hart wastes no time as he keeps the pressure on Michael Harris, tossing him into the ropes and taking him down with a drop toe hold and immediately applying a shoulder claw, controlling the tempo of the match in the early going and looking to neutralize the tenacity and strength advantage possessed by Harris. As he fights against the hold, Carmen Rivera spurs him on from ringside and applauds as he drives an elbow into the gut of Chris upon reaching his feet, before turning into the hold and delivering a knee lift that doubles him over and a couple of sledges to the back that drops him to a knee. Harris hits the turnbuckle and looks to connect with a running knee to the temple but Chris sees it coming, a master of the move himself and dodges it with a drop toe hold and promptly goes back to the shoulder claw.
Harris once again works his way to his feet but this time Chris doesn’t let him fight out, instead turning around and tossing him with a set of high impact arm drags, dizzying Harris enough to the point that upon getting to his feet after the fourth one, Chris is able to connect with a running crossbody block and look to score the pinfall once again.
1 . . . 2 . . .
Harris once again kicks out at two.
Chase: Harris is going to have to get his head in the game if he wants to stand a chance here.
Harvey: Chris has done a good job keeping him off balance though. His win loss record may not show it but he’s been highly impressive here so far in APW.
Hart whips Harris into the corner and follows him in with a big clothesline that rocks him and immediately he looks to go for the Hart Break using the middle of the ropes as a vault. Grabbing hold of Harris he leaps off but the big man fights him off and sends Hart crashing onto the top rope before tumbling to the floor below. Taking a moment to gather himself, he steps out of the ring and throws him into the barricade as the referee’s count reaches three. Taunting him for a moment, Rivera comes over and yells at Harris to keep his focus on the task at hand and in response he delivers a vicious slap to the face of Hart before tossing him back into the ring. Sliding in after him, Harris tosses Hart into the ropes and takes him down with a hard clothesline before hooking the leg for the count.
1 . . . 2
NO! Hart kicks out with relative ease but does not deter Harris who hauls him up and then tosses him into his corner. Unleashing a torrent of knife edge chops to the sternum, he’s forced away before the referee can hit the ten count as Chris slumps in the corner. The referee takes a moment to admonish Harris and allows Rivera an opportunity to get a few cheap shots in on Chris Hart, stirring him for a moment as he attempts to fight back. It’s short lived however as utilizing the distraction, Harris charges the corner before using his bulk to crush Chris between him and the turnbuckle as the Rivera looks on innocently; the referee none the wiser.
Backing away from the corner Harris gestures at the fans drawing considerable heat from them before he mockingly places a foot onto Chris Hart, pinning him.
1 . . .
Harvey: The cocky Michael Harris is starting to reemerge.
Chase: Sharpshooter!
Chris reverses the pin attempt and pulls Harris down promptly into the Sharpshooter but the move is relatively ineffective as Harris surges forward and easily grabs the ropes. Hart goes to work and begins to stomp Harris, expressing his displeasure at the disrespectful pin before the referee pulls him off. Brushing past, Hart picks up Harris and tosses him into the ropes and looks to connect with a back body drop but Harris floats over the top and as Chris turns around, plants him with a spinebuster and this time hooks the leg for the count.
1 . . . 2 . . .
No! Hart kicks out at two and a bit and Harris looks on, sensing that he can put Hart away. Stalking Chris as he gets to his feet, Harris connects with a toe kick and scoops him into position for the Harris Effect, or attempts to but Chris slithers out and lands in perfect position for the Hart Break. Charging at the ropes he vaults around but Harris pushes him off, blocking the move, and then counters with a vicious super kick to the throat of Hart, levelling him.
Harvey: That’s got to be it!
Chase: A similar blow did Chris in at Mayhem!
1 . . . 2 . . . 3!
NO!!! Chris Hart manages to somehow throw his shoulders off of the canvas at the very last moment as Harris turns and looks at the referee – stunned! Rivera yells at him to cover him again but Harris refuses to listen, rolling off of Hart to the outside and heading towards the announce table, yelling at Nicky Paige to vacate his chair. Folding it up, Harris takes it with him as he storms back towards the ring.
Chase: This doesn’t look good for Chris Hart!
Harris slides into the ring as the referee yells at him, warning him if he uses it he’ll be disqualified. Harris appears not to care, yelling at the referee as he stares at Chris and slams it on the mat once. As he raises it up to swing, the referee grabs hold and yanks it out of his hands as Harris turns and looks at him, furious. The two begin to argue and finally Harris gives up and turns around right into a Busaiku Knee Kick!!! Chris makes the cover but the referee is busy disposing of the chair. As the count reaches three from the fans, he turns around and realizing what’s going on slides into position and immediately counts the fall.
1 . . . 2 . . . 3!
NO! This time Harris kicks out and Hart looks on in shock. At ringside Carmen Rivera smiles to herself as she grabs hold of the steel chair and slides it back into the ring. Spying this, the referee begins to admonish Rivera, ignoring the steel chair as Hart pulls Harris up … only to be caught by a low blow from him, stunning him. Springing into action he grabs hold of the steel chair and slams it into the head of Chris Hart, crumpling him and disposing of the evidence and hooks the leg as immediately Rivera apologises at ringside. Once again the referee makes the frenzied dash across the ring to make the count.
1 . . . Harvey: This is terrible!
2 . . .
Chase: Like I said, Michael Harris pulling out all the stops to advance!
Chris is still unconscious as the referee slams the mat for the third time.
3!!! Harris rolls off of Hart with a smile on his face as Nicky Paige announces the winner.
Winner: Michael Harris Paige: Ladies and gentleman, your winner and advancing in the Test for the Best tournament, Michael Harris!Carmen Rivera slides into the ring and raises the arm of Harris as she has a microphone in her hand. She whispers in Harris’ ear, her words eliciting a smile from the victor as he slides out of the ring and grabs hold of the steel chair once more. Rivera: Consider this … a message! Harris slides into the ring and raises the steel chair as Chris is struggling to get to his feet. Once he does he’s not there for long as Harris levels him with the steel chair once more, sending him to the canvas like a sack of hammers. One shot isn’t enough however as Harris continues to bludgeon Chris Hart repeatedly with the chair, a sick smile on his and Rivera’s face. Finally the assault ends as a number of road agents slide into the ring to save Chris Hart – sending Harris out of the ring and up the entrance ramp as Overdrive fades to commercial.

