It had been a long couple of months for APW Mega Star: Michael Harris. He went from being one of the fastest rising up and comers in the company to virtually becoming nothing. One loss lead to another and before you knew it Harris was about as far down the totem pole as one could go. It didn’t look like Harris was ever going to be able to rebound.
For what it is worth, Harris blamed Nick Watson for the constant downfalls he was having. Not too many people believed anything other than Harris was at fault for his own short comings. However over the last month, things have been a little different for Harris. It was like there was a fire lit under him and from that point on he had been proving people wrong left and right.
Over the last month Harris has picked up three straight victories. He has managed to drop what he considers dead weight in the form of former APW North American Champion: Carmen Rivera. On top of that Harris put Nick Watson out of action for a few weeks to send a message loud and clear to Watson. He has truly turned himself around and has gave people a reason to view him as a threat once again.
And just this past week on Overdrive. It was officially confirmed that Michael Harris and Nick Watson will go one on one with each other. No doubt about it these two are going to beat the living hell out of each other. Watson is going to want to get revenge for what Harris did a few weeks ago. Of course on the flip side Harris is going to want to keep his roll going and the perfect way to do that is by beating the man he claims cost him everything.
Most people would see the match going either way. Watson has a reason to gain a victory. Harris has a reason to gain a victory. Thus the reason why when the two of them actually hook up in the ring with each other all hell is going to break loose and some of the best wrestling ever seen will be witnessed. However in the end only one of them can leave with a victory. Stay tuned to Shockwave to find out which one of them it is going to be.[/i]

[ NEVER LOSE FOCUS ]
We are a few days removed from Overdrive and seeing as Michael Harris was going to need to be in Los Angeles this weekend for Shockwave. That meant today his son and daughter would be spending the next couple days with their biological mother – if you really want to call it that. More like egg donor more than anything else really. Harris walked right up the front door and rang the doorbell.
He stood there patiently waiting for the door to open. Seconds later it indeed came open and Harris stood face to face with one of his three ex-wives. The two of them shared glares with one another that spoke louder than any words could. It didn’t take Jayden and Mikhalia to run on inside to put their things up. Once they were out of sight, Charlene proceeded to smack the taste right out of Harris’s mouth.
Charlene Baltimore: You sorry son of a bitch!
Harris held his face for a split second as he could feel the sting from the slap. It didn’t take him long at all to whip his head back in her direction with quite the mean mug featured.
Charlene Baltimore: How could you have been so careless?! How could you have put out son in harm’s way?! How could you let that disgusting creature touch one hair on my perfect little boy’s head?! I want answers and I want them now!
Michael Harris: Last time I checked, I divorced your ass for a reason. I don’t have to answer to you about anything, and you know something else? Maybe if you weren’t out getting knocked up by delivery boys and actually bothered to spend more than few days every couple months with your kids. I wouldn’t have to leave them behind with Jon and Jayden likely wouldn’t have been in that position.
Charlene Baltimore: That’s cute Michael, real cute actually. I should have expected you to find some way to pin this on me but truth be told Michael. We both know that you know this is your entire fault. You once again did something stupid and those around you ended up paying for it. You’re just lucky nothing happened to him. But I do want to know what you plan on doing to this skank?
Michael Harris: I don’t plan on doing anything.
Those words coming out of his mouth made Charlene want to rip his head clear off his shoulder. How in the hell could Carmen put Jayden in such a harm’s way? And then Harris literally does nothing to her for what she did? That was all that she could think about. It wasn’t something she wanted to hear so once could imagine that she wasn’t going to be in the best of moods.
Charlene Baltimore: What the hell do you mean you aren’t planning on doing anything? That cunt put our child in danger and you’re just going to let walk away with her life?! I can see that you have lost your touch – more so now than ever but you BETTER do something about what she did. I swear to god if you don’t there is going to be hell to pay.
Michael Harris: There was hell to pay by being married to you for two years. I am sure that I can take whatever the hell you can throw at me now and it wouldn’t bother me in the slightest. There is a reason that I’m not going to do anything and that reason happens to be a match that needs my attention. I cannot lose sight of what matters on Sunday, if I do then things aren’t going to end very well for me and I can’t have that. Things have been bad enough as it is.
Charlene Baltimore: Are you seriously standing here on my porch telling me that your career? You getting things back on track? And you being everything that you want to be is more important to you than your son’s wellbeing? It is more important to you than making the bitch pay for what she did? Have you seriously lost your fucking mind?!
Michael Harris: This is coming from a bitch that has a multiple personality disorder? Yeah, get the fuck up out my face with that. However I am not saying anything like that. You are doing what you always do and you’re trying to make a big deal out of nothing. Trying to spin shit and trying to create an argument. I don’t have time for that. I know what I am doing. My son is fine and as long as he’s fine then I can put my attention and my focus on where it needs to be. And when the time is right, I’ll take care of Carmen. I’ll do what I have to do there as a parent, something you clearly don’t know shit about.
