(OOC: Not sure if this RP is going to count for the PPV, but I figured I would post it. Sorry to John and Jeff about this)
Tony: One Metropolitan Square….you know it’s the tallest building here in St. Louis.
The APW Xtreme Champion turned to the borrowed APW cameraman, trying to make a conversation. The worker only shook his head, here only because Jeff would fire him if he had said no.
Camera Dude: Yo…I’m not here because I want to, so fuck the small talk and lets just get to business. Why the hell are we riding a elevator to the top of this building anyway?
Tony: To shoot a promo…
The camera operators eyes went slightly wide. Apparently Tony was going for some power behind his words, using a tall building once again to make a point. The elevator stopped at the top floor of OMS, leaving Tony and the crew member to walk up to the roof and set up. As the Camera Dude set up his equipment, Tony pulled his Xtreme title out of a duffle bag. He carefully placed the weapon and symbol on his shoulder, making sure he didn’t get hurt in the process.
CD: You im ready…..prick….
The on loan operator muttered the last part under his breath, hoping the Brawling Behemoth know as Tony Black did not hear him. Unfortunately, Tony did, and he shot the weak worker a death glare that even the reaper himself would shit about a ton of bricks due to. Tony stood in front of the camera, his back to the city and St., Louis Arch. The Operator turned his camera on and took a seat. He didn’t care about this shit, he just wanted to get paid…
Tony: Hello. For those of you who don’t know me, I am Tony Blackwell, War Priest of Kaos and your Xtreme Champion. At Test For The Best I face former APW World Heavyweight Champion John Green in a Barbwire match for my championship. John, you have made a wrong choice in your title hunt. Instead of grabbing the Overdrive title, or ATTEMPTING to challenge Kenny for the Heavyweight belt, you decided to come after me. Wrong choice my dear friend, for you see in my matches I am allowed to hurt my opponents. Hell I could kill you in our match and I would walk away free.
The Deadly Duke waved his hand to the background.
Tony: Soon this beautiful city will have one of the most deranged and bloody matches ever arranged play out. A barbwire match for the title. Fitting, considering this belt is becoming more barb wire than anything else. But what of my opponent, Mr. John Green. He is a former APW World Heavyweight Champion….that’s it. He has no other claims tto fame here in this company. Now, being the champ is great, and I tip my hat to the man for doing it. But times have changed since he left us back at Rasslemania. I have grown stronger, have been sharpened by the competition and training I have had to endure. I earned this belt against the most hardcore and sadistic man I know, my brother Trevor. Not only that but I have defended it against top competitors like Michael Lively, Vin Lambardo and….well those are the only guys that matter. You see John, I don’t run from actual competition. No, I thrive when a challenge is given. So give yourself any mission, any cause to fight for, it will not matter. At Test For The Best, I will walk out champion. If I cant walk, I will crawl….and if I am unable to crawl I will be carried. I am willing to die for this belt and my stable. And I am defiantly willing to kill for it to.
Tony raised the Xtreme belt into the air, letting the Gateway Arch clash in the background with it.
Tony: John, you say I cost you a title shot, but in reality I did no such thing. You where the idiot who trusted another man enough to turn your back in him. Could you have won if I didn’t interfere? Maybe yes and maybe no, but we will never find that out. John, I saved you from yourself. You see, the business is not just about physical warfare. There is a mental battlefield as well, one you are not ready to fight in. What if you won that match and the whole tournament? Could you handle being Kenny Lambardo’s number one contender? Could you handle once again fighting for your life and the belt against the Kaotic God himself? No, because you don’t have the mental toughness needed. In time you will gain that, and one day you will be champion. But that time is not now.
The Xtreme Champion lowered the belt back down and turned his back to the camera, looking out into the St. Louis skyline.
Tony: You do have one thing going for though…and that thing is heart. You want to win, want to succeed and become the best you can be. In your entire body you want to beat me at my own game. But how does it feel to want John? You see, heart alone cant beat me. I eat, breath and shit hardcore everyday of my life. You are out of your element! And you think that a wee bit of pride and heart is going to destroy me? You are wrong Johnny boy. I fight for all of the down trodden little brothers of the world, for all the people who have just recently emerged from the shadow of another. I stand side by side with the greatest collection of superstars ever seen. You? You are alone, holding onto your underdog status and heart.
Tony turned back to the camera, staring into it for a few seconds before continuing.
Tony: You probably are watching this thinking “ Tony, I have a pin over you. I beat you once and I can do it again!”. HAH! Your pin fall over me was not your doing. Daniels and Katrina beat me the entire match before you got the pin. You barely lifted a finger to hurt me. Besides, one win over me doesn’t make you better. That incident was in the past, and I have grown stronger since then. I have watched you fight, learned all of your tricks and moves. I will know every move you make before you even do. So hold onto that victory over me, for you will never get another. Oh, and one last thing. Jealousy over another is not always a bad thing. Since you claim to say I am jealous over you for “beating” me, let me remind you that emotion is a tool, a weapon to be used. And Jealousy is a very strong emotion, one that has toppled empires and ended careers. Good night John Green, sleep tight knowing your life and career are about to end.