The scene opens backstage in a brightly lit room decorated with posters of the APW Overdrive Champion, Terry Marvin. The Masterpiece Theatre music plays loudly in the room. There is a very Plush Red leather Chair in the middle of the room with an oak side table next to it holding a drink on a coaster. A large banner hangs on the wall behind the chair that reads…. Real Show Productions Present: GET REAL Terry takes a sip of his drink and smiles brightly for the camera as he dips his shades down and looks dead on to the camera. Terry Marvin: Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen. You see, I thought that it was necessary for the Greatest Overdrive Champion this world has ever seen would get his very own show to speak the truth to you undeserving heathens out there. Terry smiles and takes a bit of a drink before sitting back and pushing his sunglasses back up. He lets out a deep sigh before continuing on. Terry Marvin: You see, each and every week, I will come out here, choose a subject, and let you in on something the powers to be in APW want to keep a hidden secret….the Truth. Terry smiles and chuckles a bit to himself. Terry Marvin: No longer will the Corruption of President Jeff lull you people into believing that what he says is the law. You see… this is MY SHOW after all. Therefore it is my responsibility. He laughs again and continues with a huge smile on his face. Terry Marvin: The most obvious choice for this weeks segment would be The Test for the Best Tournament and my opponent this week CJ Gates. However, I have no truth left to spread about this situation. You are clearly looking at THE BEST right here and now. Proving it in this tournament, starting with embarrassing and ousting last years winner is simply a formality that I must follow, jumping through the beurocratic hoops of the athority. CJ Gates is nothing to me. As I stated… nobody can stop the wave that I’m riding. It is a force unlike nothing this world has ever seen…and CJ is just a bug to be crushed beneath my god like stature! Terry smiles and takes another drink before holding up his Overdrive Championship Belt. Terry Marvin: No, my discussion today revolves around THIS! You see, ever since I dispatched Keaton Saint from the wretches of all relevancy, there have been millions and millions of questions out there about who my next opponent…who my next challenger could possibly be. Who is worthy to rise up from the nothingness to try to take what I hold most precious off of me? The answer to this is VERY simple…. Terry takes his sunglasses off and leans forward. Terry Marvin: ABSOLUTELY NOBODY!!!!
You see, my greatness alone has put this title out of reach of every single wretched soul on the APW roster with the exception of the Syndicate roster of course…but they’re much to busy to care about this title at the moment.
You see… I wouldn’t even concider Kurt Noble, CJ Gates or any so called Undisputed title contenders as a challenger for this belt. Quite simply, they are below this title. You see, my shear dominance of Keaton Saint mixed with my flawless victory of that overmatched Nazi Michael Callahan proves that this Overdrive title is the ONE AND ONLY top championship in the APW. I am in my own class… my own division, so far above everyone else and shining so brightly that it is hazardous to their health to look at me with the naked eye!Terry smiles again and puts his shades back on before leaning back. Terry Marvin: So Today’s REAL TRUTH is this ladies and gentlemen…. I am without equal…without a peer, and there isn’t a single soul in this god forsaken company that can compare or contend to the supremacy that I have blessed upon this title. There will NEVER be another Overdrive champion because there will NEVER be another worthy advisory for me to not waste my time on. Consider this chapter in APW history….CLOSED!
I’m not ducking challengers….I’m simply stating the TRUTH! He laughs before leaning forward one more time. Terry Marvin: Now that all the trailer trash out there have been edumicated… I have other important things to attend to, such as planning my victory party after I give CJ Gates a BAD case of the whiplash.
Good Night folks….it’s time to sit back and enjoy the festivities…..
ITS SHOWTIME!The masterpiece theatre music plays once again as The scene slowly fades to ringside Paige: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is a Test for the Best Qualifying matchThe melody of "Cold War" by Janelle Monae signals the arrival of Keaton Saint, who makes his presence known as the song begins to pick up tempo. Paige: Introducing first, from London England, weighing in at 248 pounds, KEATON SAINT!Saint makes his way to the ring high-fiving some of the fans in the attendance before entering the ring and preparing himself for the match ahead. “This Means War" by Busta Rhymes plays out over the loud speaker as on the jumbo tron a giant video of Mark Mania's career highlights plays. Mark Mania walks out from behind the curtain with his arms in the air. Paige: And his opponent, weighing in a 235 pounds and making his return to Overdrive, he is MARK MANIA!He comes out in a full suit, as he is walking down the ramp he offers arrogant yet charming looks to crowd as he removes the suit coat, tie, and shirt while walking down the ramp and throws them into the crowd. Harvey: A big win for Keaton here tonight as he advances into the Test for the Best tournamentChase: I bet he’s hoping that CJ beats Terry Marvin later tonightKeaton continues to celebrate his victory as we go to commercial backstage The camera moves backstage, where Cindy Shannon is standing, microphone in hand! Shannon: Joining me now is former APW Tag Team and Undisputed Champion…CJ Gates!Gates: Thanks for having me Cindy; always a pleasure to be here.Shannon: I have to ask CJ…how are you feeling tonight? You and Kurt Noble wrestled an absolutely amazing match-up at Mayhem, one that critics are already calling a contender for Match of the Year! What are you taking away from that match?Gates: Well, the Undisputed Championship would have been nice to take away from Noble, but I like to think I’m moving past our match with the knowledge that despite our differences, Kurt and I are equals in wrestling. We pushed each other to the very brink, and it hurts to come up short…but now that I know what Kurt is really about, I’ll be ready and primed for him next time.Shannon: Even though he said facing you again would be an easy defense?Gates: Kurt can joke all he wants, but him wanting to push me to the side shows how insecure he’s really feeling about me. You saw his charade out there: He thinks he runs the place now that he’s had a successful defense. He may think we’re done, and we might be for a short bit…but Kurt and I will meet up again, preferably after Test for the Best.Shannon: CJ, as you obviously remember, you won Test for the Best last year by defeating Sally Talfourd, Bobby Bodacious, and finally Shane Borderlands in the finale, and won the Undisputed Championship off of your title match! Tonight, you’re pitted in a qualifying match against Terry Marvin. How are you feeling?Gates: Well, it’s a very familiar feeling tonight trying to qualify for Test for the Best. I know Terry Marvin has always had his eyes on the big prize, but I know exactly what it’s like to be at the top, and I’m going to give my best to be there again. Terry Marvin has been a fine Overdrive Champion, but he hasn’t gone “big” yet; and I intend to send him home once again as I undergo another Test for the Best.Shannon: Any closing thoughts for Marvin, Noble, or APW in general?Gates: I know it’s easy to wipe a guy like me under the rug after losing the Undisputed Championship, but my best wrestling days are still ahead of me. If history really does repeat itself, I’ll win Test for the Best and walk into Shockwave with a title shot. Hopefully, Kurt is my opponent, and not my referee this time. Tonight’s the beginning of my own personal test, and like I always say…it’s either go big or go home. Shannon: Thank you so much for your time!Gates: Anytime.Gates nods and walks away as the camera shifts away from the two and we go to commercial

