First, Sorry I do not get any segments in. Im trying, time just doesn't allow.
Opening match, Good back and forth commentary too. Congrats to A.C. Smith claiming that victory. Envi's mind games were great to see to. Nice change of pace.
My match: First Harris, your style of roleplaying is interesting. I enjoyed reading it this week. Congrats on the win. The match was a good read. Although, it felt a little short. Heel tactic pin, nice pull. I look forward to working you again.
4 way dance: Brutal match, major props. Hell of a win for Shadow, too. I read all the roleplays Yarmouth, dude I like your work alot. Expand on your ideas. Mannie, nice trash talk. Keep it up. Shane. I liked your roleplay it's too bad you didn't make the deadline.
Mark Mania- congrats on your win.
Main Event- As always Overdrive puts on one hell of a show. The Main Events are the cherry on top. THe only qualm I had was with the video feed. Seemed one or two too long. Good build up for Shockwave. Will Nobel be dethroned? Im on pins and needles.
Congrats to all this week for their hard work.

I for one was greatly amused at Rebel only being worth $8.50. ;D

My apologies as well for not sending in a segment. I actually had some ideas for a couple of things, but never got the time to actually hammer them out.
I thought the show was solid from top to bottom. Kudos to the writer of Smith/Stryker for writing a really good opener. I thought the action was great, and Envi's commentary added another layer to it. Also, kudos to Dimitri for taking the initiative and sending in some creative stuff. With our crazy schedules and his computer issues, we never got the chance to hook up on any segments, but he deserves full credit for the cool twist at the end of Smith's match.

First of all congrats to all the winners. Secondly, here I go!
I liked the segment to open the show. Although, maybe it's just me, but I don't know how Kurt didn't just bust that rock through his teeth and make him look like Jason Kash. Incredible restraint by the champ there.
Good match between AC and Stryker there, adding Envi to the commentators box was a good move too. I could tell with Stryker that he was struggling for motivation this week so I'm not surprised by the AC win. It was a well written match and a good ending to it. But then again, I didn't think Stryker and Envi got along either, so it was weird to see him so pro Stryker throughout the match.
Nice little Yarmouth segment. This guy is just everywhere. It's only a matter of time before he starts winning things.
Good match between Slade and Harris. Wasn't a lot behind it, but it did what it needed to. Congrats to Harris on the win.
My segment! I really need to work with other guys this upcoming week. I normally write my segments day of show so I forget to get others involved. But either way, I'm always down for more Mark Mania.
Real good short segment between Envi and Noble. Envi's line about protecting Amy was great and I expected Noble to kill him. (Running theme)
Followed up by a classic Deli segment. We should definitely work together next week to set up the big match.
Brutal match for the Meltdown Showcase, albeit a little short, still a great match. Congrats to Shadow getting the win, maybe he'll be finding his way back up to the Overdrive card after all. Mannie and Yarmouth both had some good RP's, but I've really liked Shadow's stuff lately. Too bad Shane came in late, I could've seen him challenging for the title. Great to see Stryker come in and try and spark that feud quickly before Shockwave in a few weeks.
Real good segment between Kylie and T-Marv. I can't help but picture AJ when I read Kylie, she's just got that craziness that I can't push out of my head.
I always like seeing Level-One talk to the masses and this segment was no different. He's so universally hated by the crowd, it's just so enjoyable to see him play the bad guy to a T.
I got a big laugh from the Wanted poster. Great stuff to break up the show.
Big props to the match writer for my match, it was real fun RP'ing against Envi, kid is a hell of a talent. Hopefully next time you wont have to write your RP on your phone and at your sisters and we can really go at it. But for now, sorry bud, it is over.
A nice segment with Biggs, you see the softer side a little bit more. Always nice to have him on Overdrive though.
Great main event, I thought the jumbotron thing was brilliant, that would really take anyone off their game. It was a great device to set up the ending.
Speaking of the ending, anytime President Jeff is on the show it's a great time. He laid down the law. It has felt like the inmates were running the asylum (pardon my pun) and Jeff came in to lay down the law.
Overall, another great show, a lot more set-up to Shockwave and the Terry Marvin vs. Kurt Noble match has a lot to work with already, I couldn't be more excited. Great job everyone!

My segment! I really need to work with other guys this upcoming week. I normally write my segments day of show so I forget to get others involved. But either way, I'm always down for more Mark Mania. I'm sure we can work something together...I meant to send something in this week, but time got away from me. As for Overdrive... It was a good show. It might not have had the same lineup that the past few have had in terms of PPV quality match-ups, but it still had a great card. I liked how the show started, since it had a nice feel based on what happened last week. The matches were well written. The Meltdown one was a bit short, but it still fits. Not a knock on any of the guys involved, but it fits to have the "tryouts" having a shorter match then the current Overdrive guys. But maybe that's just me. I liked Envi being on commentary, because it gives the Smith/Envi stuff a bit more of a boost going into Shockwave. Nice little segment between Terry and Kylie, as was noted above, since it definitely adds to the feud. I liked the Level One bit, because he's been MIA since T4TB, had his involvement with Marvin last week, so it was a good chance for him to come out and speak his piece. Hilarious stuff with the wanted poster, and I'm curious to see where that goes (if it goes anywhere). Mania vs. Envi...I know there were computer issues, but I still like the outcome for the basic character of Envi. He's been tearing it up since signing to Meltdown, and has been making an impact on Overdrive, but it's kind of nice to see a veteran beat the younger upstart, kind of putting him in his place. While I know losing isn't awesome, it definitely gives Envi somewhere to go with it. As for the tron stuff at the end of the show...I liked it. It's something different, or at least, something that hasn't really been used on APW. It forced Noble to live in the nightmare of last week, and then allowed Marvin to take advantage of it, which sets up the entire feud nicely. An interesting spin with the no contact rule Jeff invoked, should be interesting to see how it plays out. Overall, it was a good show. I enjoyed reading through it and it definitely sets things up well going into the last week before Shockwave.

