Being successful in the wrestling business requires a number of different factors. Minor setbacks happen all the time. But, there’s a method to every battle win or lose. Deep down there will be something to take from this but Calvin’s not taking it well. The man who couldn’t get the loss out of his head threw things around his locker room pulling his hair out. As he believed that on that night it was surely his time to rise above all obstacles. He had wandered down the dark road, looked the Grim Reaper in his eyes and told him that he would make it. He never told a lie but now it looked like he was a liar. His claims didn’t mean shit at this point. He was alone in the locker room it was a massive wreck when he looked around. He just peers into an adjacent mirror without emotion staring searching for something lost. Was it his mind or was it his confidence? He sued to be able to smile at life’s obstacles telling all he’d defeat them. He looked death in its eye laughing at the top of his lungs unafraid. Now, there’s no reason to laugh or smile at all as he sat in the locker room disarray more than its usual appearance. He then looked up to the heavens and finally started to make peace with his Lord. Though he believed in the Lord he was not in his good graces lately except for being reunited with Ebony Fedora. Apart of him knew that the lord would set him straight with who he was supposed to be.
Calvin Ingram: Lord, you made man with the presence of clay. I believe all of mankind has flaws and that perfection is a lie made by Lucifer himself. He lies so we can live our lives toward a downward spiral of sin and accursed ways. I know I’m not the biggest religious person ever in your presence. My beliefs are set in stone though and I am ready to serve you. I am trying to make it through this turbulent time in my life of trying to be a man. Ever since my father Maxwell Ingram died on that battlefield I was trapped in trying to become a warrior myself. I may not have ended the Pro-Life era but there’s a blessing in disguise every time. Reginald Schmidt has told me personally that in a little under a week’s time I’ll open the Asylum broadcast facing Johnny Knuckles. As he sadly has struggled for almost a decade in trying to successfully vanquish Jason Kash. But, he just couldn’t keep him at bay long enough to get the job done apparently. I know through it all you will bless me with the wisdom to subdue my opponent long enough for the victory. Yes, being demoted to opener may stir some but if this will be my final match as a professional wrestler then I’ll give it my all. I know people might question why I choose to leave this soon in my career. I’ve served my purpose and like seasons mine has come and gone. Fear not though as one day who knows my season shall come again.
The Locker room lights up as Calvin Ingram isn’t paying close attention to the appearance of a glowing entity as that of his father Maxwell Ingram. The entity places his hand on the small of Calvin’s back and he snaps out of his trance peering at the image of his father. He wasn’t surprised to see the person that made him the man he was today. The presence of his dad didn’t cause him any distress of any sort it only made his decision that much harder. He didn’t want his dad to label him as a coward either than a brave heart. But surely that’s how he felt at this point and time like his son was a coward. He had walked the broad line of being something of that nature. As he was leaving the profession he had once sought out to change for the better not the worse. But his detached responsibilities showered down on him similar to a meteor shower. Maxwell smiled gently before parting his glowing lips to speak to his aforementioned son Calvin Ingram.
Maxwell Ingram: I remember rowing you across the lakes of Edinburgh instilling you with the words of Sun Tzu. You were very vast in your knowledge of different languages and the Japanese culture. I have come to be fond of the man and warrior you’ve become. Except you can’t walk away from the wrestling business this soon. I don’t consider you a coward since you’ve never backed down from a fight in your entire life. You are going out there on July the 15th to bring Johnny Knuckles to his knees and maybe then he’ll realize that pushing a toxic can of donkey piss isn’t his calling. His calling is to get woken up in the sport but you have to wake him up. He’s a shallow performer without your in ring ability Calvin carrying him he won’t ever look himself down. I’m not ashamed of you for probably hanging them up seeing as you had the guts to go out there and lay it all on the line night after night. Being a warrior is at times being one to play it safe but in order to truly win you’ll have to take risks. Make that sacrifice don’t deter from your true mortal purpose. I can see determination, hard work and passive aggression seeping through your pours. It just depends on how you use it and use it you shall. There are too many things left to say but too little time. Think hard on that one Calvin. If there’s only a short amount then obviously your words have to be short, sweet and to the point. I’ll always be here for you Calvin just pray when you need me. I’ll be watching you this Asylum let him never forget the night he face “The Scottish Tormentor”.