Michael Harris was shown walking backstage with Carmen Rivera. The two of them were in the mist of celebrating his victory over Chris Hart. All of the sudden Shane West came running right up to the two sticking his microphone in Harris’s face. Obviously something Harris didn’t really appreciate. Shane West: Mr. Harris, you just beat Chris Hart … with a little bit of help of course.Michael Harris: So what?! A win is a win and that’s all that matters. I am the most intelligent superstar around here and there’s nothing wrong with me using my wits to constantly have an ace up my sleeve. You and everyone else need to get over it.Shane West: I guess that’s one way to look at it.Michael Harris: It’s the only way to look at it. Now is there a point to you being a pain in my ass or what?!Shane West: Actually there is a reason. I am sure at this point you already know but with that win over Hart. You now qualify for the Test for the Best tournament. I was wondering if there was anything you’d like to say about that.Michael Harris: Test for the Best? I don’t need to be tested when I already know that I am the best. I have been the best wrestler this business has ever seen for twelve years. I have been the best in every single promotion I have worked for prior to APW. I’ll be the best in every promotion I work for after APW and I’m the best APW has ever seen, but it has become quite clear to me. No one around here wants to accept that.Harris was getting himself pretty hyped up at this moment. He clearly felt very passionately about this entire situation and about him proving that he was the best. That was a point that he was going to make sure he drove home by all means. Michael Harris: But now that I am in this little tournament. They are going to have no choice but to accept it. It doesn’t matter how I find myself against in this tournament. It doesn’t matter how many people I got to go through. It doesn’t matter what brand I have to drive through to get to where I want to be. Because in the end I am going to be the one that is left standing as the sole survivor and I will truly be the best this place has ever seen. Guarantee it.Shane West: Well then Mr. Harris, I can’t really argue with your opinion seeing as it is just that your opinion. I wish you nothing but the best of luck in this tournament.Michael Harris: Luck is for losers. I’ve got a little something called talent and it’ll be shown soon enough. But you know just to get a little something else off my chest. If I were Kurt Noble, I’d be enjoying every last minute he has with that Undisputed Championship because sooner rather than later. It’ll be taken from him and it’ll be in my possession. That’s another guarantee from the best to ever exist. With seemingly nothing else to say, Harris slung his arm around Carmen once again and the two of them went walking off leaving Shane just standing there. Rather or not he was finished with his interview, Harris considered it over and in his world he called the shots. Just then the cameras cut right back out to the ring for the next bit of action that was set to take place. Harvey: It’s been a totally stacked show so far, hasn’t it Johnny?Chase: Overdrive had delivered yet again.Harvey: But it’s getting really spicy now because we’re just a few short minutes away from the first of two huge matches tonight.Chase: Here we go, he’s coming! The lights Dim down as the vocal introduction to “Hate Me Now” is played. Blue and silver lights illuminate the Entrance way and Pyro goes off as soon as the Music kicks in. "The Real Show" Terry Marvin makes his way down the ramp jawing and messing with the fans all the way down. He rolls into the ring and poses on the turnbuckle, holding his arms out like the people should warship him. Paige: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is a Test For The Best Qualifying Match. Introducing first: from Las Vegas, NV; he weighs 245lbs; he is the current APW Overdrive Champion...”THE REAL SHOW” TERRY MARVIN!Harvey: We’re still feeling the fallout from Mayhem, and none more so than Terry Marvin adding further to his stock with another successful defence of the Overdrive Title against Keaton Saint.Chase: Tmarv proved without a shadow of a doubt he is the greatest ever Overdrive Champion – he’s my favourite to now go on win Test For The Best.“Shooting Star” by Black Stone Cherry begins to play as the fans cheer loudly. C.J. Gates quickly makes his way out of the back wearing his trademark cowboy hat and his“Go Big or Go Home” T-shirt. He bounces around at the entrance a bit before moving towards the ring, bouncing to the beat. Gates reaches the ring and slides in under the bottom rope before springing to his feet and climbing the nearest turnbuckle. He looks out at the fans before he raises his arms up in the air to a loud chorus of cheers from the fans. He climbs back down and removes his cowboy hat and carefully hands it off, before removing his t-shirt Paige: His opponent: from Fargo, North Dakota; he weighs 215lbs...C.J. GATES!Harvey: It wasn’t C.J.’s night at Mayhem, but he knows exactly what it takes to win Test For The Best, and nobody knows better than he does what this tournament can do for your career.Chase: Let’s be honest: Mayhem saw the end of his year-long fluke at the top of APW. Now it’s time for him to step aside and let someone more deserving like Terry Marvin or Johnny Rebel take the Undisputed Title from Kurt Noble.Test For The Best Qualifying Match C.J. Gates vs. Terry Marvin
As the bell sounds both men circle each the ring, and the only significant detail here is that one of C.J.’s arms is taped in bandage from the shoulder to the wrist, the effects of his epic battle with Kurt Noble at Mayhem. After several seconds of sizing each other up they come together into a collar-elbow tie-up, and Marvin leans all of his weight into C.J. weakened shoulder and gains the upper hand by spinning C.J. into a hammerlock. With C.J. controlled Tmarv runs him chest first into a turnbuckle, wrapping his arms around C.J. in a waistlock and pulling him back into a roll-up...
