Two hundred and thirty-six years ago, fifty-six men from thirteen miniscule colonies gathered inside of the Assembly Room in Philadelphia’s Independence Hall and declared their independence from Great Britain. I commend these delegates for such courageous actions and their sacrifice, for the most part, has not been in vain. Moral deficiency has plagued mankind since the beginning of time but unfortunately, it seems as if present day America boasts in theirs. Infidelity, drug abuse, unethical practices, and even “harmless” matters such as gluttony is tolerable and if you think otherwise, you must quickly modernize your Stone Age way of thinking and get with the program.
But if that’s what getting with the program looks like, then leave me off of the itinerary. It is this postmodern mindset that has me cooped up inside of the St. Augustine Police Department when I should be out somewhere enjoying some barbecue and fireworks with family and friends. It is this postmodern mindset that can possess a man to break into the confines of your home while being filmed on camera and then refer to you as a “snitch” when you are simply hoping to bring justice and correction to the situation.
I cannot begin to become discouraged by my surroundings. If America does not presently reflect what the Second Continental Congress had intended, then I cannot sit back and naturally point the finger. I must begin to make a resolve, first internally then externally. Jason Andrew Kash is only a small quantity of what is wrong with this country, but a resolve will be made…either here in this police department or this coming Sunday. The result of it all falls on me.

Anthony stood on the frontier of one of his most vital decisions ever. Could he actually press charges and put Jason Kash behind bars? Yes, constitutionally he was able but Anthony likes to think long term. What would his fans think? What would Kash’s fans think? How would Jeff or Reginald treat him if he were the one responsible for putting one of their biggest megastars behind bars? He didn’t want to let the opinions of others influence his decision but their opinions were not to be disregarded all together.[/color]
Anthony "The Promise" Bailey: I…I…do not want to press charges. I want to let providence deal with Jason Kash not the law.

I’m so glad that is over with. Jason Kash’s antics will not ruin my holiday and my time to reflect on the humble beginnings of this country that I love dearly. But aside from the fireworks, the food, plans to attend the beach, or even wearing red, white, and blue something else struck me. In light of today, I decided to propose a challenge to you all. Feel free to label me as unpatriotic or whatever you’d like, but really try to understand where I am going with this. I’m sure you all have heard the heartfelt song “America the Beautiful” countless times throughout your life. Katharine Lee Bates and Samuel A. Ward will always be remembered for this timeless composition. But I want to inquire deeper about what message the song is trying to convey…is America truly beautiful? Is the America we abide in on a daily basis beautiful or is the America on paper, the America that grants certain rights, liberties, and opportunities, beautiful?
It’s basically a rhetorical question, but if I could answer I would say no it isn’t. America, if you wanted me to be honest and not sugarcoat anything, is not beautiful. Our jails and prisons are packed, our high school dropout rate is sky high especially among minorities, marriage divorce cases are filling our courts to their capacity, we are demolished in mind with drugs and drunkenness, we are broken in anatomy with all kinds of sexual perversion, and we are afraid to let our children saunter the streets and play because of what sexual predators might do to them. Where is America beautiful? Unless I missed something or am ignorant of the facts that I just presented, I will stand by my opinion. You don’t have to agree with me but you should look at the evidence and come to a logical conclusion on your own.
It’s not legitimate of me to attribute all of this country’s woes to one man, but to say that Jason Kash is not apart of the problem would be ludicrous. Him and people that share his worldview are most certainly aiding to the issue at the speed of light and I am not having any of it. Though everything in me wants to pen to my own song entitled “America the Atrocious,” I still haven’t given up hope. This country has potential to once again be great if the right people step up and lead. As much as I attempt to be the harbinger of truth, I cannot do this by myself nor am I even trying to do so. I know that I’m a mortal man even when Kash makes me look like some kind of cloistered monk who just sits inside of his house all day meditating.
Anthony is proud to be an American and wouldn’t have wanted to be born anywhere else. He’s tough on America and its immoral direction not because he loathes it, but because he cares deeply for it. The father who disciplines his children does it out of love and not spite.[/color]
I eat, sleep, and breathe just like the next man and though I stand out from the crowd, I am just like the next man. But I possess something that the average man does not…a platform and influence. There are a lot of influential people in my community. From the young married couple who cook food and feed the homeless every weekend all the way to the widowed father who adopts orphans and shows them a lavish life that they never even dreamed of. Those people have a tremendous amount of influence here locally but what they do not have is a pervasive platform to share their hearts. They will probably never be featured on CNN or in Time Magazine. But for some unknown reason, I was destined to be where I am currently at and doing what I am currently doing.
I’m not providing some false Obama like hope to turn this country around for the better, but what I am saying is that my win over Jason Kash for the World Title at Test For The Best this Sunday will spark a revolutionary chain reaction from sea to shining sea. From the Atlantic to the Pacific, people will not only be celebrating my victory with me, but they will be inspired…inspired to do better in life and start making commendable and long term changes in their lives, schools, jobs, and communities. I am not the entity looking forward to planning the biggest after party of the decade and ordering bottles upon bottles of liquor to celebrate my winning of the World Heavyweight Title. I will celebrate but my celebration will come long after my time here in APW and long after my years of pro wrestling.
When I am retired, old and gray and volunteering for a local charity or something along those lines, I will celebrate in knowing that I didn’t waste my life and that I made a difference. Kash, will you be able to say that when the time comes for you? Or will you have become some old skirt chaser and find a woman thinking that after all these years you have finally found true love? Enduring tumultuous times with Adora Bailey or Hailey Hitch was worth it because you would have found this woman…but to your apprehension she won’t even really love you. She’d just be in it for the financial benefits of your hefty Social Security check…if that even still exists.
Or if that isn’t your fate, maybe you will become the “cool” old guy on the block and invite the young high school boys over from time to time to show them how to make a bong or roll up a joint. They will love you and after you die, they will occasionally visit your grave and smoke some weed in remembrance of you. Is this what will become of your life? Yes but only if The Promise does not make a much needed intervention…and I need to act fast. I spared you earlier when I decided not to press charges against you, even though I really wanted to do so. Watching that video of you breaking into the privacy of my home made anger stir up inside of me. I wanted to slap the taste out of your mouth and dare you to retaliate so I could be free to slap you once again.
But seeing your face on that screen, I didn’t see a criminal. Though all of the evidence literally pointed to you I saw a helpless and hopeless man, not a criminal. I saw a man who has been circling the cul de sac for all of his life in pursuit of pleasure and fulfillment when true pleasure and fulfillment lie on the next street over. I saw a man who is on the brink of running out of gas because he’s so obsessed with the garbage in the cul de sac. Turn off the engine before it’s too late Kash. Turn off the engine and get out of the car before time is up. Just because you are able to drive a vehicle does not mean that you’re equipped to be in the driver’s seat. And just because you are a talented wrestler does not mean that you are guaranteed to hold onto that Title…there will always be people more qualified than you.
You are so consumed and concerned with harassing me on Twitter, my home’s bare walls, and how I spend my free time. July 8th is only four days away and that appears to be the least of your concerns. You have already lost the match and my limousine hasn’t even pulled up to the United Center yet. You have already been defeated because you should be concerned with the outcome of our last meeting and how I plan on following the same formula to duplicate the results. Break ins, Twitter threats, or criticizing my college doesn’t mean a thing to me. Nothing you have ever done to me or said about me has fazed me. You might assume that I get angry with you and I do get angry. I get angry not at what you do or say to me but I get angry because you constantly miss the mark of what I am trying to reveal to you.
