Following his controversial victory over Anthony “The Promise” Bailey to capture the APW Tap Out Title on Asylum last night, “Quintessentially English” Julius Farquhar had these words to say.
“Alongside Agincourt, Waterloo, D-Day and the Falklands, history will include this among the greatest of all English military victories. I promised I would deliver for Queen and country, and I did exactly that. Now Anthony Bailey can go around giving anecdotal testimony of the power of the ‘Windsor Knot’. I proved that an eagle will always soar, while a pig keeps his face in the trough. This is undoubtedly the greatest day in the history of Asylum. Can you hear that sound? That is fate’s trumpeters signalling the victory and the unstoppable march of ‘The Quintessentially English Empire’. Now that I have possession of this belt everyone will be forced to submit and tap out; everyone will be forced to PAY HOMAGE!”
When questioned about the involvement of Manservant, Mr. Farquhar was coy and dismissive, denying any knowledge of his former employee’s interference. Another reporter asked about Mr. Farquhar’s ‘special’ wrestling attire for the match and whether this would become a regular feature. The answer came in form of a whole pot of tea smashed over the journalist’s head. Mr. Farquhar had no further comments to add.
