It was almost here. Dante had recently been given the news that he was going to be appearing in his first match. The match was going to be the opening performance for the show in Dallas, Texas. Also, the match is going to be a triple threat match. Wait...WHAT! A TRIPLE THREAT MATCH!!!! Why the hell would his first match be one with two other superstars. Why couldn't it be a normal one on one match. That was seemingly the norm for debut matches, not triple threats. In a triple threat match, the chances for victory was lower than fifty percent, a chance he was not so eager to take. Dante, up until this point, had been preparing to square off against a single opponent. Obviously, when the news arrived, he was not too pleased. However, now that he knew what type of match he was going to be walking into, he could better prepare himself. And better prepare he would. There was no way he going to lose his match. This one would be the first of many matches to come and it was ideal to start on a good note. The yound male would nod a the thought of this.
Now, what would be a good was to start off. Oh, thats right. Know who you are up against. That would be a good way to start. So, remembering back to when he was first informed. The names Mike Foxx and Mr. Dangerous came to view. Yeah...that was it. Dante would take a moment to think. How could you prepare for a person, but they are just as new as you? He was referring to the one who was called the "Main Event" Mike Knoxx. The guy seemed to be an arrogant one, but this belief was just based on his name. Not once had he met the man so he couldn't have known. The only way he could confirm this was by waiting to face him. As stated earlier, the guy was a new face just like him. That meant, Dante would just have to roll with the flow. Something, he would have no problem doing. As he stayed seated in his locker room in front of a t.v screen, he retrieved a couple of tapings on Mr. Dangerous, who was not so new to the ring. He would watch them later. For now, he would just wait. His head was just too wrapped up in everything happening. Perhaps he was just thinking too much about it?
The room was silent. It wouldn't last long though, because a blonde would come into the room. A camera man would also enter. Here we go, another interview. Dante would fake a smile as his thoughts were confirmed. The camera man would signal the blonde to start. That was quick. The multi-colored haired male would stand up and acknowledge them both. As he nodded his head to indicate that he was ready, it was started.
"Hannah Storm here and I am with the newcomer Dante. Now Dante, this is you first match and you know what to expect right? How do you feel?"
Of all questions, 'How do you feel'. Well, he wasn't feeling super confident, but he was confident enough that he would win. Besides, why wouldn't he be confident? He was facing a newcomer and an "experienced wrestler", who wasn't on a good wave of wins. Dante would quickly shake the first-time ever goosebumps he had earlier and pull himself together.
"I feel great. I obviously have to be on my toes when going up against Mike Knoxx. I haven't seen him in action yet, but its nothing I can't handle. Mr Dangerous...? I'm sure he won't be too much of a factor."
The words were spoken with confidence. That was good. The last thing he wanted was to sound like he was already counting himself out. He needed to be strong. His eyes illustrated this new resolve. He would then listen to the next question.
"Well, you seem pretty sure of yourself. How much does this match means to you?"
"Like I said before, it means alot. It gives me a chance to begin my journy in APW. It is the starting point of my career. A win here would definently give me a nice boost. To cut this thing short, I'm gonna go out there and give the two of them a hell of a fight. And...I intend to come out on top."
With that, Dante signaled an end to the inteview. He felt pumped up now, a complete opposite from a coule of minutes from before. He had given himself some self-motivation and was ready to roll. With a smile on his face now, he collected his travel bags and walked to the car. It was now time to head to Dallas, Texas, where his first test will be located.