Before there was even a chance for her to come back with anything to say. Harris turned his back to her and started to walk away. If he didn’t it would lead to nothing more than constant back and forth bickering among them. He left that behind for a reason when they got divorced and had no real plans to continue on with it. Not to mention he knew what he had to do for himself and his career and wasn’t going to be judged for it in the process.

[ A TRUE COMEBACK ]
It had only been twenty four hours since the Untouchable One had landed in Los Angeles, California. It had been a pretty busy twenty four hours to say the least. He had done an official APW Press Conference. He was forced to do some meet and greets along with some other things as well. Now this morning when he woke up he had a message where he was supposed to join someone at a restaurant for dinner.
There wasn’t much details other than the restaurant and what time he needed to be there. No name as far as where the message had come from. None the less though, Harris complied. He was walking through the restaurant doors when he saw a familiar person sitting at the table call him over. Harris simply sighed and walked over to that person. Both men shook hands despite Harris not being too pleased about this man’s appearance.
Michael Harris: Why did I have a feeling that you were going to be the one behind all of this?
Old Man: Because secretly deep down inside you were hoping that I’d be here this weekend. Let’s face it Michael, as much as you continue to deny it and as much as you claim this and claim that. You know no matter what you’re going to always need me.
Michael Harris: No that isn’t the case. I do however think that you want me to need you so you can continue to feel like you have control over my career and control over what I do. Truth be told old man, I haven’t asked for your advice in a rather long time and I don’t plan on asking for it any time soon. I have set my own ways a long time ago and they have been working for me just fine. I don’t need you anymore.
Old Man: I give you that much. You have been set in your own ways and you have managed to create a lot of success for yourself based on that. However over time things change and eventually things don’t always work the way they used too. eventually comes a time where you have no other choice but to revamp yourself. You have to re-event yourself and it has gotten to that point. You are no longer relevant to this business and things aren’t going that great for you in APW. Least not the way you were expecting them too.
By now Harris was sitting there at the table looking at the old man. He didn’t seem too pleased with the words that he had just heard. So much in fact that it was something he just couldn’t bite his tongue on.
Michael Harris: I admit that I fell from grace. I admit that things went downhill but that is all because of Watson. If it hadn’t been for that one night he got lucky than I would be sitting at this table as the Undisputed Champion. I don’t give a fuck what anyone says that would be happening, and you have you not paid attention to things the last few weeks? I have been on a roll. I have managed to turn a lot of things around. I’m back on track and now it comes full circle when I get in the ring with Nick.
Old Man: So what? You have managed to pick up a few wins. So what? You have a little bit of a roll going for ya. So what? It all comes full circle when you get in the ring with Nick Watson. Is that supposed to mean anything to me? You shouldn’t be in a position where you needed to have a comeback. You shouldn’t have needed to be in a position where you had to get a roll started all over again. You damn sure shouldn’t have been in a position where your career was virtually dead around here in APW, and you shouldn’t be in a position where everything comes full circle and makes sense just by facing Watson. You should have destroyed him the first time around but you didn’t. You failed and you failed big time.
Michael Harris: I failed when I didn’t put Watson out of action after he got lucky. That is the only thing that I failed at but you know something old man? I have had it up to here with your mouth and your constant judging me. You act like you never fell on hard times in your career. You act like you had a perfect record in this business. You act like nothing bad has ever happened to you, and we both know that’s a damn lie. You can judge me and you can say all you want about me but there is a big difference between the two of us. While you’re sitting there pointing fingers at me for what I have done wrong. That’s all you’re doing. You’re just sitting there judging. I don’t see you getting in the ring and I don’t see you actually doing anything productive to prove just how good you play yourself off to be.
Judging by the look that the old man was giving at this moment. He wasn’t too pleased with Harris calling his bluff so to speak. In fact he looked rather pissed off but that didn’t seem to be any of Harris’s real concern.
Michael Harris: Nick Watson got lucky. He managed to take a lot away from me, but where most pathetic people would have given up. I picked myself up off the mat and got right back in the game. I’m the best this business has to offer. I know I am the best and I don’t give a damn what records show. I can get the job done in that ring. week in and week out. I can do it better than anyone else. Watson is going to pay for robbing me of so much, and once I have taken care of that. My focus is going to go right back where it belongs. That of course having everything to do with becoming the next Undisputed Champion.
Old Man: You think you’re funny calling me out do you? Well here’s a newsflash for you kid. I don’t need to get in that ring. I don’t have anything to prove. I haven’t had anything to prove in years. That’s just how damn good I am. You on the other hand don’t have a right to say something like that. You have something to prove. You are the one that failed and allowed Watson to put yourself in this position.
