Drip..
Drip…
Drip…
It’s all I could hear as the water from the faucet in this public restroom, just continued to drip water. As I stood up from the toilet, I could hear people coming in. I opened the stall and walked to the dripping faucet, turning the valve open and started washing my hand. One of the two guys approached me, his hair to the side of his face and skinny jeans on. As far as I could tell, this was one of those emo kids.
“How did you get so big? You are so hot.”He questioned and stated, as I gave him a look that could kill small children. Apparently these two were homosexual emo kids, but I just shook my head and looked down at my hands under the running water. I turned the knob tightly so that the faucet wouldn’t drip any longer.
“Do you talk?” He asked another stupid question and I just responded by throwing him up against the wall and tossing him into the stall where my un-flushed crap was floating. I just walked past the other emo kid and continued my way back out to the convenient store. I didn’t have any money to buy anything, so naturally the Indian guy started saying something about it. Who cared though? Not me, I just walked outside and continued on my way. I had a big fight tonight in the underground, one that would put me up there as the Street Fighting Champion.
I walked a good while until reaching an ally way. I turned and started to walk down it, the smell was that of soiled homeless people and crack rocks. As I got about half way through the ally way, I turned to the metal door against the wall.

I pounded the secret knock on the door and the door man opened to let me in. “Look who it is, the next street fighting champ.” The door man pleasantly announced to everyone as I walked through the door.
“Thanks, let’s just wait until after the match before you start calling me that though.” I said modestly as I took his hand and embraced him with my other arm. The underground was full of people, all different races and sizes. Here it didn’t matter what you were or who you were, until you proved yourself in the fighting circle.
As I walked through the crowd I saw a match was already on its way. A young kid, who seemed to be in the wrong place, was fighting an old man that looked like hell. The kid was getting beat around pretty bad, but a match here didn’t end until you tapped out, said I quit, knocked unconscious or sometimes, people even died. I made my way to the dark corner in the room, something didn’t feel right, however I just went with it.
A man dressed up in nice clothes and a pimp hat approached me saying, “So are you ready, you go on after this right? My money is on you and you better win.”
“I haven’t lost yet, I don’t plan on it tonight.” I said with a smirk on my face. “Money well spent then.” He laughed as he put his hand on my shoulder. He stood against the wall next to me watching the young kid and the old man fighting, it was about a few seconds after that the old man was knocked out by a quick upper cut. The young man raised his arms up in victory and the crowd of the underground started cheering for him.
“Can you believe that cat won?” The pimp like man said to me. “Size doesn’t always matter; neither does age, especially here in the underground. I am up, enjoy your money.” I said as I continued to the circle in between the crowd. I set my feet in the dirt and took off my shirt. The body heat in the room itself started to make me sweat already. A man similar in my size stood on the other side of the circle, cracking his knuckles and neck. I stood there calm and stared him down in the eye, he charged me and I delivered a devastating knee to his gut. It seemed to knock the breath out of him as he hunched over, I was quick to give him an upper cut to the face, splattering blood from his mouth to the crowd. It didn’t knock him down, but really pissed him off.
The crowd began to go crazy as once again the man tried to punch me; I dodged each attack and gave him a quick head butt to the face, breaking his nose. His face was now bloody all over, but he just wiped it off and licked it off his chin. I came at him this time with a body punch and then one real hard to his face.

He didn’t get up, he just laid there lifeless. I won, it was over, I was the underground street fighting champion. However I didn’t know what was going to happen next would change my life forever. I went back to the man I was talking to in the corner and he presented me with a badge and hand cuffs.
“Fuck.” I said as the metal door opened and the police flooded in. I couldn’t resist arrest; I was going to jail or worse prison.

I had already been through court and I was now just sitting there in my cell. An officer came to my new caged home.
“Vincent Pennington!” He said and I stood up saying,
“Yea, that’s me.” He opened the cell.
“You have been bailed out, you are free to go.” He said as I became very confused.
“Who the hell would bail me out? “ I said as I walked out of the jail.
“I would Vincent.” A girl’s voice said to me and I turned to face her, but the sun was so bright I couldn’t see her face. As she got closer I could see it was Sienna, someone I hadn’t seen in years and used to manage me in wrestling.
“Sienna…Won’t your brother be a little upset that you bailed me out?” I asked with a confused look on my face still there.
“Vincent, he might be rude about it, but it won’t bother him. I want to manage you again, get you off these streets and back into the ring. My brother wrestles in APW. I want to take you there and help you get your life back together, because you do mean something to me.” She sounded concerned, and it had been a long time since I have had someone actually care.
“Well let’s get to it then Mrs. Harrison.” I said while getting into her limo, “You coming?” I said and she smirked walking over to the limo stepping inside.
