June 25th's edition is in the books, ya'll. Leave your feedback here!
Thanks to Envi, Lively, Farquhar, TJ, Stryker, Shadow, and Benny Horrowitz for sending in segments.
Thanks to Envi, Shadow, Jules and Callahan for writing matches.
Next card should be up sometime tonight or early in the AM (hopefully). I'm confident that I got everything in the card that was sent in but due to me being absent from the boards for a couple of days, it's possible I missed something. If I did, let me know ASAP, and I'll add it in and make sure you get credit.
Thanks!

Great show
- Loved the opening, but my one problem is, why did Evan not go on with what he was gonna say? I get the fact he's upset and disgusted, but, he just left...
- I wanna thank Jules for giving me a chance to work with him, I love the Farq character and TJ is about the perfect foil for him, maybe Kash is better, but I'd prefer TJ.
- I think we had, 6 no-shows? A good match written for the Borderland, a squash, but with a different ending from the two from last week, having Borderland counter his opponent for a win.
- I don't get the Stryker segment with nachos.....I may be missing something, but I didn't get it.
- My match was written well, but my only qualm is, I just beat two guys at once, handedly and it takes one chair shot to knock me out cold. I'm not mad I got knocked out cold, happy actually, gives me something to build off of, but one shot?
- Solid segment between Dita and Shadow. Furthered the story between the two of them and Benny.
- Helluva match. Everything about it was great. The ending just put an interesting twist on the Wolves/Horrowitz feud.
- Well, looks like that puts to rest any potential heat between shadow and benny...for now. The line at the end about Benny not being able to be caged....hahaha!
- Congrats to Raab for winning. It was a great match to read. Keep up the good work and you'll give whoever is the champ a helluva run.
- Helluva Main Event, great back and forth. And I'm excited for TFTB for Evan, Carmen, and Steve.
Overall a great show

TJ - I'll take the fall for the chairshot. I was trying to get some "heat" back for Bacon after TJ dominated the match and that's the first thing that came to mind.
I'm looking forward to a TJ/Bacon rematch next week.

Great show, Envi showed a bit of Face in him to me in the opening but against Lively I guess that makes sense. I have to play Heel to Bailey so sometimes it makes sense and I'm sure Envi can Light It Up as a Face like he does a Villain.

I haven't put any segments up for Stefan since his debut in APW mainly because I couldn't think of anything to do with him but now I really have to do that since he is the number 2 contender for the North American title not number 1 just yet cos Carmen is at the moment but next week and the day of the title match I will put something up for him. I will try my best to put out my full effort into the title match especially it's actually the first title match I have had with this character since started RPing as him back in March. Thank you for the congrats TJ as I didn't expect to even be in this number one contender match but expect the unexpected as the saying goes.

Props all-round, and especially to Rebel for putting it all together, a solid if unspectacular Meltdown. I think Soul's rundown accurately reflects much of my thoughts, so I'll keep this brief.
HITS -Envi/Lively. I hope there is a follow-up with the fan. -Some story advancement (Callahan/Shadow/Dita) -Solid matches
Misses -Lack of segments -Stryker's segment. If you want to cement your heel like status, cook up something with someone on the roster, bro. This segment was just odd - why is Stryker serving people food? I thought you might have done some Stryker hyping T4TB since he is the only Meltdown wrestler in the tourney. -No shows always hurt.
Got to say well done to Evan Envi because this guy is carrying more than his share of the load. Dude can't be far away now from joining whichever show he wants to join. A shining example that EVERYONE on the roster should follow.

Well, first of all, I was drinking when I wrote the segment. But, secondly, what I've been pushing lately is my disdain for the fans. So, I didn't expect people to think that I was serving food for any other reason than to poor hot cheese on someone.
Originally, I planned on having a series of these where I showed up somewhere with fans and then did something to torment, embarrass, or attack them. Never anything overboard, but enough to be funny and really push home the fact that I don't like the fans.
I had a busy week so I didn't have time to organize with someone else on the roster as I initially wanted to do. Then I tried to get a segment with Lively but that was also too last minute.
Since Meltdown always needs segments, I wrote that one up real quick thinking it would be funny, and would be something to break up the show. Last week I was very serious and pissed off at the fans, so I thought this week I'd take it to a level of now I'm just going to get back at them.

Okay, at least I can see it from your point of view now. However, you have to tread carefully here. If you went to a WWE event and one of their wrestlers deliberately poured hot cheese over you you're gonna sue their ass. Even though we're writing fiction we still don't want to stretch that suspension of disbelief too far. You can easily rectify this to sell the fact that APW doesn't condone its talent assaulting fans, and even use it to further your angle that Stryker hates the fans. Although, a slowly slowly approach would have had more impact I think. Every week the fans do something that annoys Stryker in increasing increments each week before he completely blows up about it. Well, that's an idea at least.

Well, I understand that. But my thought was that kayfabe it was a fan, but in real life it was just an actor planted there to progress the story.
I never considered it being an actual random fan that would sue APW. Again, it was meant as a jokey segment to play off my character and his dislike with the fans.

In Steve's defense, you have to suspend the belief that someone who suffered such a fate would be a plant. Especially since Stryker was working concessions (for some odd reason). Steve an idea to further your character would be: have Diamond trying to find you a type of community service that DOESNT involve humilating a "fan," as punishment for his actions last week. Still Stryker hits his tipping point and does something to earn more community service.

I agree that the premise didn't make any sense. But c'mon, I was drunk!

The rules of kayfabe are slightly different in e-fedding to real pro wrestling, since the premise of the game has always seemed to me that our characters are not muscled up ballet performers, but real fighters in a genuine combat sport. So the point about plants doesn't work....unless Stryker put the kid there to be humiliated.
Anyway, I think we're getting way too deep into this, and that is probably my fault.
At the end of the day, seems like Stryker was just having a bit harmless fun with his character. ;D

Quick question. The next card is supposed to go up sometime today, so there is another Meltdown before the PPV?

Quick question. The next card is supposed to go up sometime today, so there is another Meltdown before the PPV? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe that the next Meltdown takes place the day after T4TB. Meltdown only has 3 competitors on the card (Envi, Rivera & Stryker), so it's not as though it'd be strenuous to most of the roster.

Theres a show next week and the night after T4TB. Even thought 3 people from Meltdown are booked for Test for the Best, this is the opertunity for other people to shine
