Nothing is ever easy isn’t it thinks the man who was screwed out of continuing on in Test for the Best by T.R.I. Yet, people saw the group somewhat implode later on in the evening. Does the end ever truly justify the means? America is the land of equal opportunity yet it wasn’t granted toward Calvin Ingram. An entity rose to be nothing short of a well rounded individual but he has reached the limit.

No longer to be mistreated the man plots and ponders. Through broken dreams and torn achievements lies a greater prospect. Vision is pending though as anger can truly destroy a man’s soul. Did he ever have a soul to begin with? Sitting in his hotel room 48 hours removed from a disappointing loss at the hands of Chaz Dillinger. He tries to remember his father the best he could. But Maxwell Ingram was a very complex figure. Being a fierce warrior the rules of engagement called for you to not show true emotion.


Calvin took that with him into his current ranks in the APW establishment. It was his time to truly rise to the top of sports entertainment. He didn’t need endorsements or a fancy infomercial as politics wasn’t his cup of tea. He was born for war so on July 8th in Chicago, Illinois at the United Center the fight was coming head on.He suddenly remembered a DVD given to him after his disappointing evening though it was sure to enlighten him.The blue silk robe clinging off his toned physique as he pops the DVD into his hotel room’s DVD player. Amongst a battlefield sits his father Maxwell Ingram surrounded by his fellow soldiers. Who fought and died as they had believed in freedom. Something that many take for granted to this very day. Callahan thinks what he speaks about and what contributions he does is meaningful. But the wound inflicted on that very man’s father Maxwell means something more. Yes he was fatally wounded, never to see the land of the living again. In death he shall always be immortalized as a true warrior. The warriors gathered round their great leader before he said his last words. As from the looks at the setting this was the battle where his father was slain. And he’s never seen this tape until this fateful evening.


Maxwell Ingram: We hold nothing more sacred than the ties of battle. Maybe our family is up there with faith but that’s in the backburner now. Our enemy is drawing nearer and near. At last we shall draw our weapons in order to defend our freedom. We all believe in a common goal. That doesn’t mean that anyone else gives a damn about it. Don’t seem deterred or discouraged know that war is about obstacles. On any given obstacle stand your ground. In war there are two sides to every coin cowards and brave hearts. The cowards try to back down from a fight, taking shortcuts when necessary just for an easy victory. But brave hearts possess a deeper courage somewhere beyond their own mortal soul. You see when God made mankind he thought of us all as his children. You know Lucifer was ousted from heaven he disobeyed God. Defiance isn’t a form of bravery it’s the way of the enemy. Maybe some sympathize with Satan clinging in his image. Yet, Satan is evil in name but he holds a deeper meaning. When you imagine yourself in Lucifer’s shoes you may see yourself as an outcast or individual for a misguided justice. Know this as well don’t bite the hand that feeds you. When your deed is done and if you didn’t truly defy God maybe one day you can go home. So, as we prepare to do battle maybe some or all will die. But the Lord promises us a paradise if we truly didn’t defy. My brothers in arms this is for SCOTLAND!!!


All Maxwell Ingram’s fellow countryman threw up their arms as he had finished his speech. His message was loud and clear symbolizing who he truly was as a man. He was a man who didn’t adopt God as a way to cease to grow slightly leaving his graces for a moment. In turn he did not burn bridges coming back in his glory to fulfill his manifest destiny. The manifest destiny will soon be done for Calvin Ingram who thinks as the footage repeats now. His mind is lost in the thought of getting his hands on Michael Callahan. “Sir” Calvin Ingram has fought through adversity being held back week after week. To be deterred from your goal is to be basically road blocked. What you have to do is bulldoze that road block to the brink of nothingness. Coward, if that word was thrown in Calvin’s direction it’d be a mistake. He never backed down from a battle, war or a down right fight. Never expect him not to smell blood in the water his thoughts fade briefly as a faint knock is on his hotel room’s door. He takes the DVD remote and clicks…

He opens the door and he is eye to eye with Ebony Fedora who is smiling at him. Calvin takes a step back from his ex fiancée before smiling. His smile is light but she understands she’s been M.I.A for a few months now. The Man in Black situation put her away from him for awhile but that’s since calmed down. What was the reason for her arrival when Calvin soon was to face his biggest challenge yet? But Calvin figured he could beat Callahan if he trains and disciplines himself purely for the task. Julius Farquhar took the Tap Out title from Anthony Bailey in unforeseen fashion so what makes anyone thinks differently here. A change was surly coming to the APW organization where wrestling will be restored to its former glory. That new golden age is going to be ushered in by “Sir” Calvin Ingram in style. Ebony comes in side sitting delicately down in a chair as Calvin sits beside her glass of red wine in his right hand. Ebony sees a glass of wine on the table but decides to pass.


Ebony Fedora: You look in good spirits Cal, it’s been awhile. I want you to know that what I felt for you was genuine. Nothing can put to bed those special moments we spent together. Hell, I’ve been with you through your near death experiences & pending trial for a murder you didn’t commit. But surely you know that you are the man your father wanted you to be and I’m still the naïve girl like I’ve always been. I’m engaged to a gentleman named Hannibal Valhi he’s an Armenian entrepreneur with several projects making waves around the world. I just wanted to wish you luck before your big break. Sorry, if my timing was a little off Cal.


