Our scene opens in Dita Morgan’s loft apartment, the feel to the rooms are light and airy with a few unique or should we say kitsch elements to the design. Scattered on the shelves in the main room are souvenirs from Dita’s around the world treks and photos.
A barefoot Dita, dressed in a long sleeve soft blue top that clings to her curves and a pair of matching shorts walks out of the bedroom. Her messy hair falls in her eyes as she makes her way to the kitchen area.
While she boils the kettle she looks at the photos and letters on the fridge door.
She sees a photo of her and Kat Westwood smiling at the camera, she remembers when that was taken, at an AKA party, she grabs the photo of the fridge and rips in half before throwing it in the bin. Her eyes settle on another photo, clearly she didn’t know this one was being taken, again at another party. This one is slightly blurry but whoever took it was trying to be arty taking black and white photos, but you can still see its her and Shadow, she can’t bring herself to throw this one away and returns it to the fridge.
She makes her tea and walks into the main room and she settles on the huge grey sofa, setting her drink down on the table and pulling a thin comforter around her. She sighs and thinks about the the match this week.
Dita Morgan: This week I can’t think of a more conflicting match to be in. Teaming with Shadow to take on Benny and Cameron Wolves.
I think we all know how torn I’ll be this week.
She sighs.
Dita Morgan: Shadow, I have so many memories, how hard you worked with me to make me a better wrestler, you were there when I fell, when I had to take some personal time to get healthy again, you’ve been with me every step of the way. I know I’ve made mistakes, I’ve runaway but I always came back. You’ve always been there, you know me better than anyone. Maybe I’ve relied far too much on you in the past. Maybe it is time for me to try things on my own? I’ve always tried not to hurt you with my actions.
You’ve always had and always will have a special place in my heart, but we’ve played this game too many times. I’ve runaway, I’ve hurt you too many times. I couldn’t be more torn on how I feel right now. In my wildest dreams, I never thought I'd have to make a choice like this.
Dita gets up and walks to the window and looks outside.
Dita Morgan: Its true I have spent time with Benny recently, we’ve hung out but its still something thats not got a label. Its just... I really don’t know.
But this week I’ll be stepping into the ring against you. Which is fine, we’ve both faced each other before and in our careers we’re bound to do it again. It’ll be good for us, it’s been a while since our match, so time for us to see how far we’ve come since then. We both knew we’d have to face each other again anyway so why not sooner?
She brushes her hair out of her eyes and makes her way back to the sofa and sits down again, taking a sip of her drink.
Dita Morgan: I know Shadow has a lot of, well hatred towards you and this wouldn’t be the easiest match for me to watch let alone be involved in. I know thats mainly my fault. But this is work, and I’m trying my hardest not to let the personal not get in the way.
She lets out a little laugh, she knows thats not going to happen - this match is totally going to get personal.
Dita Morgan: Cameron, you may feel a little out of place in this match, there’s a lot of history and background going into this, but don’t worry I haven’t forgotten you’ll be there. We’ve done this before and I wont be hiding behind my partner, when we face off I have no problem mixing it up with you.
Going into this match Shadow and I do have a slight upper hand, we’ve worked with each other so often, we know how to work with each other as a team. But Benny and Cameron? There’s not going to be a lot of team work there. Shadow and I can work together to bring home a win in this match. So Monday night will be a very interesting night, see you all in the ring.
Dita once again pulls the comforter around her shoulders and makes her way to the bedroom as the scene fades out.
