Show is posted.
Thanks to Kash, Shadow and Yarmouth for writing matches. Yarmouth and Kash also get a shout-out for putting out segments this week.
Honestly, this was the first Meltdown card that I've struggled to put together. The lack of segments hurt and it felt like most (read: some; there was some effort this week from a few folks) were mailing it in. It was almost so bare that I didn't even want to put it up.
Feedback is welcome and appreciated; both positive and negative (as long as it's constructive and offers something to help the show flow better).
I will put up a general Meltdown feedback thread in the morning. The consensus is that Meltdown is doing its job and providing the two bigger brands with some awesome talent. But I'd like to get some input on how we can make it more enjoyable.

I thought it was a fun show! I hope I didn't feel like I mailed it in... Anyways it was fun to read and it gave me ideas for my next RP which I think means it is a success.

I'll have more in the morning, but I don't get the the triple threat match ending in a count out. Triple Threat is a no-dq no count out match. Hell when Raab walked out on his match a few weeks ago, he didn't get counted out.

I was never under the impression that a Triple Threat meant No DQ. However after reading the show I enjoyed it. Not just because I was on the show but because it was a good show. Maybe there were lack of segments but it's a third show, it's suppose to be the growing and development show for APW.
The Triple Threat match was surprising. I expected fireworks for sure! Got them just not in the way I had expected. To know there is a rematch with the Title on the line next week, inside a Cage? That's awesome, can't wait for that one.
Congrats to Young Mannie and Shadow for winning their matches. I know Mannie might not want to win due to no showing but a win is a win, gives you something to motivate yourself to get better so build on that. Yarmouth it was a pleasure! I had fun building this during the week, going over things with you, writing both the rp for Meltdown and the match itself. I can for sure see us going at it again down the road. There is alot on Meltdown I'd like to work with and if I'm the only guy from Asylum or Overdrive who is willing to do double duty to promote Meltdown then so be it.

First I would like to appologize, I always try to put up some sort of segment for Meltdown. I feel they are the life blood of the show and furthering feuds and character development. I had an idea for two segments but work this last week didn't give me time to nail them down. So for that I am sorry that I didn't do my part. This whole thing is story telling, and entertainment. If you are on Meltdown and need a push, throw together a segment. If you are lost for idea's hit someone up. I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm down to do a segment with anyone or add suggestions of any type.
With that being said I didn't think the show was bad, instead the lack of segments actually sold the main event as the crowning moment of the night for me (that being most of the segments). I loved reading the matches with a different pair of glasses on this week taking tips for my next "summarized" match (haha!). I enjoyed the Calico deal with Krunk building a bit for both of them.
Shadow looked nasty in that match.
One thing that has always been my favorite is the commentators, I love everyone's general take on the things they say, truly my favorite aspect of reading the results.
The triple threat, interesting match. Surprised that Diamond came out, and even more surprised with next weeks match. Carmen: In character Lively berates you for being a woman and sometimes we can get the lines crossed from character and handler every once and awhile, but you are a true talent. Borderland: I played on your grammar and what not in my RP, but you also are a truely solid RP'r and I was excited to be in there with you two. Since coming back I have struggled to find my niche, and get in my groove. I honestly don't think I am deserving of a title shot (not turning it down by any means) just saying this show has some good quality to it. I am trying to find my blend of what works and struggle with it from time to time. Rambling, sorry, great match, and inspired for next week to step up the heat. You two are awesome.
The main event like I said had been built up for me as I read and I found myself excited to get to it. It delivered for the Megastar showing up, and overcoming Yarmouth, seemed like a feat.
Also in clossing I at times don't leave feedback, please don't take it as an insult. I work a shitload and 95 percent of the time visit the site from my phone, kind of a bitch. Will try to do it more often, I really enjoy Meltdown and the people. I think Rebel does a great job and the quality we have is great. Just know working with others is where the fun of this game stems from. Working with Envi on just segments was classic and a feud with him would have been incredible. Point being bouncing idea's off each other and creating something entertaining is the goal. Right now Raab and myself are currently doing the same thing (this week I fell short in continueing it) but that's where the show will really thrive. Look at the other shows, PPV's all works between those involved to build the fued and keep it alive is the difference from Meltdown and the other two shows.
Wow, my fucking lack of staying on topic really strayed there...anyways not our best showing, but I still think it had it's value.