Harvey: Early pin attempt by the Overdrive Champion.
Chase: This one could be over here and now...
Harvey: No! C.J. kicks out on two.
Both men get to their feet and tease another tie-up but Tmarv slyly drives a knee into the midsection of C.J., doubling the former Undisputed Champ over, and then starts clubbing at C.J.’s heavily taped shoulder, forcing him down to one knee. Tmarv pulls C.J. to his feet and tucks his under C.J.’s armpit and tries to land a back drop suplex but C.J. rolls over Tmarv’s shoulder, landing on his feet. C.J. spins and connects with a toe kick to the midsection looking for a shoulder jawbreaker, but Tmarv counters by pushing C.J. away and ducking out of the ring under the bottom rope.
Harvey: A close call for Tmarv there; this one could have been all over had C.J. hit the jawbreaker right then.
Outside the ring Tmarv plays the heel, put a finger to his temple to try and play mind games with C.J., and baiting the crowd with shouts of ‘I’m better than him’. All the while C.J. is calling Tmarv back in to fight. This verbal back and forth eventually leads to a ‘Let’s go C.J./Tmarv sucks’ chant. This spurs on C.J. and he decides to put an end to all the posturing and go after his opponent. Tmarv reads this and is quickly on his back, staying a good half a ring length ahead of C.J. in the chase. After a full circle of the ring C.J. stops and decides to cut across the ring. Tmarv is halfway around the ring before he realises he isn’t being pursued, but this momentary pause allows C.J. to slide under the bottom rope and take him down with a baseball slide. Tmarv stumbles backwards and crashes into the crowd barrier. C.J. climbs out of the ring, grabs Tmarv and delivers a European uppercut that knocks the Overdrive Champ upright. Quick as a flash C.J. leaps onto Tmarv’s shoulders and drags him down with a hurricanrana. The crowd pop for C.J. and throws out some inaudible words to show his appreciation.
Tmarv is now getting back to his feet and his leaning against the ring apron. In the meantime the ref has been counting both men out and the count is at seven. C.J. grabs Tmarv by the head and delivers a few shots with a closed fist, rolls him back into the ring and follows to break the count on nine. Tmarv is quickly on his feet and trying to get away from the former Undisputed Champion, but C.J. bounces off the ropes and delivers a diving lariat that drops Tmarv; C.J. makes a quick cover...
1 . . . 2 . . Tmarv throws up a shoulder!
Harvey: The first near fall of this contest, and C.J. Gates is showing why he held the Undisputed Championship for over six months.
Chase: But you are conveniently forgetting the illegal use of the out of ring area by C.J. – that is what has given him the advantage in this match.
In the ring C.J. has whipping Tmarv into a corner and is delivering ten corner punches that the crowd are counting along with, for the tenth and final one, C.J. winds up the fist, drawing the energy of the crowd into it and plants and big shot right onto the forehead of the Overdrive Champion. C.J. wraps his legs around Tmarv’s head and delivers a second hurricanrana of the match. The crowd are getting right behind their favourite here and the energy is helping C.J. He climbs onto the top rope and when Tmarv gets back to his feet with his back to him C.J. connects with a missile dropkick to the back that pushes Tmarv forward and falls into a position where he is draped over the bottom rope facing the crowd. C.J. runs across looking for a springboard guillotine leg drop, but Tmarv rolls off the rope at the last possible second and C.J. bounces off the ring apron and crashes onto the floor outside the ring.
Chase: Once again the match intelligence, the ring presence and awareness of the Overdrive Champion, taking him to a new level.
Harvey: That was one of those ‘go big or go home’ moments that C.J. is so famed for.
Chase: And he went ‘big’ Harvey – a big flop like 500lb donut muncher in a diving competition. Now it’s just a matter of time before Tmarv sends him ‘home’.
Tmarv is back on his feet, once again milking it and drawing heat from the crowd, gesturing that he is so-much more intelligent than C.J. Gates and all those cheering for him. This kind of behaviour draws the appropriate heat. C.J. is getting back to his feet, but the sluggishness of his movements suggest he is in some pain after that hard landing. Tmarv, as one would suspect, is totally unsympathetic and after identifying his target connects with a double axe handle from the ring apron onto C.J.’s heavily taped shoulder, causing C.J. to drop to one knee and clutch his shoulder. Like a shark smelling blood Tmarv jumps in at the opportunity to take out his weakened prey and delivers another blow to the injured shoulder with a running knee, this time the momentum knocking C.J. over onto his back.
Tmarv grabs C.J. and lifts him to his feet, wrench the arm connected to the injured shoulder, causing pain to shoot through the joint and C.J. winces to acknowledge this. A headbutt from Tmarv adds confusion to the pain and a second later Tmarv whips C.J. injured shoulder first into the nearest turnbuckle. The ref, who has counted six on the count-out, issues a short warning to Tmarv and the Overdrive Champ rolls a reeling C.J. back into the ring.
Harvey: Tmarv has seized control of his match by manipulating and exposing that injured shoulder.
Chase: And why not, Harvey? If C.J. is going to come down here with a big target like that on his shoulder, then the smart thing to do is to pinpoint and attack it.
Harvey: Well, here’s a cover from Tmarv...two count, this one’s over...NO! C.J. kicks out.
Chase: And interestingly, it wasn’t his injured shoulder he threw off the mat.