How can you take the only woman you ever loved being with someone else? The Scottish isles know that their love was brighter than the solar rays of summer. Sometimes along the way there are a few bumps on the road but at times you expect for things to get a whole lot better. Calvin just drifts off in memory of the times him & Ebony spent together especially the first night they made love in her parent’s luxurious guest house. He remembered it was spring and he was 15 and she was 14 they spent a whole day of laughing and playing. She was ready for him to make her a woman. After overhearing her seventeen year old cousin Lilith talk about a boy making a woman she was curious. At night she told Calvin that she was going to sneak out to the family’s guest house and he should meet her there. The young Calvin followed her command that evening meeting her at the guest house. They were in the living room of the guest house though Ebony was scared at first. Calvin had a way with words to ease her mind in the candle and fireplace lit living room.



Calvin Ingram: Late at night in bed I’ve dreamed of finally being on that throne. Yes, I’m a warrior to be just like my father but the royal guard needs my guidance. A warrior is a born leader my dad always said. But that’s a little to boring for a time like this my lovely flower. Don’t be frightened by the lone darkness the shadows can’t hurt those who walk in the light. Our souls are pure as well I’ve dreamt of us being side by side in the dark together. Our hearts emblazed with love and peaceful understanding. I want you as my bride one fateful day and if you shall be with another I’ll fight for you. Maybe we’ll duel to the death for your heart. He would think to have my head but I’ll never lose to him as my love’s that much greater. Love can conquer all whether or not I’m facing certain death or a loss my friends, family, you and my God shall help me through.



Ebony eyed Calvin as he said this to her not knowing what she should say in response to the most romantic thing he said thus far. But she knew he was right the shadows won’t hurt their pure wee hearts. As for love conquering all the power their love possessed shined brighter than a thousand suns. She nestled closer to Calvin laying her head deep within his arm before responding to her beau’. He was the sweetest boy that she ever laid eyes on, never to go out of tone or hurt her in any way. Other boys during her early years pulled her hair or kicked her. Yes, that was part of growing up but Calvin was certainly very special to her. And she was going to let him make her a woman on that very night with grave determination.


Ebony Fedora: Calvin you know how deeply I love you. I trust in you to never break my heart or cause me any physical harm. Knowing that you want me as your bride one day is just as soothing. How special you are to me and your presence makes me think about something. I overheard my older cousin Lilith a few nights ago about a boy making her a woman. So, I’m hoping that you can do the same thing for me on this very night. Don’t’ hold back just trust in our love and everything will come into fruition. Just trust it. Okay Cal.



Calvin eyed her for a few moments before smiling.




Calvin Ingram:My dad and I had that talk two years ago about becoming a man outside of just being a warrior. I think you are pretty, smart and very sophisticated for your age. Yes, very dorky I know. But jokes aside I’d be honored to help you journey into womanhood. There’s something I want you to do in return. That you can help me in the first step of me truly being a man doll face.




Ebony nodded her head to agree before kissing Calvin deeply them falling back on the soft linen sheet amongst the heat of the guest house’s fireplace and lit candles. That was their first time as Calvin suddenly snaps back into reality somewhat eying Ebony who was waiting a reply to her shocking revelation. He paused set the glass on the table before looking her deeply into her warm pearl blue eyes. He seemed like a man with a lot of weight on his shoulders that he needs to take off before falling into oblivion from all the pressure surfaced.




Calvin Ingram: Remember, our first time in your parent’s guest house amongst fireplace and candle light. Huh, funny how I remember that after all that’s happened in these last few years. I don’t want you to feel like I’m pressuring you into being back in my life. But it’s just something I remembered telling you that love conquers all and I’d fight to the death for you. And yes I’ve never been one to tell a lie. Not really Abe Lincoln material though. *Chuckles*



Ebony Fedora looked at Calvin before thinking about their first time responding with the first things to pop into her beautiful blonde haired head.


Ebony Fedora:I know and it’s not you but I’ve been through a lot. It’s hard to come back to you after two years of being broken my men. You don’t understand the pain I’ve felt or the loneliness that tormented me. But I know the Lord brought me back to you to see you through facing that vile creature Michael Callahan. You were meant to slay that beast in order to truly be a real warrior. Win or Lose he will not walk out in one piece… I know. I don’t know about us though or if I should tell you? *Crying*



Calvin looked off into the distance before quickly responding.

Ebony Fedora: Yes, doll face but you should have seen me months ago. Hannibal beats me this is the only place I’m safe. I’m sorry if I left you down and out but I know I still love you. And you were always the sweetest boy I’ve ever known. Please save me from this pain.



Calvin didn’t know how to fully take away her pain in the long run but he knew he was going to make her smile and that smile will grow brighter after Test for the Best when he brings The Pro-Life era to a shocking end. Love conquers all he says slowly kissing Ebony as they lay in the comfort of his hotel suite’s king size bed. Fit for a royal entity that fought all his life to protect the ones he loved. The faint sounds of Would? By Alice in Chains drowns out the sounds of love rekindling between the two individuals. The lyrics trigger how he felt about his current state as Calvin eyes a picture of him and Ebony before slowly entering her love sanctum once more. Love indeed conquers all.