I actually hope that me and you can have a match at the PPV seeing that the only time Meltdown have had PPV matches was involving the North American title but yeah hopefully our feud will be the first one to go on the PPV that's not involving the title well depending the outcome of next week's match.

I read through the show, it was skimpy on segments sure, but sometimes I think APW shows can get a little segment heavy and not focus on the matches enough. There could've been a few more segments this week, but that's what Meltdown is for, these new guys learning the APW way and getting things together.
Great win by Calico, it's fun to see this next wave of Meltdown stars get things going. Hopefully they'll keep it going and not fizzle out. I always worry about new people.
I liked the Shane Borderland and Jason Kash segment. It did what it needed to do.
Young Mannie and Raab suffered from Raab no-showing, but he'll just have to come back stronger next week. We'll see if a win can get Mannie rolling.
Yarmouth puts out another segment and the hardest working man in Meltdown keeps it flowing.
The four-way match was short, but with summarized results what can you expect. Good to see Shadow get the win. This is another one of those moments where you see the new wave of Meltdown stars. It's funny to think just a few weeks ago it was TJ, Jair Hopkins, Stryker, and Envi that could've been putting on a four-way match.
I really like the Shane Borderland, Michael Lively, and Carmen Rivera match. These are the cream of the crop on Meltdown right now. I was really happy to see Lively get a big win like that. The guy is going seriously under appreciated since he's been back. He's a world class talent and I think the rust is coming off and he's going to get into a rhythm here. Also loved Diamond coming out and setting up a huge main event for next week.
Jason Kash and Yarmouth was a nice match, tough to follow up the talent from the triple threat match, it would've benefited from a segment in between, oh well. Kash just likes to pick up wins anywhere he can, but Yarmouth put in a great effort.
This is just a nice wake-up call for the Meltdown superstars to step up next week. I'd like to see segments from all these new people, Calico, Krunk, Ice Storm, Dante, John Combe. You get far in APW not only from showing up and RP'ing every week, but also helping the brand you're on and submitting segments to create some great storylines. I know this is more of a "do as I say, not as I do" because I'm not the segment machine Evan Envi is, but segments drive feuds and feuds drive interest. Don't let this week get anyone down, the Meltdown brand will just come back stronger next week, I'm sure of it.

I was not trying to just pick up wins haha! I think Meltdown needs to be promoted more, show that APW Megastars have support for the new talent and growing talent on the 3rd Show. Don't make me be the first guy to make the rounds and end up on Overdrive as well to fuck up Mania...Okay, OKAY!! I'll stop now, be nice to me...Ignore my last comments.
(Fuck, my mom told me I shouldn't open my mouth before thinking)

Meltdown was another good show this week but like Rebel said there was a lack of segments this week which was a bit of a let down cos I feel that the segments really make the show.
All were great matches and well written by everyone, It was great working with you Kash and next time may be I could get the win, was a close call though.

I'd be lying if I were to say Meltdown didn't feel lackluster this week, but almost all of the big names on the show were in the last two matches-- it's really a whole new group of fresh faces here. With that said, the opening triple threat was fantastic. I really do enjoy the Calico character and think it can be taken much farther-- all three personality-types here make for an interesting dynamic. It's a shame we couldn't see segments to play on that. Hopefully next week we get to see something impressive from Jayden. I enjoyed the post-match interaction between Krunk and Calico and it'll be a shame if none of them follow up on it. Jason Kash returns to Meltdown. I like how he's makin' this into his second home. But it was nice to see the inevitable interaction between him and Borderland... Since these guys and Yarmouth were the only ones with segments this week, maybe another match could've gone before this segment to space things out. But it all worked well and added to the main event(s). I think I'd have appreciated it more if I'd been around to see Kash and Borderland team up. The best part of it though, was that it completely sold Kash's new personality in a way that only a former friend can sell something like that. YAY for continuity! I like the "Beat the Clock" concept. Shame that Raab couldn't roleplay, but big win for Mannie who I think could potentially be a huge main-event player on Meltdown. Let me reiterate why I love the Yarmouth character-- there's no one quite like him. He says little gems like "numptys" and seems to treat assaulting people like an everyday, run-of-the-mill event. I love it. It's sadistic in an innocent way. Good segment here with Hannah Storm, my main boo. Good win for Shadow. And taking nothing away from him, but I'd have loved to see a new guy pick up the win because Shadow just came from Overdrive for the purpose of bettering himself. It seems odd that he's got a good chance at going back so quickly. No complaints though-- I just feel that the character could do a lot more growing on Meltdown, and would benefit greatly from it. I dug Carmen vs Lively vs Borderland, but I agree that it was very strange to see a triple-threat end in a countout. They're historically no-DQ, no-countout, but it doesn't take away from the action which was well-written, and definitely got Rivera over as the chickenshit heel Meltdown needs. I apologize that I wasn't able to write this match-- maybe I'll be lucky enough to write the cage match next week to make it up to everyone! And of course, the main event. It was great. It did an awesome job at putting both characters over, and even advertised the Pro Life Title match for Asylum in the process. I'm personally not a fan of the overtly violent "side" of wrestling, but hey, it builds to Kash's story so I'm all for it. Kudos. Overall, the show was good. It wasn't spectacular, and the champion's lack of segments definitely hurts the program, but it was good.

