A recent backstage memo circulating through the company confirms that the Honda Center has requested 50% more security guards for the August 9th edition of Overdrive. Rumors began circulating about the necessity for additional security after the end of the August 2nd edition of Overdrive.
"We're having people, who aren't even on the roster, come into a dangerous environment and end up paying for it," an anonymous backstage worker stated in the memo. When contacted for clarification, the source refused to acknowledge who the before-mentioned 'people' were, but rumors have circulated that the increase in security is directly related to the attacks on Carmen Rivera and Amy Noble.
"It's become a mad-house," the source added. "And it's hurting everyone. A well-known APW Megastar destroyed three locker-rooms after this past Overdrive, and that's a problem."
Eye witnesses have identified the destruction being caused at the hands of APW Undisputed and Tag Team Champion Kurt Noble, half an hour after the ending of the show. One unnamed worker claimed that he was "definitely looking for multiple people."
"President Jeff thinks this anarchy is unacceptable, and we have to make sure it doesn't get any worse," the source added. "If it gets any worse, I don't think any of us are safe."
Kurt and Amy Noble could not be reached for comment. President Jeff declined to comment.
We'll bring you more as more information arises.