Michael Harris: Again there you go with talking all that trash as if I don’t know about the position that I am in. There you go talking about how I don’t have a right to call myself great. I have done everything there is to do in this business at least three times over. I am one of the biggest names that has been heard of and sure things aren’t great now. They will be soon enough and all it takes is putting Nick Watson out of commission for good. Truth be told old man. I am better than you ever thought about being. I passed you up a long time ago and maybe it is time for you to swallow that pill and accept things for how they are.
Old Man: Ha, that’s a good one Michael. I’ll tell you what though. It is rather rare that people prove me wrong. I know this business better than you do kid. I know what it takes to be the best. I know what it takes to be all you want to be. I also know when someone has lost their touch and when it is time for them to step away from the business. You wouldn’t take my subtle hints before. You wouldn’t take anything I said seriously and you have done all you can to avoid my advice. Well there’s no running from it now. You can’t hack it anymore Harris. You cannot and you will not beat Watson. Get that through your thick skull and just fucking quit already.
Michael Harris: Changing your tune drastically eh? All because I told it like it was. That’s fine because your opinion is irrelevant to me and it has been for quite a while now. In fact your opinion is completely irrelevant to this business as a whole but thank what you want. You’re going to be in the same position as Watson when I end up proving the both of you wrong on Sunday.
There was clearly nothing else that Harris had to say. He had enough of this back and forth between the two of them. He was sick of the old man showing up uninvited only to rip him in shreds. Like Harris said earlier on, he hasn’t needed the old man in quite some time and he isn’t going to need him any time soon. Harris wasted no time at all exiting the restaurant leaving things unsolved between the two of them and leaving people wondering if this was the end of their long-long friendship. None the less though, it was a concern that was last on Harris’s mind. It was all about Shockwave for now.

[ THE TIME HAS COME ]
Los Angeles, California was such a beautiful city. There was always something to do and there was always something going on. It was never boring and this coming weekend something huge happened to be going on in the city. That something was APW’s Shockwave event. In a matter of days thousands upon thousands of fans were going to walk into the Staples Center to witness some of the best wrestling that has ever been seen.
With that being said the official APW cameras proceeded to open up to the empty Staples Center. It was where they were told to report so there had to be a reason for it. All of the sudden Michael Harris emerged from the darkness and stood in the dim light in the center of the floor – where the Los Angeles Lakers were famous for playing. He looked right at the cameras and literally wasted no time at all with speaking.
Michael Harris: On day one when I walked in APW. I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I knew exactly what I wanted to accomplish. On top of all that I knew just how good I was and therefore I’d be presenting quite a problem for those that were running wild within APW. It didn’t take long at all for me to prove just that.
He stood there still with a rather serious face being displayed. Everyone remembered the day he stepped foot into APW and knew that things were about to change. He did just that, he brought change to the entire company.
Michael Harris: I was going through people left and right. In just a matter of being here a few months I got the chance to compete on APW’s grandest stage of them all RassleMania for the Xtreme Championship none the less. There has been people that have been a part of this company for years and has yet to have a match at RassleMania. That right there should tell people just how damn good I am despite everyone wanting to deny it.
It was a bit of a true statement. Most people wanted to deny Harris the fact that he was good. They wanted to deny him that he was one of the best – if not the very best. However it was hard for them to do that with his legendary resume.
Michael Harris: But within a blink of an eye things changed. I suddenly didn’t have the attention of everyone that I once had. All of the sudden people started to see me as nothing more than a joke. All of the sudden people started writing me off as if I didn’t matter. I was just the Overdrive joke and the jobber that everyone felt was easy to smack around. Why did that happen? What caused the sudden change? Well it’s a real simple answer and the answer is Nick Watson.
Harris had stated that name while clenching his teeth together. Obviously just saying the name irritated Harris, but the show must go on especially seeing as what lye ahead of him in a few days.
Michael Harris: Nick was everything that I had suddenly become. Nick couldn’t buy a win to save his life. Nick was the joke. Nick was the jobber. Nick was the worst thing that had ever come to Overdrive but he managed to turn that all around when he got lucky. On one lucky night the stars all lined up in the right alignment and Nick Watson defeated me in the center of the ring. It was at that moment Nick Watson’s luck had taken everything that I had worked to achieve in APW and he was the one that was getting all the praise. All of the sudden people saw him as the next big thing. Everything I was and everything I was supposed to be was suddenly Nick Watson.
He stood there shaking his head from side to side a little bit. It wasn’t hard to figure out that he was rather annoyed with the situation at hand. However despite him being as annoyed as he was. He had a chance to make it right and that has been the only thought running through his mind.