Tmarv is now in full control of the match and he repeated punches the injured shoulder, after about seven or eight shots, he makes another pin attempt, but C.J. kicks out on two again. This is the mid-match pattern that emerges: Tmarv controlling the match with a methodical and sustained attack on the injured shoulder through a series of striking moves, including knee drops, elbow drops etc. Each time Tmarv scoring a near fall, but C.J. showing the heart that has made him such a top contender in APW. This assault culminates with Tmarv whipping C.J. through the middle and top rope into the turnbuckle, followed by a school boy roll-up that again C.J. kicks out of.
Harvey: This is a big effort by C.J. just sticking in this match, but every time he has to kick out you feel it’s less likely he will kick out of the next one.
Chase: It’s a patience game for Tmarv; he knows he just has to stay in control and wear down C.J. This match is his to lose.
But Tmarv is becoming frustrated and impatient with C.J. belligerence, and he berates the referee for what Tmarv perceives to be slow counts. Tmarv lifts C.J. and delivers a European uppercut, then whips him towards the corner again, but from somewhere C.J. musters the wherewithal to leap onto the top rope, spin towards Tmarv and connects with a shining wizard. The crowd pops and the cheers for C.J. start again, but he is so beaten down by Tmarv that he can’t make the cover as quickly as he usually would. He gets there eventually, draping an arm over Tmarv’s chest...
1 . . . 2 . . . Harvey: Is C.J. going to pull off a great comeback victory here? . . Harvey: NO! Tmarv kicks out!
Chase: He took too long, Harv.
Both men get to their feet, C.J. uses the ropes to get some momentum and looks for a spinning heel kick, but Tmarv ducks then moves in and takes C.J. down into a Show’s Over (Crippler Crossface).
Chase: This is it Harv! THE SHOW IS OVER!
Tmarv has a firm grip of the injured arm of C.J. between his legs and torques back his neck, pain shooting through every part of C.J. body around his neck and shoulders. Tmarv starts shouting at C.J. to tap, but the T4TB 2011 winner just does not have the phrase ‘give up’ in his vocabulary. After fifteen seconds of this hold Tmarv loses patience and relents, stomping about the ring to exorcise his frustration. C.J. starts getting back to his feet and Tmarv composes himself, blindsiding him and dropping again into the Show’s Over.
Harvey: I think this has to be it – how much more punishment can C.J. Gates take?
Chase: TAP! TAP! TAP!
But this time the move is locked in a lot closer to the ropes and C.J. gets a hand on the bottom rope quickly and therefore forcing Tmarv to break the hold.
Harvey: Terry Marvin has to be questioning what he has to do to win this match.
Chase: I think someone needs to call in the docs; I think C.J. is taking a lot more than vitamins.
Harvey: What the heck are you insinuating?
Chase: Just saying.
Tmarv, a picture of frustration, grabs the referee by the collar and backs him into a corner. He winds back a fist and is about to deliver a knock-out blow when C.J. drags him into a school boy roll-up
1 . . . 2 . . . Tmarv kicks out!
Both men are up quickly, C.J. tiredly swings an arm, Tmarv ducks and nails C.J. with a Side Effect, making the cover...
1 . . . 2 . . . Chase: This is it! NO! HOW DID HE DO THAT!
Harvey: C.J. Gates just will not give up here.
Tmarv lifts C.J. and sets him up for The Whiplash but C.J. gets out of the headlock, kicks Tmarv to the midsection and delivers his own version of the DDT – The Stamp of Approval. C.J. covers...
1 . . . 2 . . . Harvey: This has to be it! NO!
Chase: YES!
Harvey: Terry Marvin has just kicked out of the Stamp of Approval!
Now C.J. Gates is left looking frustrated, but he also looks like he has nothing left to give. However, C.J. Gates is no ordinary wrestler and he climbs to the top rope.
Harvey: I think we might be moments away from The Gatecrasher.
However, Tmarv shows great awareness to roll out of harms away and hide behind the referee, clutching at his trousers and pleading for sympathy because he has something in his eye. The ref tries to shake off Tmarv, but he holds on tighter and pleads more desperately.
Harvey: This is a pathetic display from our Overdrive Champion.
Chase: There is nothing pathetic about this – it’s genius!
Harvey: That’s a load of old balloons.
Chase: Truth always sounds like lies to a fool.
Harvey: But, wait a minute....what’s this?
From out of the crowd leaps “Stunning” Stan Everdeen, the less charismatic half of former APW Tag Team Champions, The Studmuffins.
Harvey: What is he doing out here?
C.J. has his eyes on Tmarv, which allows Stan Everdeen to stealthy climb onto the ring apron and pull down the top rope, causing C.J. to slip and hang himself split-legged on the top turnbuckle.
Harvey: What the heck is this all about?
“Stunning” Stan makes a quick exit up the ramp, Tmarv, not caring the slightest for Stan’s presence, climbs to the top rope and nails C.J. Gates with The Whiplash (Spinning Sitout Double Arm DDT).
Chase: WHIPLASH FROM THE TOP ROPE! DID YOU SEE THAT?
Tmarv covers C.J. and there are boos and jeers from the crowd as the ref counts...
1 . . . 2 . . . 3
Winner: “The Real Show” Terry Marvin Harvey: I can’t believe this! C.J. Gates is out of T4TB – he’s just been screwed by “Stunning” Stan Everdeen. Chase: But the real story is Terry Marvin has knocked out the Test for the Best 2011 Winner! What a guy! What a champion! Harvey: This is a ten ton wagon of crap! Tmarv’s music blasts, but he is quick to exit and carry on his celebrations up the ramp. This leaves C.J. Gates alone in the ring, he gets to his feet with a look of confusion on his face. It’s now beginning to dawn on him that he is out of Test For The Best, but what he doesn’t know is ‘why’.

We jump backstage where an injured Chris Hart is being escorted slowly down the hallway by Amy Noble and a few APW staff members. The Canadian looks to be only half-conscious as he is guided at the aid of others, while Amy looks on in distress at her friend.
Amy Noble: We’re almost there. Hang on, Chris, you’re gonna be okay. Just—just look at me, keep looking at me.
She tries to get Chris Hart’s attention, but the young man is oblivious to the world around him after the attack he suffered from the chair shots. Amy frowns and looks to one of the men helping Chris along.