"Overly" violent isn't what Kash is wanting. I don't like using "Weapons" per say but just being violent with the wrestling.
As for the segment with Borderland. That was actually spur of the moment. I wrote that on Monday when Rebel posted about needing segments. I didn't ask Borderland for permission or clearance because him and I have always done that without. We accept that we know our characters and just go with it. Glad it came out good though.
The match was written to try and sell both people as much as possible. Their styles, their personalities. However notice even though it was No DQ, no weapons were involved. I hate WWE/WCW slapstick like Hardcore. ECW was cool because it merged the weapons with the actual wrestling or was just violent with the wrestling itself. Kash will never be the first guy to use a weapon unless he's interfering in someone else's match. Glass Bong preference. Haha
And Envi: Meltdown is not my second home. I just think traveling, working the other shows here and there helps get people involved more. Gets people seen on more than just the one show you're attached too. I've done Overdrive in the past a few times as well so this is just Meltdown's turn to get Influenced. Asylum is home.

Segments ='s more tv time, which ='s feuds, which ='s getting pushes ='s getting drafted to Asylum or Overdrive
You could be the best RPer in the world, but if your not writing segments or contributing to shows, then your not gonna get anywheres fast

Also, segments don't need to be something big. It can just be a small pre match interview or promo hyping up your up coming match with mentions of what happened to your character the previous week.

First off i would like to say, sorry for not giving my feedback. Usually i am one of the first one's but i have been in the process of moving these past few days. I have worked my ass off on the job then turned right around and worked my ass off moving shit. I am wore the fuck out as we speak. But here it goes... People say lack of segments, it may be true, but the show was super! Still rocked my socks off, which right now would be an easy task. Calico, impressive win. There is something about your character that im sure everyone will like. Keep it up, you could make a huge impact on Meltdown. It sucked that Raab no showed, but hell life goes on. Congrats Mannie My match was great. Im like everyone else on this. I always wanted to see what Lively could bring to the table and ill be damned if he didnt show me and Rivera this week. Great Job Lively keep it up! It was good to see my homie Kash coming to my stomping grounds this time, lol. Great job on the win bro. Congrats to Shadow for another impressive win man. Now im kind of worried about next week, But a great victory overall man. Also sorry for not giving a segment like i have been. Like i said this move has been exhausting to me. So on Overdrive ill try to get one up if i dont its because im worn out. But overall i liked the show, ohh yea. Lively DID U READ WHAT JEFF SAID?! DOESNT MATTER ABOUT SPELLING, AS LONG AS THE POINT GETS ACROSSED! See i new my ignorance didnt matter here!