Michael Harris: Now you people can see why I blame Nick Watson. He cost me everything I had and it was all because he had gotten lucky. It wasn’t like his victory was decisive. It wasn’t like Nick was better than me. It wasn’t like anything other than the fact he got lucky and apparently luck goes a long way around here in APW seeing as he got all the praise that he did. However I knew the moment he got lucky and I knew that moment he started getting all this attention that I was going to have to be the one to terminate him for good. He cost me what I had and I want it back, but the only way that is possible is by complete termination. That is exactly what awaits Watson this coming Sunday night.
For the first time since the cameras opened up Harris was showing a little bit of emotion. That emotion being a sadistic little grin spreading across his lips. Right then and there, people could see Harris wasn’t joking around.
Michael Harris: I happen to be a fair man though. I gave Watson just a little taste of what was coming a few weeks ago prior to his match with Evan Envi. Considering how much Watson had cost me and seeing as how much he had taken away from me. I felt obligated to be fair and show him what was coming his way. I felt obligated to give him a sample of what’s waiting for him just so he can attempt to prepare himself. You see I want him to put up a fight because I want to enjoy this match. I don’t just want to terminate him without it being fun. I want him to fight with everything he has just so I can prove it isn’t enough and just so I can watch him suffer just a little bit more as he knows his best just wasn’t enough.
Once again it was no shock to anyone that Harris got a sick sense of satisfaction off things like that. He thoroughly enjoyed watching people fight against him and do their best to survive against him – simply because he knew that they were going to fail in the end.
Michael Harris: Trust me I know that you think differently Watson. I know you think just because you beat me once before that you can beat me again. I know that you assume that you can hang with me. I know that you assume that you’re going to get revenge for me putting you on the injury reserve list for a few weeks. I know that your fans have the same logic that you do thus making them just as dumb as you are. See, another big difference between us is I happen to not be stupid. I have been around this block quite a few times. I know what someone is thinking. I know when someone assumes that have the IT factor and I know when someone actually believes they have what it takes to stay in the ring with me. I get that feeling with you Nick, but it doesn’t change the fact you are wrong.
Of course that was just his opinion. There was a good chance that Harris himself could be wrong. After all he was proven wrong once before when he went up against Watson. It very well could happen again.
Michael Harris: And I also know that you’re thinking that I’m full of hot air. You think I am just an egotistical son of a bitch that has no idea what he is talking about. You also probably assume that with everything that’s been going on lately with Carmen – especially after last week involving my family that I’m not focused. That my mind isn’t where it needs to be. That I’m not really concerned with this match. You see that as a free ticket to gain another victory and you see that as a free ticket to attempt to prove that you are better than me once again. Well I enjoy being the bearer of bad news especially when it comes to situations like this. You couldn’t be any more wrong than what you already are. It is just a matter of time before I prove you wrong.
Harris stood there nodding his head just a little bit. Obviously there was something going on in that head of his. There was some type of reason behind his logic. Good thing was he wouldn’t make people wait long at all to reveal his logic and reason behind it all.
Michael Harris: I might have had a lot going on when it comes to Carmen, but that doesn’t play a factor in anything now. That is the furthest thing from my mind. I am more than focused on this match. I am more than ready for this match. Like I said you took away what I had and you are the cause of why things have fallen apart. You’re the cause as to why I am not competing in championship matches. You’re the cause of why I don’t get the respect that I deserve. You’re the cause of me being held back here in APW. It is all your fault but now is the time to make it right. Now is the time to make you pay and now is the time to get my career back on the track. I’ll prove to everyone that your first win over me was a joke. It was a fluke and it had every last bit to do with being lucky. Think what you want but I know the truth and sooner rather than later you’ll be forced to come head to head with it.
He was clearly showing Watson up when it came to being a matter of words and insults. At the same time though it wasn’t about who could talk the most or insult each other the best. Words were just words all that mattered was what took place inside the ring. With that being said, Harris had one final message to deliver to Watson.
Michael Harris: Nick, I have said it once. I have said it twice and I’m going to continue to say it until you get it through your thick skull. At Shockwave, I can and I will terminate you for good. That time has come and I have to do what is right for me. This is what you get when you mess with the devil himself. In the end you get burned. On Shockwave, you will lose what is important to you because … I AM SIMPLY BETTER THAN YOU!
Harris stood there in silence with that same serious look given once again. It was clear that he was rather high on himself and that he believed that in a few days on Shockwave. He was going to end up making everything right – at least right for himself and the way that he saw things as right. Harris didn’t want to admit it but he did have his work cut out for him. It wasn’t just going to be a walk in the park.
Regardless of rather it was a walk a park, one of the most brutal fights ever witnessed, or it was just a match that was going to contribute to a great pay per view. Either way you looked at it this was going to be a great match between the two of them. The two of them were going to get a chance to work out their issues and this would be a match that would provide history for all of APW.