Amy Noble: I think he might have a concussion. We need to hurry it up.
As the group carries on, they pass by a certain cigar-smoking figure who immediately perks up his attention like a dog and follows alongside them: Delikado.
Delikado: Oh, “a concussion”, huh? Check it out, world: a female scientist in the APW! Here, let Delikado tell you something about chair shots: they don’t hurt, at all. You should be a man like Delikado and walk it off, Hart, you pansy wiener dog of a CHICK!
Amy flashes a dirty glare to the Cuban, who puffs from his cigar with a grin.
Amy Noble: Get the hell away from us, Delikado.
Delikado: Hold the phone, girly. You don’t tell Delikado what to do. Now, c’mere.
He motions to her to follow him to the side for a second.
Amy Noble: No.
Delikado: C’MERE!
Amy Noble: NO!
Delikado: C’MERE! C’MERE! C’MERE!
He follows alongside the group continuously repeating his shout of “C’MERE!”, knowing full well it will annoy Amy and get her to cave.
Amy Noble: FINE!
Told you. Mrs. Noble places a hand on Hart’s shoulder and looks at him with genuine warmth and concern.
Amy Noble: I’ll be right with you in a sec, Chris. Just let me deal with this….idiot.
The staff escorts Hart away calmly as Amy walks over to where Delikado is chilling against the wall.
Amy Noble: What?
Delikado: Don’tchu “What?” Delikado, bitch. The Boss will tear your hair off and punch you. Hell, let’s just ignore the FACT! presented before us that you’re consoling your husband’s best friend above anything else. And after all the denied claims Deli Tee Vee made on you two…
Amy sighs in annoyance and folds her arms.
Amy Noble: He’s my friend, Delikado. I honestly don’t see why Chris or I should have to keep repeating that. You’re honestly the only one who acts like there’s something else there, when nobody else gives a crap.
Delikado: Settle down, Romeo and Juliet. As it turns out, Delikado’s become bored of all the drama created between you both. Hell, even if it’s true you’re screwing, Delikado just does not care anymore after he won and avenged his money at Mayhem. I’m already one step closer to winning my end of year award plaque for the art I’ve created this past month, so Delikado bids the issue of a love triangle between you, your husband, and “Can't take a chair” Barbie back there adieu.
Amy Noble: Wow. Well…uh…..thanks? I guess…Anyway, I—
Amy turns to leave, until Delikado reaches his hand out and grabs her arm.
Delikado: Ah, ah, one other thing. How would *you* like to bang Delikad now?
Amy’s eyes widen in shock and appalled horror.
Amy Noble: W-WHAT?!
Delikado: Yeah, yeah, think about it. Let Delikado paint you a picture even: you’re cold, lost, and hungry for attention after your boyfriend-mistress Chris Hart takes a weak shot and becomes a vegetable.
Amy Noble: But he’s not going to be a—
Delikado: DO NOT QUESTION DELIKADO! HE PAINTS!! Anyway, so you’re looking for some good ol dirty screwin, but you can’t get it from Chris because he’s a rotten gay vegetable. You look around, feeling certain this is the end of you without a husband sugar daddy or even a quasi-girl figure that might make you a lesbian…and that’s when you spot Delikado.
Delikado extends his arms at his side for dramatic purposes. Amy looks ready to vomit.
Delikado: The Boss, one you haven’t tasted in years, and who must SURELY be even more amazing and gigantic in bed as he’s evolved like a pro. So you throw aside any sense of subtlety…and we bunny rabbit it up! Look, Delikado’s even got the new camera!
He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a new camera like the one Chris Hart broke a few weeks back. The POS 1999-2.
Delikado: So we do it and videotape every sordid detail. With it, Delikado elevates himself even HIGHER up the APW food chain. It’s a guarantee Delikado will net every single APW end of the year award, and all the titles especially. Can you imagine it all!? Me! Delikado! Spell-binding, breakthrough APW legend-star! It’s like history! Present history, and it all starts with your legs!
Amy Noble: I’m not sleeping with you, Delikado.
Delikado’s shining, golden face drops in quality as these words pass by.
Delikado: But……but it’ll be history. Deli Tee Vee will be an entertainment behemoth the likes of which the world’s seen or heard of. And I mean c’mon, you sleep with a cripple for ratings, you sleep with a small-boy-girl-child for ratings…but when the ratings demigod shows up and offers you the chance to sleep with him for ACTUAL ratings that will ACTUALLY be garnered, you say no? Fuck you. You can’t say no. Delikado says no. Here I go, watch me say no. “No.”
Amy Noble: Good. See ya.
Amy turns to leave as Delikado realizes his reverse psychology didn’t work.
Delikado: *softly* Son of a bitch.
The Cuban, refusing to surrender his chance, rushes Amy and walks alongside her frantically.
Delikado: Clearly there’s something in this Detroit atmosphere that’s eating away at rationality between us. It’s fine, Delikado understands your morals are clouded, so he’ll make it easy. He’ll play on your most basic sense, the top-tier trait of a woman:
Delikado reaches into his pocket and pulls out…………….$8.50.
Delikado: The love of materialistic shit.
Mrs. Noble stops and stares at the money with a cocked eyebrow.
Amy Noble: What…what are you doing…?
Delikado: Delikado’s being a gentleman and offering you money to have sex with him.
Amy Noble: *scoff* I’m not going to have sex with you for money, let alone at all!!
She turns in a disgusted huff and walks away. Delikado scatters after her.
Delikado: Aw come on! Here, maybe money and a suave pick-up line will work: the word of the day is “legs”, so Amy Noble, you come to the bathroom with Delikado right now, and let’s spread that word!
Amy Noble: Stop it, you sick, sexist son of a bitch! I’m not sleeping with you for money, so just go away!
Police Officer: What’s going on here?
The two turn as a police officer walks into view. Amy points at Delikado in an accusing manner.
Amy Noble: This revolting asshole’s trying to coerce me into having sex with him!
Police Officer: Is this true, sir?
Delikado: Well, Delikado DID offer her $8.50. His own $8.50 even!
