I thought it was a great post PPV show. Already you can see the feuds begin to develop heading into TFTB and the TFTB field is fucking STACKED!
This is gonna be a fun event.
More feedback later.

On the Overdrive side of things, the TFTB seems stacked, as Marvin said. Marvin, Saint, Harris, Dionysus, Delikado and Assassin all going through with another chance happening in a few weeks with other big names. Definitely a star studded field and they are going to be some tough matches.
Overall, I enjoyed the show. There were some good feuds developing for T4TB and allowing that PPV the maximum amount of build for the respective matches. I enjoyed the matches and the write ups, and even enjoyed some of the segments that were scattered throughout. Definitely had the feel of a show where a lot of people wanted to start getting things cooking for the next month, and establishing themselves a spot in a feud or with a match for the PPV.
Congrats go out to all of the winners, and to those advancing on in T4TB. It's definitely an awesome event to be a part of!

Surprised at the low amount of feedback. I'm usually really slow in mine, so I'll up the pace a bit by doing it now. May 31st Overdrive Critique I actually didn't write the opening, so I'd like to really tip my e-fed hat to James (Chris Hart) for capturing the egotistical side of Noble that I've been trying to push. Good opening segment to really begin setting the stage! I originally thought there were too many interviews, but it makes sense in context. I assume very few people have a TftB feud established because of the tournament, so the best path to take is to hype yourself and your match. Shout-out to Harris for taking a slightly different route and building a nice story to go along with it. The Biggs return is a great moment. It was pretty much guaranteed after Mayhem, but that didn't diminish the anticipation for this segment. Glad to see him back, although it does suck to see a dwindling number of tag teams with Shadow/Slade split as well. Nice to see Stan also play a part on CJ/Tmarv. Marvin continues to be a BAMF. No surprises here. My brother is such an oddball, ha. Nice segment there to give the show a humorous note. Speaking of segments, it's a bit disheartening to not see some of the major angles from Mayhem get touched on, but seeing segments from Harris/Hart/etc. fills that gap. Props to the Main Event writer! I believe it's Tmarv, who definitely sold Noble's injures/moments from Mayhem, which I loved. Overall, I felt like this was a really solid week in setting up TftB. I saw this week as an extension of the PPV: We saw some of their feuds get touched on lightly, and the matches told the story for the night. I wouldn't say the show was light on segments, it was just a bit lighter on stories, since we spent the last month seeing every feud have development every week. What I'd like to see now is mini-fueds developing between the TftB competitors. I know we don't have a solid list yet, but even just little segments for hype would be nice now that interviews are out of the way. Again, a solid week that sold TftB and will hopefully receive more build over the two week stretch.

I think this was a pretty solid show - it had the natural come down coming off of the pay per view and I think the next one may be slow as well as people are focused on Test for the Best as their main storyline as opposed to building a unique feud. I mentioned to Nick Watson in the chat and I'll do the same here - for the people in the Test for the Best get partnered with someone in a feud. It'll power your writing heading into the event - as well as providing a fall back plan because naturally only a few people are going to make it through. Talk to Jeff and get sorted because that's what really made the Overdrive's last month was the great feuds we had going in - and it made Mayhem an absolutely stellar pay per view.
For the show itself I think the matches were well written but I found at some points that the fact these were big matches was kind of overlooked. I tried to do it with the commentators in my match but I expected more of an emphasis on the Test for the Best in them. Segment wise I think there were some pretty good work. The Real Deal show was a highlight for me - excellent heel work from Terry Marvin who's absolutely on fire. Everything this man is touching is turning to gold at the moment. He's got to be my pick for Test for the Best. I also liked the amount of closure that was given to things coming out of Mayhem with Noble/Gates, Harris/Dionysus/ Delikado/Hart and Marvin/Saint. Finally, really liked the storyline with Rebel/Craven with Test for the Best - it makes a ton of sense and builds a good angle for the next show to expand upon.
One of the things that I didn't like were the past tense in some of the segments. It just throws me off as a reader hearing about what happened, and then what's happening. Overdrive is broadcast live and so everything should be occurring in the present tense.
The other thing that I didn't like was the fall of AC Smith. Match results influence a character yes, but he came in with so much hype that I feel let down having invested in a character as a reader. I just think that even if the match results aren't there the persona he built up should've been continued to be improved upon - not quickly forgotten as merely a hype tool because he's essentially become a faceless character to me now.
