( THE LITTLE DOUCHE THAT COULDN’T )
starring: johnny sykes & jax sykes location: pittsburgh, pennsylvania attire: click here
Normally when it came to certain personal things in the life of Johnny Sykes. He didn’t allow that to be on camera and for the most part that was when it came to his two year old son. He was very protective of him despite Sykes being a goofball and someone that might appear as if he shouldn’t even have custody of a child. But when it came to his son, Sykes was a completely different person.
With that being said it was a bit of shock that Sykes was allowing APW cameras in his home of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania just days before he was set to fly out for Asylum. In fact the cameras were inside little Jax’s room and Sykes happened to be tucking him in bed for the night. He was almost ready to walk out of the room when he heard his son speak to him.
Jax Sykes: Story time, pwease?
Johnny Sykes: Story time? We have read all the books you have little man. I’ll get you some more tomorrow. Sound fair?
Jax Sykes: Story time! Story time! Stoooooooory time!
Johnny Sykes: … Well alright then.
He had an extremely hard time telling Jax no, which would no doubt cause problems when he got older. Sykes made his way to a chair next to Jax’s bed and looked over at his son. This was one of those times where he was going to have to improvise and come up with whatever came to mind in order to please his son.
Johnny Sykes: Alright Jax, I’ll tell you a story about a man by the name of Douche Atkens. You see Douche Atkens was this ugly looking man. Like Shrek ugly but only ten times worse. For whatever reason though Douche thought he was something special to this magical kingdom that he lived in. He viewed himself as a talented man with good looks and could literally do anything he wanted. He truly believed that he was untouchable.
Now things were becoming just a little more clear as to why Sykes was cool with cameras being involved with his personal life this time around. It seemed that Sykes was going to use this as the perfect time to rag on Phil Atkens and run him into the ground. No doubt about it would be something that people enjoyed.
Johnny Sykes: One day Douche Atkens thought he was going to be able to take on the King of the magical kingdom. He truly talked himself into believing that he could beat the king and that upon beating the king that the people of the kingdom would be shocked as well as impressed with his ways that they would elect him the new King of the magical kingdom. Yes just in case you are wondering Jax, Douche Atkens wasn’t a very bright man. In fact he was a bit on the retarded side of things. Let’s just say that he makes people with Down Syndrome look uber intelligent.
Despite Jax having no idea what his father was talking about. There was a small little chuckle that came from the young boy. Then again the reason for laughter was likely because Sykes was just a funny dude and Jax was lucky to have a comedian like father. He was always doing things to make Jax laugh and besides it’s not like other people wouldn’t laugh when they saw this video.
Johnny Sykes: Anyway though Douche Atkens had decided to go through with calling out the King and challenging him to a fight. It didn’t take long for Douche Atkens to take it to the people of the magic kingdom. Of course everyone that heard him state he was going to take on the king and defeat him to become the new ruler of the kingdom just laughed at him. There wasn’t a single person in the entire kingdom that believed what he was saying or believed that he was even going to have a chance against the King. It was pretty clear Douche Atkens was a joke and quite full of himself.
That was pretty much a direct shot at Phil Atkens in general. After all not too long ago Phil himself admitted on camera that he was self-centered, self-involved, and overall an arrogant-egotistical prick. So it wasn’t like Sykes was saying anything that Atkens himself hadn’t said but it was clear he was twisting things when it came to everyone thinking he was a joke. That wasn’t the case all around but Sykes surely saw him as a joke.
Johnny Sykes: And you see all this talk got back to the King. Sir Johnny Awesomeness caught word from one of the many people of his magical kingdom. Upon hearing it Sir Johnny Awesomeness cracked up with laughter, but then a few moments later realized that he didn’t even know Douche Atkens. He hadn’t heard the name before. He hadn’t been relevant to the king in the least bit. That was posing a problem simply because Sir Johnny Awesomeness didn’t back down from a challenge no matter how silly it was and no matter in rather the person challenging him would turn out to look like a massive tool.
