We may not be numerous here at Camp Callahan but the few of us that do reside in our own little corner of the internet dedicated to Asylum's pro-life hunk, Michael Callahan tend to be nerdy statisticians and all around geeks for numbers and with that in mind we've compiled some interesting facts.
What we've learnt is that Michael Callahan has been so far Suicidal/Pro Life Champion for an impressive 140 days or 20 weeks for those of us who like smaller numbers at the expense of sounding less impressive. Since winning the Suicidal Championship in his debut match at Survive and Conquer in a match which included such high calibre competitors as Arcadia, Odin Balfore, Manhattan White and Phil Atken he's been on an impressive run including a seventeen week undefeated streak ended only by a controversial loss to Overdrive's Terry Marvin followed by another loss to TRI partner Chaz Dillinger. Needless to say he's been impressive as Hell since his arrival.
Along this roller coaster of a journey in which our beloved smiling Republican has fended off a number of opponents, Callahan has made it no secret he yearns to be the longest reigning Suicidal Champion of all time* and with a 140 he's certainly cutting it close. The current record however just barely escapes him with only two weeks to go. Well with 14 days to beat that conveniently places Callahan's record breaking attempt will all depend on whether or not he has to defend his title at the next episode of Asylum. Given however that Callahan is already scheduled to face Calvin Ingram at Test for the Best we doubt it's the case so it looks as good as gold that Callahan will be able to realise his dream and be the longest reigning Suicidal Champion evarrrr!
With that said there's another curious element to this particular run of statistics and that's the parallel title reign of Jason Kash who won back the World Heavyweight Championship from Nathaniel Havok the same night Callahan debuted and won his belt is still going on strong despite facing equally impressive competition. Naturally, Kash's reign at the top is also 140 days long but the record for longest reigning World Heavyweight Champion is held by James Chambers (who won the belt the same night Rico did at Massacre at 34th Street) who held the belt for a grand total of 196 days or 28 weeks, the longest reign of any single championship on the Asylum brand.
So while Kash will be looking to break Chambers record and cement himself as not just the most dominant World Champion but also the longest reigning champion of any belt in Asylum history, Callahan will no doubt have his mind set on the same goal. The questions that arise are nmerous. Will both Kash and Callahan make it that far? What happens if they do? Who will be the first one to slip and lose their gold to allow the other way for the longest reigning championship of all time? Will it be one of these men who both have clear aspirations for the others belt be the one to dethrone the other? So many questions to ask, so many statistics. So little time. My head asplode.
What do you think? Do you think I have too much time on my hands? Leave a message in the comment section below.

*: Callahan's already the most dominant Pro Life Champion of all time because he's both the creator and the only person to hold the belt. His reign is 70 days long, exactly the same as his Suicidal reign.