Finally got around to reading the whole show heres my thoughts: - Good win by Calico and all three members RPs which I'm more interested about because I think this is the first time that we've had several new people RP in the same match and they all showed. I'm also happy that Krunk RP'd (Sorry I haven't gotten around to reading your RP yet) as I think this is the first time that new RPer actually RP'd his second week, Dante seems to be doing an every week schedule thing, but more on that. Also, I hope that the two non-winners, I don't like saying losers because it losers no show (John Combe), I hope they don't get discouraged because they lost. It seems to be the problem lately, people are coming in with the attitude that if they didn't win, they would leave. I hope that you guys stick around and get into a groove and betters as writers, learn from the Kurts, Sallys, Tmarv, Kashs, Callahans,Baileys, etc etc etc etc. Advice that I did: read an Overdrive and an Asylum, read the segments and see how some are long and storydriven while others are short and hype up a match. Hell go back and read Meltdowns from a month or two ago, actually do that because you can see what YOU can make Meltdown be. Honestly I think that's why I got onto Asylum because I was bugging for feuds with people OOC, not to annoyingly tho, and try to get something going on Meltdown and I jumped at the oppurtinity to work with Crown Jules and I think that it got me noticed a good bit. There will always be a time when someone from "the big shows" come down and will want to work with someone. Hell I've been thinking about it recently as in character I made a promise that i wouldn't forget Meltdown so gotta make my guy hold true to his promise. And Like Jeff said, get involved and you can get to that anywheres he was talking about, I haven't found it, must be in that 1000 post forum I keep hearing about...one day. - I loved the Kash/Borderland segment because the two have history and the fact that Borderland says he has lost it, truly puts over the fact that Kash is not the same man he was a mere month ago. - Congrats to Mannie with the win and he takes the lead, since it seems that they will be one more beat the clock match before Shockwave, you just gotta make it past one person, well, one person has to beat your time to get it but it's gonna be hard and if you bring it like you did last week against Carmen, you're gonna have a good chance of being the third NA champion of all time. It's a shame taht Raab was unable to RP tho, and I hope ya bring it hard next week. - Great Yarmouth segment. Seriously one of the last remaining original Meltdown Megastars, honestly, I view Yarmouth right now as the gate keeper of APW, he's got the talent to be on Asylum or Overdrive really, but at this point, he's a strong assest for Meltdown and he reminds me of my TJ character way back when, a no nonsense ass kicking BEAST. I really want to get in the ring with Yarmouth: The Bad Ass Boom vs The Soul of Philly. - Congrats to Shadow for the win. I think we can feed Combe to Dangerous unless someone knows something I don't think he's coming back and Dante on this weird every other week rping schedule RPed his first week against me, then no-showed then showed and beat Shadow and then no shows this week. and Callahan hasn't been booked as Benny in a while so he kinda forgot. - First things first, congrats to Lively for finally getting that monkey off his back. It was like any big match he just couldn't get the win, would just get edged out by a little and would end up on the losing end. Such a great talent, and the character, I think he's the only character I can honestly say that I hate to the core. Nothing about him I can like. I can like Callahan's motives and I can like Terry Marvin's bravado, but nothing about lively I can like. Smug, women hating, asshole. But to elaborate on my prior post this entire match was written weirdly, first things first, it was a non-title match and it wasn't changed during the show so why was that a point of emphasis on commentary? And honestly, I mean if Carmen walks up the ramp why does Borderland care so much? I mean sure he was whooping her and it would mean more to beat the champ, but he knew Lively was still in the match so why worry about her? That and the whole, "She can't lose if she's not in the ring" thing, she can if it's a triple threat match, she doesn't have to get pinned to lose. Not trying to sound like an ass but I hate when wrestling ignores logic. That said, it justifies the rematch next week in a steel cage with the winner going to Shockwave it seems. - Great match Kash, very well written and it made Yarmouth look great as well as make Kash look like a serious threat to the entire roster of Asylum. I hope that if Kash wins the Pro-Life/Suicidal title, he doesn't go soft. Overall, while not a segment filled show, it was solid and about on par for Meltdown, not EVERY show is gonna be great, OD is experiencing a flood of great talent but there'll be a time when they hit a down time with talent, Asylum hit that when quite a bit of people left, leaving the roster thin. That said, it's on the up. I think we spoiled you Rebs, I mean, me, Evan, J-Hop, Stryker, Carmen, Borderland, Yarmouth, Lively Raab all at once plus you add in Benny vs Wolves with Dita and Shadow playing roles in that, it made for some great stuff. We kinda left a void and i've been the booker for a "developmental" brand before and it sucks because you try to think of ideas for the shows with the people you got and as soon as the ideas come to, you have to cancel them because you end up losing some talent. Like at Shockwave, I'm sure you'll lose a talent or two, and we haven't exactly been hitting paydirt with the new members in terms of them staying, although Calico, Jayden, and Krunk all look promising and hopefully with stay, the only suggestion I'd make to make Meltdown more enjoyable would be keep it where you got it. By that I mean, don't try to overdo it, its not necessarily what you do that made and makes Meltdown fun to read, but the roster. It's a full effort by the roster to put together a good show, your job is to figure where to put everything and then take complete credit for it Seriously, i wouldn't change a thing just because you had one bad week and this is coming from the guy who lives Philly sports and is crazy because he thinks one bad season doesn't mean the Phillies are done. THEY AINT DONE YA HEAR ME!