And just like that he was gone again from his life similar to the way he came in with a smile. Calvin was joined in the locker room now by Matthew Turner, Abigail Desmond & the old janitor Clementine. All of them didn’t know what to make of the locker room being a total wreck. Clementine obviously didn’t care too much as he was off at the moment and didn’t have to clean it up. They were all just in shock to see Calvin supposedly snap. Having all imagined him to be quite the level headed guy they only knew half of it. Yes, Calvin Is on top of his toes with an illustrious mind then there’s that side of him that emits rage. On the battle field you are supposed to channel that anger out on your enemy and that’s what he’ll do to Johnny Knuckles.
Abigail Desmond: “Sir” Calvin this isn’t like you. It’s almost like you went on a rampage and just couldn’t stop yourself. We all know you have more composure than that. Or we think you do? Matthew & I have been worried a lot about you. I thought for sure you had Callahan out there. But don’t worry if you keep your head on tight enough you can put the boots to ole Johnny Knuckles in bout three minutes flat. That guy may have had a lengthy career but it looks to me that he’s phoning it on home a little bit. Considering that he’s the E.T. of the wrestling business. No matter how long your career was why would you endorse the things he has? The guy is a joke and laughter won’t be heard when The Scottish Curse hits him. Right “Sir”?
Matthew Turner & Ms. Abigail Desmond now eyed their leader but he was again deep in thought as Clementine curious as always looked on. Clementine also thought Callahan was going to lose out Calvin at Test for the Best. If you watch the match Calvin had stayed the course and gave him hell out there. People shouldn’t be all that surprised by that performance considering that Calvin was a bare knuckle fighting champion in his late teens. He had always wanted to shine in everything he did whether it was fighting, art, music and the works. But to him now there’s something pulling him backward to a point of no return. Remembering his matchup with Callahan Calvin knows that he must stay the course. No matter what he does after this match. He must stay the course and leave Knuckles crippled, battered and bloodied in that square circle. He looks at Matthew; Abigail & Clementine with a half smirk and responds to Abigail’s statement.
Calvin Ingram: Sometimes we all have to give the devil his due and admit when we were wrong even if you were right at one point. You aren’t always right and you aren’t always wrong. What I’m trying to get at is there is a 50/50 chance of you being either the two. I admit I was wrong about going on to beat Callahan but that was the first time we faced each other. Consider that the appetizer of what might come if we lock horns again and people should know that I’ll know a little bit of his moves a hell of a lot more that time around. I’ve never tooted my own horn or ever been too proud to beg. I am a man. I don’t’ know what the bloody ‘ell Johnny Knuckles is but I’m a man. And this man has been through hell on earth to get where’s he’s at. I worked my ass off for two years in professional wrestling and I’m not going out without a fight. As a man you have to respect my decision and also know that if I can muster up a comeback then I’ll gladly come back. I’ll gladly come back dawning my white linen hoodie walk down that ramp and go to business. Because I’m not a coward nor am I cheat. I’ll fight anywhere and anyone straight up and without using under handed tactics. To be truthful is to not tell a lie and to be free of guilt. I have no guilt and I have no regret I’m going to go out there and do my thing. Some people might not like it that’s only 25 percent. The other 75% know that when Calvin Ingram’s around that bodies tend to drop. So, Johnny Knuckles you can’t run and you can’t hide the Scottish Curse is EVERYWHERE!!!
Clementine quickly gives Calvin Ingram a bit of advice before him and his trio leaves off for the night.
Clementine: Too many people have said things that I’ve found hard to believe. But you made a believer out me son. No matter what your profession will be in a weeks time I’ll always be one of those 75%. You are an inspiration to all. And I think you’re going to go far kid.
Matthew Turner and Abigail Desmond help up their leader as they now go off to set their plans in motion. Maybe, the plans for when Calvin decides to take a break who will take over his position as The Ambassador of Wrestling. Little is known about the future and in this point in time it’s a little hard to predict the future. Calvin Ingram knows where his future lies though and waits with open arms. Ready to embrace that said unknown deeming that his future is so bright that shades will definitely help. He won’t lose sight of what’s important presently though. Him & Johnny Knuckles will step into that ring and go to war. But like all wars there shall only be one victor and that victor may very well be Calvin Ingram the most technically sound performer in the business going today.