The tron footage was different but worked very well, The whole show was well written but I too thought the Meltdown match was a little short could have been a little longer but was still well written, Lots of segments which I love as I have said before segments make the show what it is if there where no segments it would just be plain boring.

And just a little complaint which I forgot to put in before i don't like been called a retard in the match one of the commentators in the match think it was chase called me a retard when Mannie did a moonsault on top of me sorry but if your calling Yarmouth a retard your calling me one so please who ever wrote that match please don't do it again it's not a nice word.
Apart from that the whole show was brilliant form start to finish.

I wouldn't take the word "Retard" offensive online Yarmouth. Anything online is going to be just words. Nothing deep enough that should be that stabbing if you feel my drift. Some people are just negative folks.
As for the show, I haven't given feedback for OD in a while. OD doesn't feedback Asylum or Meltdown so...
Regardless I read the show and feel like giving some spots a moment of love. The Contenders match for the Xtreme Title shocked me. Congrats to Shadow though, good stuff man. Great matches as per usual. Michael Harris, congrats on the win. You knew you needed to do something different to get back on track and have thus far. Harris is coming through loudly as even your Sykes promo was a bit Michael Harris so it's a good sign of things to come.
Can President Jeff stop making awesome one liners and new words of awesomeness? "Cold Hard Truth" is just something that came out perfectly. He took control of his show and if I was sitting in the stands, I'd have stood and cheered him for standing up to all that ego inside the ring. Tough managing Overdrive Talent but the Mighty Jeff seems to not back down. Good show, the tron part was a bit much but did it's job.
Rebel's wanted poster was funny, I instantly wanted to do a segment for Asylum where Kash tries to collect the bounty but I have my hands full right now as it is on Asylum so we'll see how much more this thing with L1 and Rebel goes.

Apart from that the whole show was brilliant form start to finish. Why would you take offense to that? The commentator was not calling YOU a retard. It was a heel commentator degregating a FACE wrestler. If you took offense to that, then you've got the wrong hobby. That said, I will not censor myself when I'm writing matches. If I said "the handler of Yarmouth is a retard" then you can take offense, but I did not. I just won't be writing any Yarmouth matches in the future for fear that the smallest little thing will offend you.

I don't think the word "retard" is funny or clever. If someone asks for you to not refer to their wrestler as one word they see as offensive, I don't see why you should react that way. Just don't call their wrestler a "retard." Perhaps you shouldn't write any of my matches for the future either.
With that said, I'll be providing feedback tonight.
Also, sorry Jason, for not providing feedback for Asylum. I've followed the last two shows and I think I've always left feedback for Meltdown, even after being drafted off-- but I will also leave feedback for the 7/29 Asylum.

I just don't believe in censorship, that is all. That being said... I wasn't trying to offend anybody. I have never and will never use my match writing to insult any person. My character has been called "FAT" and many derogatory versions of fat. I myself am fat. Should I ask said person never to call my character fat again? No...cause he wasn't talking about me. I'm not going to write matches/segments/rps trying to determine whether any of my language will offend anyone. Will I ever refer to Yarmouth as "retarded" again...no. But I'm not going to censor my writing.

Yeah I don't care either way about the "offensive" words because in truth, this is a game of playing something we are not. I don't think the word was used poorly, I think Yarmouth took it as a personal shot and I don't think TMarv meant that at all. He's never outright disrespectful OOC and his match writing would be that.
@envi: I wasn't meaning everyone should give feedback on every show. I could easily just focus on Asylum and ignore the other shows as well. I however support APW as a whole, not just the show my character is on. I'm not downgrading people if they don't do that, just how I am.

If Yarmouth was offended, that's not the way it was intended and I'll refrain from using the word in the future.
That's what I should have said in the first place and not gone on a rant/tirade so I apologize for that.
Also... I understand and appreciate that people thought the meltdown match was short. But was it really short? According to the guidelines in the "color coding guide" provided by Jeff, a normal match should be around 2-3 pages in word including entrances and pinfalls. This one was JUST over 5 pages.
I don't believe it was short... I believe that compared to the way matches have been on Overdrive...it wasn't nearly as long. But I also think that matches on overdrive are becoming PPV length and are starting to get out of control.
Anyways, as I said... I realize that it was shorter than most matches. But it's probably the length it should have been.

But I also think that matches on overdrive are becoming PPV length and are starting to get out of control. I agree and I think that's why it seemed short. Not because it was, but because every other match for the past few months has been HUGE and everything, that it seemed to lack in comparison. As for the other bit, one thing that I have learned is to never take offense at anything written in an RP or a show. I used to at the beginning but as time went by, it becomes something more to laugh at and move on. Gates has been called some interesting things in my time in APW (gay cowboy was one of them I think) and I took no offense.