Police Officer: So you’re trying to buy a prostitute?
Amy Noble: I’m not a prostitute! I’m married to one of the APW champions, and I’m friends with another! I even have ID!
Amy shows a little backstage pass she has with her to the officer, who then turns to Delikado.
Police Officer: I see now. Sir, are you trying to sell this woman into the sex trade?
Delikado looks flabbergasted at this question.
Delikado: What?! No!!
Police Officer: Sir, it seems to me that you tried to lure this woman into the sex trade. You tried to sleep with her, with promises of money. If she’s not a prostitute you’re trying to buy, but an honest young woman working, then it sounds like the only other thing you could be trying to do is sell Mrs. Noble into the sex trade. I’m gonna need you to come down to the station for questioning.
The officer grips Delikado’s arm while the Cuban begins to panic.
Delikado: Whoa, whoa, hold the phone! There’s been a mistake! A conspiracy even! Delikado does not do sex trades! That would help others besides himself get sex! NO!! NOOOO!!! NOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Delikado turns to Amy as he being pulled away.
Delikado: AMY!! HELP DELIKADO!! HEEEEELLLLPPPP!!!!
Amy Noble: Go to hell.
Amy turns and walks away with a smile of satisfaction on her face.
Delikado: You WHORE!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Wait, wait!
Delikado frantically holds up his $8.50 to the cop’s face.
Delikado: Here! Take Delikado’s $8.50 and we’ll call it even! You don’t arrest me, and Delikado pays you!! It’s good honest business!!!
Police Officer: Sir, what that is, is you tried to bribe an officer of the law, which is a crime. I’m gonna have to ask you to put your hands behind your back.
A bug-eyed Delikado has his arms forcefully jerked behind his back as he’s put into handcuffs and lugged away. His $8.50 scatters all over the floor, but the fiery Cuban ignores it as he kicks and fights in a rage.
Delikado: YOU FUCKING PIG!! DELIKADO WILL RIP YOUR FUCKING HEAD OFF!!!!
Police Officer: That’s good, a death threat to the same officer of the law.
Delikado: I WILL EAT YOUR FAMILY!!!!
Police Officer: And his family. You will be going away for a long time.
Delikado: RRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGGGGGGGGGGGHHHH!!!
The insane Cuban’s roar echoes throughout the entire arena as he is hauled off-screen by the police officer. The camera pulls back to Amy as she stands there in amusement, but also confusion. She looks down at the dropped $8.50, chuckles, and picks it up, putting it into her own pocket as she walks away. She enters the room where Chris Hart is currently being attended to. Amy chuckles to herself as she talks aloud simply to one of the other staff members.
Amy Noble: Ha. So Delikado just got arrested for trying to sell me into the sex slave trade, bribing a cop, and threatening the cop and his family. All in about thirty seconds.
Chris Hart can be heard coughing weakly as he lifts his head up to everyone’s surprise. He smiles weakly.
Chris Hart: Heh. Who…..who do you think….sent the cop…? He…He owed me a favor…*cough*…I just helped fill his quota….
Hart doses off from the pain as Amy stands in shock at the revelation. A smile crosses her lips as she walks over to a chair next to Hart and sits down next to him. She watches the Canadian sleep soundly, realizing that Chris Hart has had the last laugh against Delikado, as we cut to black

Harvey: Welcome back to Overdrive and its time for our blockbuster main event of the night. Paige: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is your main event of the evening 'Give it all'' by Rise Against blasts the PA system as Level-One comes marching out to a chorus of boos. Standing behind him is his Syndicate Tag Team Partner Level One. They both hold their Tag Team titles high in the air for all to see. Paige: Introducing First, accompanied by his tag team partner Johnny Rebel… hailing from Toronto, Ontario, Canada and weighing in at 273 pounds, one half of the Tag Team Champions…. LEVEL ONE! Level One and Rebel walk to the ring with smug looks on their faces. They get in the ring and pose for the crowd with their belts raised high. Level One prepares in the ring and stares down the entrance ramp in anticipation of his opponent. Chase: All HAIL our new tag team champions! The APW is now officially a Syndicated Nation!Harvey: That is the scariest thing I have ever heard you say.The lights in the arena shut off, as the opening rhythm to "I Will Not Bow" blasts through the speakers. After a few moments, out steps Kurt Noble, eliciting a huge cheer from the crowd! He holds his Undisputed title high for all to see. Paige: And his opponent… Hailing from Calgary, Alberta Canada and weighing in at 235 pounds. He is the APW UNDISPUTED CHAMPION…..KURT NOBLE! Noble raises his cane into the air, and begins to limp down to the ring. Upon reaching it, Noble leaves his cane on the outside, and slowly walks up the stairs to the ring. He enters the ring, and climbs up on the turnbuckle, posing with his fist in the air as the cameras go off. Noble moves off it, as the lights return to normal and the music dies down.,,, Chase: And here comes the luckiest SOB in the planet, managing to get the pinfall on CJ Gates at Mayhem. He can’t be 100%Harvey: You’re right about that. He’s gotta be feeling the effects of that hellatious match with CJ Gates.Level One vs. Kurt Noble
Johnny Rebel comes over to Kurts side of the ring and gets on the apron jawing at Kurt. He takes a swing at the champion, and while Noble dodges it, it gives Level one time to grab him from behind, hook his head and neck and drop down causing Noble’s back to crash against his own. The crowd boos as Rebel hops off the apron, satisfied with his job well done. Level One kicks Kurt in the side and stomps the hell out of him as Kurt still doesn’t quite seem to be 100% after his grueling match at Mayhem. Level One notices this and takes immediate advantage as he grabs Noble by the legs and pulls him into the middle of the ring locking in a vicious looking Boston Crab that bends Noble completely in half!
Chase: Level One proving to be the superior athlete here as this one is as good as over folks.
Harvey: Superior? He’s taking advantage of a man after His buddy interfered to begin with. Rebel started this whole mess.
