The dark knight begins to show tonight at midnight. Oh yes, I will be there fully dressed as Harley Quinn. I've been waiting for this for a year, for even though I am a Marvel girl through and through and Batman really was never my favorite growing up...through a series of events spanning over the course of this year I have grabbed hold of what seems to be the intention of the Joker in this film and it has become a part of my life and a part of my mind. Because after all, without a little humor, how are we supposed to stay insane?
Dismiss this as temporary insanity brought on by the severe nature of my anticipation and preparation for entering a fictional world without rules or laws, only chaos and hysterics.

I know this is a double post and forgive me but this movie is the best superhero movie I have ever seen and has ever been made. I saw it last night and I haven't stopped talking about it since. If you are a comic geek like me or a fan of a damn good movie you owe it to yourself to see this film. The characterization, the dark humor, the action, the pacing - everything is spot-on. And The Joker is so spot-on a part of you actually roots for the bad guy. It's sad Heath Ledger is no longer with us because after this role he would have been able to work on any movie he wanted to - he is that good as The Joker. You will forget Jack Nicholsen's performance once you see Ledger.
Incredible. Dark Knight has officially set the bar for every superhero movie from here on out. Every superhero and comic movie from now on will be compared to this film - guaranteed.

"I'd like to show you a little..magic trick. You see, I'm going to make this pencil disappear!" Fucking amazing. The movie will be mine someday. Couldn't believe they brought Two Face into the movie so soon, figured it might be at the very end like they did for Joker. Absolutely awesome storyline. You could tell they used every minute they could to make this a great movie.

I completely agree, the pencil bit was one of my very favorite parts. I don't know if Watchmen is going to blow dark knight out of the water...that's a pretty big stretch for any movie right now. But it will be fantastic, no doubt.
I believe in Harvey Dent.

I'm not a comic book fan by any means, but I enjoyed the movie.
But, holy fucking christ, 2 1/2 hours long? It was just so fucking long. It didn't drag, but I was exhausted by the time it was over. I realize people get pissed about splitting movies in two just to charge for two tickets (RE: Kill Bill), but I think anything over 2 hours for an action film hurts it.
While the chemistry between the Joker and Two-Face was great, I think a lot of Two-Face's part could've been saved for another movie and let the Joker carry the whole thing.
I dunno, so sue me if I didn't think this movie will cure cancer or anything, but it did have some small faults.

Best movie I have seen in awhile ( meaning since Hellboy 2). Joker was awesome, best of any versions since the original Dark Horse version. Harvey Dent was perfect, really showing the White Knight of Gotham thing. And of course, Bale did a great BAtman once mroe. Cant wait to see another movie....

yeah I laughed so hard at the pencil disapearing gimmick it was truly a classic, and I think I was luaghing louder and longer about that one in particular through the whole theater.