Sykes had a big grin on his face at this very moment. Of course he took the time to look back at the cameras for a brief moment in order to reveal that grin he had on his face. If it wasn’t clear before that he was taking shots at Phil, it was clear now and it was certainly not something that would settle very well with Phil even though it was clear Sykes didn’t care about that.
Johnny Sykes: From that moment on that’s all the people talked about in the magical kingdom. They talked about the infamous fight that was going to go down between the King and this little DOUCHE that thought he could. For weeks Douche Atkens worked out trying to get himself into shape seeing as he was looking like a pot-belly pig. He worked out, he ate right, he pushed himself to the limits that he had never gone before, and he kept telling himself. “I think I can, I think I can, I think I can!” when it came to beating the King. That was his way of keeping himself motivated but little did he know. That little motto wasn’t going to do him much good when it came to the battle between him and the King.
It was becoming much clearer with every word that Sykes was tying this entire story into his match with Phil Atkens. That wasn’t hard to catch onto at all and surely Phil was going to have a different logic on the matter. After all he done made it clear that he was going to beat Sykes but he truly did have another thing coming even if he didn’t see it coming just yet.
Johnny Sykes: During this time Douche Atkens was getting himself ready for the biggest battle of his life. The King Sir Johnny Awesomeness wasn’t sweating the situation at all. He didn’t go work out. He didn’t change his eating habits and he surely didn’t come up with some lame little phrase to repeat to himself over and over again just to convince himself that he had what it took to stay in the fight and to actually defeat Douche Atkens. No he didn’t do any of that simply because he knew that he already had it won. It wasn’t that the King was arrogant or egotistical. It had nothing to do with that at all, but it did have everything to do with Douche Atkens being way out of his league and being a complete joke. The King saw it and so did everyone else.
Phil Atkens was once again being described as a joke. Of course Phil would disagree and there might be some other people that did as well but it wasn’t going to stop Sykes from putting it out there the way he wanted too. It was his opinion and he was entitled to it regardless of how it made other people feel.
Johnny Sykes: Finally the day of the battle had come. Douche Atkens was getting his chance to become a hero in his own mind and was going to get a chance to take on the King as well as possibly dethrone him like he wanted. On the other hand though, this was the time for Sir Johnny Awesomeness to defend his kingdom and prove that he was one of the best damn kings in the history of being a king. Once the two men faced off, Douche Atkens made a very rookie like mistake. He charged towards the King trying to be a badass but as soon as he was within the King’s reach. He swung his mighty first catching Douche Atkens right on the chin and knocking him out with a single punch. Right there Douche Atkens’s dreams and goals went up in smoke, he also became known as the little Douche that couldn't and Sir Johnny Awesomeness sealed his fate as one of the greatest kings of all time.
With that being said, it was pretty much clear that Sykes believed that’s how things were going to be when he stepped into the ring with Phil. There was a chance that it would be a one hit KO or there was a chance that Sykes was going to actually have to work for his win. Hell, there was even a chance that Phil could get lucky but Sykes was going to do everything to make sure that didn’t happen.
Johnny Sykes: You see Jax the moral of this story is real simple. You never go around flapping your gums when you do not know what that will lead to. You never go around saying that you are better than someone when you know you aren’t. You never threatened to whoop someone’s ass when it’s clear that you aren’t and you never mess with someone that is on epic levels while you yourself aren’t. Douche Atkens learned that when he messed with the King and maybe just maybe there’s someone else that will learn that when he gets in the ring with Daddy on Sunday, guess we’ll just have to wait and see kiddo.
By now Sykes looked back over at Jax and seen that he was sleeping peacefully. He slowly pushed himself up and out of his chair before placing a soft kiss on his son’s forehead. It wasn’t long after that Sykes walked out of the room and lead the cameras to fade on out to static as it was clear what he had to say and do was done with.
No doubt about it though Sykes had sent his message loud and clear. Phil Atkens wouldn’t be able to play it off like he didn’t see it or like he didn’t hear it. No that wasn’t going to be the case at all seeing as it was made perfectly clear. None the less though, it was now going to come down to the two of them actually getting in the ring and seeing just which one of them will leave with a victory.