Level One pulls back hard as Noble tries to fight through it. He starts to crawl, using every single ounce of upper body strength he has. He gets to the ropes and with one last dive, grabs a hold of the bottom one. The ref is there to make Level one Break the hold, but L1 refuses. The ref starts his count.
1 . . 2 . . 3 . . 4 . .
Level One finally breaks it at the last possible instant as the Ref backs him into the corner and admonishes him. Level One gets in a screaming match with the ref, but there’s an odd smile on his face as we see that this is just a ploy to get Rebel some “alone time” with the champ. Rebel pulls Nobles head down on the bottom rope choking him until the second before the ref turns around.
Harvey: Now come on here! How is Noble supposed to compete with BOTH men? This isn’t a damn handicapped match.
Chase: First of all…EVERY match Noble is in is a handicap match! Second of all, he’s the Champion after all, shouldn’t he be able to take care of himself no matter the situation?
Level One now lifts up a lifeless Kurt Noble to is feet and drills a few hard rights and lefts into his face, backing him up into the corner. He grabs him by one arm and pulls him out into a HARD clothesline that turns Noble inside out almost sending him in a full backflip. He then makes the cover.
1 . . . 2 . . . KICKOUT!
Level one angrily pulls Kurt Noble to his feet and Drops him with a huge DDT. He then grabs his legs again ad tries for another Boston Crab. But Noble holds on to Level One’s leg as he tries to turn. Level tries to muscle him over, but Noble manages to kick Level One’s face… Grab and hook his leg and trip Level One down and goes for the Quixotic Lock!
Chase: NOOO!
Harvey: MY GOD! Noble out of nowhere with the Quixotic Lock!!!
Level One is very quick to the ropes to not even let Noble get it slightly locked in. Noble lets go and Level One is quick to pounce on him but Noble is there and ready for him with an Overhead Belly to Belly Slam. Level One lands hard but tries to quickly get to his feet. He turns around and Noble is there with a Mark of Nobility! He also makes a quick cover.
1 . . . 2 . . KICKOUT!
The crowd cheers loudly for a fired up Kurt Noble, but Rebel pounds the mat shouting for Level One to get up and do something! Noble pulls Level One to the center of the ring, grabs his left leg and drops an elbow across it. He does it again and again. He then grabs the leg and rolls Level one over. Lifts the leg up and DROPS the knee down hard on the mat. He turns Level One back around…lets out a “WHOOOOO” for nostalgia sake and goes for a Figure four. Level one kicks him off, but Noble comes off the ropes with a big boot to the seated Level one’s head and goes for the figure four again. This time he locks it in!
Harvey: Noble has the Figure four and Level One is stranded right there in the middle of the ring with nowhere to go.
Chase: Come on Rebel…DO SOMETHING!
Johnny rebel slides into the ring but the ref is right there and forces him to get out. Meanwhile Level One fights to get free, but has no where to go. All the fighting takes a toll and he lays back on the mat. The ref is right there to count.
1 . . . 2
Level one quickly sits up. He takes a couple wild swings at Noble, missing by a mile. He then begins to pound and beat on Nobles Legs, trying to pry them free. He does everything in his power to pull himself to the ropes but to no avail. The crowd boos loudly as Johnny Rebel slides a chair into the ring. The ref sees it and immediately picks it up and takes it to the corner to toss it out. While his back is turned, Rebel gets in side, grabs Level one and pulls him toward the ropes. Level One grabs them just as the ref turns around. He tells Noble to break the hold and has to count at it.
1 . . 2 . . 3 . . 4
Noble reluctantly releases the hold. He stands up and goes after Level One again who grasps onto the ropes. He calls the ref over who backs Noble off. Level One pulls the Ref down and is telling him about his bum knee…
Chase: Oh No! I think that illegal figure four that Noble applied may cause Level One to not be able to continue this contest.
Harvey: Oh come on. This is merely a stall tactic….OR A DISTRACTION TACTIC! Look At Rebel!
Johnny Rebel trips up Noble and pulls him to the outside. Noble takes a punch, but Rebel blocks it and knocks him down with a hard haymaker of his own. He then backs off as the ref turns around and sees Noble on the outside. The crowd boos as Level One smiles and rolls to the outside himself. He taunts Noble as he kicks him hard in the ribs causing him to roll around as the Ref starts his count.
1 . . 2 . .
Level one rolls in and out of the ring to break the count. He hoists Level to his feet and whips him hard into the barricade. Noble lands with his back against it and Level one charges hard burying the knee in Nobles chest and sandwiching him against the barricade. Meanwhile Johnny Rebel has the ref on the other side of the ring talking to him so he doesn’t see what Level One is doing. Level One pulls Noble to his feet and WHIPS him hard into the steel steps. Noble’s leg just cracked off those steps and he holds it in extreme pain.
Chase: I think the clumsy cripple just accidently stumbled into those steps!
Harvey: You’re disgusting you know that?
The ref is finally there and starts his count again.
1 . . Level One sets one of the stairs up and places it on the floor as he pulls Noble to his feet. . . 2 . . Level slaps Noble a few times and points at the stairs as the crowd boos. . . 3 . . Johnny Rebel gets on the apron AGAIN distracting the referee. Level One kicks Noble in the gut and sets him up for a power bomb as the crowd boos loudly.
Harvey: NO! don’t do this! You’ll kill him!
Chase: He’s half way dead anyways. This just reaffirms his love affair continuation with those steps from Mayhem.
Noble blocks the powerbomb attempt… then blocks the lift again as he shifts his wait and uses his momentum to lift level One up and BACK BODY DROP him across those steps. His leg bounces off the steel and the crowd goes completely nuts as Noble drops to his knees. Rebel looks in shock as the ref turns around counting again.
1 . . 2 . . 3 . . 4 . . Noble manages to pull himself up and rolls into the ring, and then back out to break up the count. He then slides Level one in the ring, but not all the way. He positions him near the steel post…takes his injured leg and SLAMS it off the ring post! Level one screams in pain as the ref yells at Noble to get back in the ring.
Chase: CHEATER CHEATER! Disqualify him ref!
Harvey: Noble is fired up now as your boy is DEFINITELY in trouble now!
