A rumor is going around currently that Mr. Main Event will be at Overdrive on Thursday, not just for an appearance, but for a huge announcement. The rumor, which has started up two weeks ago when Philadelphia was named to be the next destination for Overdrive, focuses mostly on Mr. Main Event appearing on show, but the rumors as to what his announcement could be are quite vague and varying. One rumor states Pence wants back into professional wrestling in some way shape or form, but how can a man who has an arm that could give out at any moment be capable of competing in professional wrestling? Or better yet how could Pence return to Overdrive even if he wanted to?

Further rumors have popped up over the internet over night about the announcement and how it could pertain to perhaps Mr. Main Event giving the mantle of "Mr. Main Event", a mantle that he has held for several years, to Nick Watson as a sign of faith in his talents, and abilities, but this in fact could just be a rumor in itself. Nick Watson has struggled as of late to find his way on Overdrive and because of that a second rumor has stated the announcement may have to pertain to Nick Watson jumping ship to one of the other brands. This, however, seems unlikely. The third has Pence pleading for a position on Overdrive's staff in some way shape or form, as Pence is believed to be unable to wrestle as of now due to injury, but the third rumor seems to have some weight. Reports have spoken about Pence's want back into APW for about a month now and Pence being an active part of the APW Overdrive staff or competing would give Overdrive a ratings bump.
The fourth and final rumor, however focuses on Pence announcing he may be able to compete in the near future if the stars align in the right way. Pence going to either Asylum, Overdrive, or Meltdown would be an instant ratings hike due to his fan support and ring presence alone. More as this story develops.
